Hotell Courtyard by Marriott Munich City Center - München

Did spend 2 nights there recently, and have nothing to complain about. Everything there perfect or almost. The only thing to complain about was that the hotel did lock up 100 Euro on my bank account, and this sum was "reserved" for almost 10 days before the release did inhibit. Shall this really be necessary the year 2011? But this hotel is far from […] alone in that habit unfortunatly. The staff was friendly, helpful and 100 English speaking. The surrondings to the Hotel was not that bad Idid read in this forum before the visit. Some red windows and some gambling clubs, but far from bothering. Quite innocent in my opinion. A very short walk to the main train station so great for coming in from the airport by S Bahn. Just two stops by SBahn to Marienplatz so really central. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable - exactly what you would expect from a Marriott. Only critisism was that we had a room at the front of the hotel and it was very noisy (with the window open) until the early hours of the morning. This hotel is less than 2 blocks from the main train station and within walking distance of the Marienplatz, but it's smack dab in the middle of the red light district which happens to be co-located with the ethnic neighborhood of Munich. We love doner kebabs and such so it didn't bother us at all. We stayed in over 8 Hotels in 3 weeks and this one was by far the best. The king size bed was as good as our bed at home. Breakfast had a very good range of foods that were fresh and well presented. Clean rooms and Bathrooms. 300m From the Main Train station enough places to eat and two supermarkets close by. People on here that whinged about bad […] area are a little miss guided, my Girl friend felt very safe walking around without the rest of us and i had no worries that she wasnt safe. Very convenient to the Hauptbanhof. Very large room (Business Suite). They gave me a complimentary mini-bar (not sure if that's standard). Complimentary breakfast buffet which was actually very good. Great hotel located a 5 minute walk from the main train station. We found all the staff to be be wonderful and nothing was ever a problem. Food at the restaurant was great and the breakfast had a wonderful selection. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again when in Munich.

This hotel offers great service, luxury rooms and a very central location just 5 mins from the central station and a gentle 10 minute stroll to Marienplatz! Staff are welcoming and keen to help. Highly recommended.

We stopped in Munich in transit and visited the Christmas market. The historic center and market were circa 15 minutes walk. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in that direction. The Courtyard Marriot in Munich city center treated us very well. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English.

The hotel is in a very bustling neightborhood, lots of streetife, much immigrant action, some strip clubs and the ebb and flow of the Hauptbahnhof two blocks away. Before leaving Aust had great difficulty getting accom in the heart of Munich for reasonable price; all was quite prohibitive for family budgets. Then it clicked Octoberfest is on. Everything was great here. One small problem is the shower though and the lack of a door. Otherwise, this place is within walking easy distance to everything.

Excellent fron ofiice staff, esp. Benno Food restaurant very good

Hotel is , but a bit expensive, also the restaurant was too expensive for mediocre food. No Bar in hotel. No mini bar in room. Staff okay. I saw good value advertised in other hotels around the area better prices than we paid, for same type hotel. The surrounding neighbourhood is a shock at first with lots of sex shops, small casinos, however it is […] a Turkish area and there are some good Turk cafes which have good food and are cheap. The area didnt appear dangerous just tacky, but is near the main train station. The hotel was great. It was very comforatble and clean. The location was a little less than I expected. The neighborhood south of the main train station was tourist oriented, but the number of casinos did not help the area. The hotel is 2 blocks from the main train station. Had trouble turning on the lights in the room but that is because you have to stick your key card into a slot when you first get into your room. There is a great pizza place across the street from the hotel called Pipasa.

The hotels had all the amenities needed including a large/delicious buffet breakfast. Room and beds were very comfortable and modern. One block from central train station, however the walk through the neighborhood of the hotel was a bit sketchy. A lot of Casinos, Gentlemen's clubs and bars surround the hotel. Stayed in nine different hotels over our two week vacation and this one was definitely the best in many aspects. Great location, near the train station and all the amenities. Had adaptors to loan....wonderful breakfast included...great room wonderfully decorated. Only downfall was lack of Internet access.

Booked 2 rooms with king size beds. The one given to my daughter and her husband was a handicapped accessible room which they did not require. The bathroom had no tub or shower nor counter tops to place toiletries. When we asked for a different room we were told that they were totally booked and could not make any changes. Even though the area in Munich is not the cleanest or beautiful, the location so close to the central train station makes it perfect! Great rooms, perfectly clean, great breakfast, great front desk people, excellent service. parking is terrible...of course it is Germany. So be prepared to have troubles finding a place to park and bring plenty of cash!

It's definitely a good and pleasant hotel . Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pricewise the hotel is quite on the expensive side and were they to offer just continental breakefast for the same price it would be a perfect choice.

Overall, the room and bed was very clean and comfortable. The location was good, being quite walkable to the center of town, as well. The only thing that stuck out in my mind was that our nice bath sheets that we were given on our first day and that we hung up, not to be taken away and washed, were then taken away to be washed and were replaced with […] tiny, thin towels for the rest of our stay. Very nice room which was clean and comfortable. Location was nice with only a short walk to get to downtown. Bar located in the hotel was a nice place to grab a drink after a long day.

We stayed recently at Courtyard Marriott in Munich during Oktoberfest. Overall I am very happy with our choice of staying here. The location is great (the neighborhood is not the best, but it is anyway in a big city downtown. It is near casino and audlt shops; that did not bother us since we read up online about that prior to booking this hotel) 10 […] minutes walk to Oktoberfest, 15 minutes to Marian Platz and 5 minutes from the main train station. Additionally there are two markets less than 2 stores away for us to stock up on water, drinks and snacks. Room is clean and very quiet (we stayed right next to the elevator, but we cannot hear any noises at all) The bathroom and shower are nice. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. One of them helped us print out the train schedule to Neschwanstein and they let us have late check out (for an hour) without additional charges. Läs mer

I thought the hotel was very nice and the rooms were spacious and clean with a really nice bathroom and comfy bed. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again. Clean, quiet, great service, staff all spoke English, security outside. Rooms comfortable, breakfast expensive but decent. Great location for Oktoberfest, and we were able to walk to all other area attractions. Surrounding area seedy. Paid internet in the rooms, but I believe it was free downstairs. Overall great hotel!

We were very happy with the hotel except for one major point. The bed we slept on was as hard as a drum. Both my wife and I tossed and turned both nights trying to find a comfortable position. Apart from this the hotel was a good value.

NOthing to say bad about this place. The neighborhood is so-so but that's expected in such a diverse city like Munich. Never had any issue though and plenty of secure parking within the hotel or across the street in secure city parking garages. If you get the breakfast included it's well worth it! Large spread of food catering both to the American types […] as well as the EU as well. Never had an issue of 'running' out of food. Rooms were plush and clean. A very nice hotel with a great staff and a short walk to the the rail station, metro and attractions. We had three rooms and we all agreed the only drawback was the mattresses were hard as a rock which made getting a good nights sleep difficult.

the hotel is located in heart of Munich, just few minutes walk from the central station. will definiately book it again next time.
