It was charming.

We had a lovely stay at the Inn on the Horse Farm. The owners were perfect hosts; they made a homemade breakfast for us and shared with us the history of their Inn... but otherwise gave us total privacy. I grew up 8 miles from this beautiful old town and this beautiful old farm, and I can't remember seeing either place before. It was a revelation! The proprietors have lived here many years and it is a working farm -- they are casual and kind and friendly, and they absolutely left me alone. It was a sort of retreat in the country, January, the off-season, […] so everything was very quiet. For a gigantic old house, it was very warm and comfortable in my room. I enjoyed my brief stay at this beautiful horse farm. The entire home is dedicated to the love of horses and antiques. They also have chickens on the property. My room was stunningly beautiful and appointed with all kinds of horse decor. The shared bathroom was clean but a little tight, but it is an old property so, it is all part of the place. This bed and breakfast was wonderful. There are horses and chickens and geese and a very sweet cat. The host that night was Kim, who was wonderful along with her very sweet young son. They had 2 dogs as well, which was nice to spend time with the whole family. We were finishing up from a family reunion on our way to another town, and stayed here for […] the night to get away for a bit. It was wonderful. The setting was very peaceful, easy access to things in the area. Kim cooked us a very nice breakfast with eggs from the chickens on the farm. Great stay! Easy to find with a nav system. Excellent bed - very comfortable and roomy king bed with fantastic canopy to round out the mood. Jacuzzi tub was a surprise and fun to play with. It may be a lovely place but I'll never know. The owner double booked and due to a death in the family forgot to inform hotels.com I settled for a room further from my destination in Acton...a perfectly nice room in an old Victorian owned by the same people. It was on the main street so there was quite a lot of traffic. I guess it would have been a […] more friendly atmosphere if the owners lived there, but the key was taped to the front door. The room was very clean and came with a full bath. A small TV with no cable...a coffeemaker and fridge, etc..hairdryer, shampoo, a few chocolate chip muffins.. We had lovely stay in an inexpensive room and a nice breakfast, all for a modest price. This is not a fancy place to stay by any means, more like visiting friends at their farm. I found the sign to get in the Inn very difficult, but once there the atmosphere, landscaping and overall feel is pretty amazing. As a business traveler, normally I like a business center to print, fax, etc and did not ask if they had these facilities, but my guess is they are more focused on the relaxation standpoint rather than the business side. Not being from the area, really loved the changing of the leaves as well. The breakfast was a very large cheese omelet, with english muffins and fresh squeezed orange juice. All the comforts of home and none of the work! This was my first stay in a B&B, and it was a wonderful experience. Joan and Rick made me feel very welcome. I loved my room, and enjoyed walking on the path around the property. Located in close proximity to historic Concord and Lexington, I also found it convenient to get to Boston from the inn by taking […] a short drive to the nearest train station. Joan was helpful with directions when I needed them. Breakfast was always tasty, and I enjoyed sitting on the porch with my morning coffee on the days when the weather was warm. I also appreciated the free wifi available in the common areas. I had an altogether relaxing, quiet and affordable 5-day stay, and would definitely stay here again if I find myself returning to the Boston area. Läs mer

Fantastic service. We were coming from Boston and needed to check in late (midnight), so I called and Joan said everything would be ready for us. The only problem we had was that it was a bit hard to find from the road, especially at night. A very friendly cat welcomed us outside and walked us to the door. When we arrived, she had left directions to […] our room and we had no trouble. The room was great; a bit cramped, but in a quaint way. Bed was obscenely comfortable, and the decor was lovely. Our room did not have a private bath; the bathroom in the hall was clean and narrow. In the morning Joan cooked us omelettes and toast, and we had our choice of fresh coffee or tea, and OJ. We checked out at 11 but were able to stick around til 3, walking around the grounds and petting the horses. The property has more than one swing hanging from trees, that could easily have fit 3-4 people. It was a very peaceful place. There is a supermarket a few miles away, and we didn't see many restaurants nearby, so lunch was a bit of an adventure. But all in all a great little place. For animal lovers like us, it was the perfect place for a romantic weekend away. Läs mer

Quite a distance out of Boston and sign barely visible from road, but otherwise very good, we got a no charge upgrade to the Honeymoon suite, even though our business in Boston was far away from such things, Grounds big enough for a potter, not really a walk, horses friendly enough, geese not sure. Breakfast very good and served quickly

This place is a bit far out from Boston (40 min). This is not a problem as long as you know what to expect. If you're used to driving, as I am, it's not bad at all. The visit was amazing. A very relaxing way to stay in the greater Boston area. If you stay, make sure to walk around the property and feed the horses!

I had a wonderful stay at the Inn. The experience was so positive, I cannot wait to return. I was visiting friends in Boston and found the trip there quite direct. I also explored the Lexington and Concord National Historic sites which are located quite nearby. I would highly recommend this Inn.

After a busy few days in Boston, we really enjoyed taking some time to relax here. The owners were super nice and the service for breakfast was outstanding! How can you complain about a home cooked meal? I must for someone wanting some time out of the city or a place to stay when visiting some of the historical sites near Lexington/Concord.

Normally, we don't "do" B&Bs, because we like our privacy and space. We wanted to stay very near Sudbury Center, and this was the only option. To our great delight, staying at the inn was a wonderful experience. We had all the space we needed, both in the house (nice, large "common" area) and on the grounds.
