Hotell Wingate by Wyndham Manhattan Midtown - New York

Vårt rum var mycket snyggt och prydligt, rent och fräscht, nästan perfekt om man vill säga det. Hotellfrukosten var sådär, bra i överlag men jag har också ätit bättre. Mycket nära till allt, både Times' square och penn station samt resten av stadens mitt inom gångavstånd. Har man rätt sällskap är detta hotell perfekt ! Lite dyrt bara (:

Bra läge, bra storlek på rummen, bra frukost, trevlig personal. Det enda jag skulle undvika är restaurangen Crudo som hör till hotellet för annat än frukost - då den är toppen. Priserna i restaurangen är dyra och maten trist och smaklös jämfört med all annan bra mat som finns i närheten.

A quite small hotel but perfect loacated near the shopping district, only a block away from Macy´s and 2 blocks from Empire State Building , close to Time square and Broadway, between Lower Manhattan and Central Park, makes it perfect for exploring Manhattan by foot. Mycket trevlig personal, suveräna rum, inget oljud utifrån (bodde högst upp mot bakgård), frukost ingick trots att det enligt bokningen inte skulle göra det, gratis internet via wi-fi. Fick rummet 2 timmar före utsatt tid. Nackdel - skulle väl vara att de tar betalt för att förvara bagaget ett par timmar efter utcheckning.

Enkla rum, men trevligt ändå. Lite väl bullrig AC på rummet, och hårda sängar - men mycket positiv helhet med bra läge, god frukost och trevlig personal.

Hotellet ligger mycket bra. Gångavstånd till Madison square garden, Times square, Empire, T-bana, Macy's mm ! Härlig frukost med våfflor, kaffe/te, bröd, fil, äggröra, mm. Hjälpsam personal med tex. bokning av privat bil. Utcheckning kl 11.00 men man kunde lämna bagaget på hotellet. (men det kostade 3 dollar/väska)

Hotellets läge är perfekt i mitten på södra Manhattan, vilket innebär gångavstånd till det mesta. Hotellet är helt ok och prisvärt med tanke på de höga hotellpriserna på Manhattan. Utsikt (?) mot bakgård och bullrande luftkonditionering får man stå ut med. Frukost ingick fast det inte stod så vid bokningen och den var helt ok.

We stayed for 5 days. The room was clean and nicely furnished. We had no problems with street noise. The room size was pretty good for NYC. The staff was courteous. The breakfast was surprisingly robust with eggs, meat, yogurt, pastries and cereals. Get to breakfast early, once the yogurt for the day runs out, there is no replacement.

We came up for events at Madison Square Garden- how great to be back in your room 10 minutes after the event ends! we took in a Mets game as well and the 7 train was right there at Penn Station as well. Great location, will definitely stay again. Plus, breakfast in the am saves you$$$$$

It's a small hotel with a great staff who are willing to do everything you need to be comfortable. It will be the first hotel I check for availability whenever I return.

I attended a convention at the Javits Center. The Wingate is located about a block from Macy's. The day I arrived, they checked my bag without charge even though it was too early to check in. The room was spacious by New York standards and had a very comfortable king-sized bed. It had a microwave and mini-fridge. There is a free breakfast included that included not only the usual cold cereal and bagels but scrambled eggs and sausage one day and eggs and bacon the next. This hotel was perfect for a nice, clean, comfortable place to sleep. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to MSG & everything was close, including the garage. We would definitely stay here again & have already recommended it to our friends.

Good value overall

This was our 2nd stay.....great location. Easy walk to all sights and subway. The service was good. Front desk messed up our car reservations and we had to ask for towels. Great breakfast and overall everyone at the hotel was very accomodating and friendly. I would definately stay there again. Cant wait until our next trip to NYC.

The hotel is in a decent location w/in the garment district, good for walking to Times Square and Broadway. Breakfast is not too bad - cereal, some fresh fruit, reasonably cooked eggs & a meat, waffle makers, juice & coffee & even skim milk - but it is almost exactly the same every day. There are a small number of rooms on each of 18 floors and a fitness […] room in the basement with one treadmill, one eliptical and one bicycle machine along with one weight machine that was out-of-repair our whole stay of 5 days. The location of the hotel was great. Within walking distance of Madison Square Garden as well as the massive Macy's on Broadway. The room was cozy although really chilly. We had the thermostat on 78. Parking was really expensive. They do not mention there is no parking and you can park your car in a garage a block away. Parking is $35 per day plus  […] tax. Läs mer

Clean, safe, convenient, affordable, and very friendly staff. Small fitness center, but great to have nonetheless. Perfect for the business traveler who needs to get in/out of the city with no hassle.

Pleasantly surprised with cleanliness and breakfast which included hot choices. Staff was helpfull. Only drawback was that you could hear the street noises such as garbage truck on some mornings. Location was great...only a few blocks from Times Square! Overall ...great price for location!

The staff was very helpful, and the rooms were larger than we expected in midtown Manhattan. The price was also very resonable given the location and season.

Very happy with the Wingate. We had a room on the 10th floor and it was very quiet. We had no view but that was not important. We ate breakfast around 9:00 am every morning and it was very crowded but a good way to start your day. Our biggest mistake was to drive to the front of the hotel to pick up our bags at the end of our stay - a short trip around […] the block took about 30 minutes - should have dragged our bags down to the parking lot and left from there. Great service, comfy, quiet room and perfect location!

My family of four stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Manhattan and we highly recommend it. It is brilliantly located a short walk from Macy's, the Empire State Building and Penn Station and It's an easy walk to Times Square. It was so easy to catch the subway everywhere - to Central Park, Rockefeller Center and 9-11 memorial. The staff were excellent […] - very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. This was another nice Wingate hotel, very very conveniently located on Fashion Avenue (7th Ave). The staff was ready to handle questions and requests, but the location really sold the place. There is a nice bar/restaurant attached that I didn't take advantage of. Hotels.com gave a much cheaper price than directly through the hotel!

Nice size rooms w/king. New decor, granite bath, etc. Excellent location. One block to Macy's, Penn Station. Only 10 minute walk to Time Sq.

My friend and I decided to stay here on a whim.. we got a wonderful rate and really liked how close the hotel appeared to be to Penn Station. We LOVED it. From the free wi-fi (in room) to the free continental breakfast (which had scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc.), to the location (walk around the block to Penn Station/subway […] and Macy's).. it was exactly what we were looking for. This is a VERY comfortable hotel. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the only missing convenience was a bathrobe. Despite the double pane windows, you could hear some street noise and some noisy people on the streets, but this is hardly the hotel's fault.. it's New York! (The hotel is on 35th street: busy on weekdays but rather deserted […] weekends and nights). The noise was NOT out of line for NY, though sensitive sleepers might want to go to a luxury hotel. The neighborhood is not NYC's finest..a bit downscale, but not dangerous. Very close to the best camera shops. Penn Station is a block away, so you can walk your luggage (though crowds) to the hotel if you take the air train and Long Is RR from Kennedy. A short walk from Broadway, and every shop (EG drugstore) you could need near Penn Station. Half block from Macy's. Excellent bus and subway access. A 10 dollar cab ride can get you most places, and cabs are everywhere. 10 minutes from Broadway. You can stay in nicer neighborhoods, but not for this price.. and nothing is more convenient. My only complaint: I had some trouble working the modern thermostat, but then I never asked for directions. (My bad). I'd stay here again anytime. Our group was extremely satisfied with Wingate Mid Town Manhattan - the Front Desk Staff very friendly, helpful - gave recommendations on good restaurants, high quality toiletries in bathroom, the comlimentary breakfast good to set out for the day it is close to the major stores - Macys, JC Penney & just a few streets up - you are in Times Square, all […] transportation hubs, subways, bus station, Penn Station... This is an excellent hotel. Very nice, modern room. Very good size room for staying in New York City. Bathroom very large. Bed's, comforters & pillows so so comfortable. Includes microwave & fridge. Great location, right in the shopping area, close to empire state building and close to Times Square (.06 mile). Staff so so nice. Parking garage a block […] and half away and you get a discount for staying at hotel (still expensive but it is everywhere in nyc) Subway Shop across street. Finding hotels in NYC is such a pain - it's never reasonably priced..or conveniently located. This small hotel tucked in W. midtown worked perfect for us. The room is spacious in NYC standards. Note that this hotel is not a luxury hotel, but it works. The only amenity that failed on me was the lack of iPod/iPhone dock. Very friendly staff. Breakfast […] is included which is rare in NYC hotels. Note, though, that they charge $5/piece for storing your luggage. Great value over all. It works. :) Läs mer

I stayed for one night and needed to catch a flight at EWR. The hotel is very near to Penn Station thus it's super convenient if you want to catch the NJ Transit to EWR. They won't allow late check out though...

My stay at the Wingate by Wyndham was excellent. The room was very well kept, the staff was very attentive and professional, and the location of the hotel was very convenient to an array of stores for shopping. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Location is great-- very central to everything. Rooms are modern and clean; front desk staff is nice and helpful. Overall a great value for NYC and midtown.

People were helpful. Close to Time Square..Cleaning people had to be told to leave a extra glass and then it was a cheap plastic glass..Did not put bedspread on the bed after the first day.. Cleaning people could of taken more care. Lobby staff very helpful.

Our recent stay at the Wingate Inn was perfect. We got to the hotel early, so our room was not ready for check in, and they stored our luggage for free. However, upon check out, they required a $5 fee per luggage item to store the bags. That is the only down side I found. Everything else was fine. Overall, a great experience.

Location, location, location!!! You are one block away from the main links in or around NY. What more do I have to say!
