During the week 27 in 2011 we visited the Carrmoor Guest House in Carrbridge south of Inverness in Scotland. The atmosphere and the family who runs the guest house are very friendly and service minded. The house is newly renovated and situated in a calm area of the little village Carrmore. Our double rooms were very comfortable and clean with nice furniture and tastefully interiors. In the lounge we met guests from different countries who returned to the guest house every year. A perfect place if you want to explore whiskey distilleries, walk and climb in the mountains or go to the famous lake Loch Ness. Furthermore, the dinner that we enjoyed in the evening was very good. We stayed for one night in this lovely little hotel just outside Aviemore (a few minutes drive into Aviemore). The hotel is a lovely old coach house and has been kept in good condition. The lounge areas and bar area were welcoming but perhaps could have been heated a little warmer (despite the log fires it felt a little cold). Our room was clean and […] comfortable and the bathroom also in very good condition. What made this hotel stand out was the quality of the food we had. We had our evening meal in the small restauraunt and it was delicious. Everything was freshly cooked and the portions very generous! I would highly recommend eating there however make sure you book as numbers did appear to be limited. Full Scottish breakfast in the morning was equally as good. The service from all staff was great too - very friendly and more than happy to pass on local knowledge of things to do in the area. We would definitely return to this hotel. Läs mer
