Hotell Coral Gardens on Grace Bay - Providenciales

Condo was good. Location was very good with reef just steps away - even though most of it was roped off. We started with a first floor unit - no view but bushes. They nicely moved us to a third floor unit with a great ocean view - but no elevator! 40 steps dragging luggage - or groceries- is not fun.

We spent eight days in March at the Coral Gardens and totally enjoyed it. The office staff (Matthew, Rochelle, and Raul) were exceptionally friendly and helpful, gave us restaurant recommendations, and generally made us feel completely welcome and at home. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a limited view of the ocean, but it fit our needs perfectly. […] The room had a well-equipped kitchen, which we used to prepare our own breakfasts and lunches, to help offset restaurant costs which tended to be pricey. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms spacious and well organized, and all the furnishings were in very good condition. Each room is equipped with high-speed wireless internet, which was helpful, and guests are issued a local cell phone for on-island use (there is also an ability to buy minutes for cost-effective international calling). Room service was reliable and thorough. In terms of location, Coral Gardens has the best beach location on the island, at least if you are interested in snorkeling. There's just one beach-accessible high-quality snorkeling area on the island, and it's right in front of the Coral Gardens. There's a dive shop/watersports shop on the premises (so you can rent snorkel gear), along with the "Somewhere" restaurant. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to go back! Coral Gardens is just a great place. Sure there are bigger and fancier hotels on Grace Bay but the staff, the location, the size, the comfortable rooms and the views are perfect and let's not forget Somewhere. We all should be Somewhere!.

i was there working in Turks and required a desk at the Hotel as per the write up provided by expedia. It was not delivered when i first arrived. The staff however bent over backwards to assist. This was our third time at Coral Gardens. It is a great value hotel with superb location on the island. Literally, you are steps away from some of the best snorkeling on Provo. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable. Room is like a condo in that it has a full kitchen and the bedroom is a separate room with attached bath.

Definitely a great trip. Beautiful beach and reef steps away make hotel more like a 4.5 than a 4. The somewhere cafe is convenient and has nice beachside food. Great place to have a drink on the second deck and overlook the ocean or down below they have the games going. Our suite was nicely appointed with a ton of extra space, especially for only two […] people. Matthew in the front office is very helpful and will assist visitors with dinner plans, sightseeing trips, rental cars, etc. You won't find the typical pampering of a resort here, but for the price you probably cant do much better in the Provo area. Even though the weather was terrible my stay at Coral Gardens was pleasant. It's just as described by other reviewers - My "Garden" room was sufficiently large for two, comfortable and it was well decorated. In addition to the usual furnishings it included a fridge and a toaster. There were also a small assortment of dishes and cutlery so breakfast […] in the room was easy. The only downside was that the restaurant on site didn't open until dinner time so with the rainy weather traveling to get breakfast or lunch required a cab ride. The reason I rated the hotel just OK, is because the restaurant and stores on the hotel site were closed for the off season even though there were several guest there. So you either had to rent a car or get a taxi to go somewhere to eat or buy sundry things. We really enjoyed our stay at Coral Gardens. We had a one bedroom ground floor suite which we could access the smaller pool directly from our terrace. The suite was very spacious. easily enough room for a couple. Somewhere cafe which is on site is great for snacks, meals and drinks, particularly at sunset sitting upstairs. The pool areas were quiet, […] the water in the pools was quite warm. I am normally more of a pool person but the beach had more appeal than poolside this time. Rochelle on reception is lovely and was very helpful booking taxis and restaurant reservations for us. Reception does close at 7pm though so after this time you would need to use the mobile phone the hotel provides if you need to contact anyone. You do need to top your mobile up at reception if you need to use it. Having stayed at the hotel next door last year I would say Coral Gardens offers better value for money in terms of the space you get, although I did miss having a 24 hour reception! I would class Coral Gardens as a self catering apartment rather than hotel and would reccomend to families and couples wanting to stay on beautiful Grace Bay on a more budget basis than some of the flashier hotels may offer. I had researched this resort before booking..It was everything that we expected..Our room was on the 3rd floor with an awesome view. There is an abandoned construction site next door but it did not deter from the view (I knew about it before I booked) The pool and beach area was great..The reef was steps in front of you with great snorkeling..Our housekeeper […] did a great job of cleaning our room every day. Coral Gardens is a quaint little place on a beautiful stretch of pristine beach. I chose it because of the reef out front and the boutique feel. Pros: Friendly staff - Rachelle and Matthew are both a great help. They were there to help throughout our stay including keeping fresh beach towels stocked and were even kind enough to print our boarding documents. Small […] - the resort is smaller than many. It feels like home. You don't feel like you're in a commercial building. The beach is eaisly accessed from any room and parking is also easy. Great beach bar - called "Somewhere" is awesome. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Skip, Fran the Man and all are so fun. Visiting there is more like an experience than just getting a drink or food. The food is really goo and drinks too. Sunset deck is nice at dusk. Dive shop - there was a dive shop on location to book fun snorkel am die excursions and the shuttle takes you from there right to take off area. Cons: Slow maid service - only happened every 3rd day. I had to go ask for towels even though I left the sign out that said "please make up room" for two days prior. Few frills - the flat screen tv on the wall mount was nice but there werent many other luxuries. The shower is small as is the room itself over all. We were in a hotel room. Small pool - we knew this going in but it was really small and lack luster. No big deal to us as we spent most of our time on the beach but don't book CG for the pool. Läs mer

I absolutely loved this place. It was very comfortable and beautiful. Matthew, Assistant Manager, met us late since our plane came in very late and he showed us around our room. We had every thing we needed for that evening. The staff was the best we could have had! On the beach they had staff helping with chairs, etc...but they went far beyond anything […] I've seen before. There were several people who needed assistance and these staff members went as far as rolling up their pant legs and helping them get in and out of the water! Location is perfect for snorkeling! Coral Gardens is a beautiful property and is in a perfect location for snorkelers. We were in a two-bedroom oceanfront condo which had a magnificent view over the pool and to the beach. The grounds are kept in beautiful condition. I cannot do this review without overusing the word "beautiful". The beach is white sand well into the water and the current […] (which runs from east to west, parellel to the shore) is gentle. The waves are gentle as well. It is a smaller resort than most in the area, with a peaceful atmosphere. An oblong area in front of Coral Gardens is roped off to keep snorkelers out, to protect the coral which is very shallow and, given the sight of people standing on the rocks and coral to adjust their masks, this is a good thing in my opinion. There is still plenty to see outside of that area and to get to that area, the fish have to swim through the area that is open to snorkelers anyway. On the side of the property west of the offices, where the oceanview (as opposed to the oceanfront) properties are (the rooms beginning with a "4"), the unfinished Toscana stands abandoned very close by, and the pool is just a narrow lap pool where the divers take their lessons, but there is still a view of the water, at least from the upper floors. There is another reef about a 5 minute drive west, just east of Turtle Cove, called Smiths Reef; there is good coral near the shore just east of the easternmost access point reached from Bridge road then right on Coconut Road. I loved Coral Gardens. It is right on Grace Bay, gorgeous ocean view, great service, huge apartment type rooms, just perfect. Loved Rochelle who accommodated our every request. Rooms were clean and great. The ocean view we had was spectacular and it was close to all major restaurants and sites. Loved it!

Came here with wife and 2 kids (7&10) during winter break (mid-Feb.). Location is great for the kids...beach is right there and very good snorkeling for the kids as there is plenty to see and not very intimidating. The restaurant at the hotel was pretty good; overall we found the food on the island to be good (although as everything is pricey). Since […] it was the heavy tourist season, we were not able to rent a care as we didn't have a reservation. Also, some of the best restaurants on the island were booked up a while a in advance, so we missed out on that too. The real bad part about the hotel is that there are no phone lines in the rooms, which was bad for me as i had a couple of days of business work to do and ended up running up my cellphone bill significantly. Also, the wireless was a bit spotty. We did end up paying quite a bit for the room, but it was a full on apartment with 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, and a large balcony. I would stay here again, but might come in the lower season. p.s. the island (or beach) never really felt very busy even though most of the hotels were sold out. Läs mer

If you're looking for five star you'll want to steer clear. Stayed in one of the Grand Suites, would have been the cats pyjamas ten years ago. If the owners sink some cash into this soon before it starts to go, it could become so again. Short on dishes (three cereal bowls), short on cutlery, TV remote didn't work, internet worked but had it's moments […] and those big glass doors in our unit were starting to come apart. Suppose to be non-smoking but that didn't seem to stop anyone. That said, for the price, location and the great staff (pool maintencance/beach guy was great), I would stay here again but if you don't see any upgrades mentioned in the next year or two, (some units appeared to have better furniture than ours) might want to shop around unless the price warrants it. We chose Coral Gardens on Grace Bay for a one week honeymoon. The hotel itself was very quiet with beautiful landscaping. Staff were very friendly. The hotel bar (Somewhere Cafe) was a great place to hang out at night, with many locals present and live music. The beach is pristine and quiet with great snorkeling right in front of the hotel.

The best reason to choose this hotel is the lovely rooms at reasonable rates and a reef for beach snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Be aware that much of this reef is buoyed off for a reef recovery program so there is not much to see. Disappointing for those who come specifically to snorkel and want to get as much of it as they can. The best snorkeling […] trips on the island are the full day excursions to remote, pristine reefs by Caicos Adventures and Big Blue - both very knowlegeable operators - but you don't need to stay at this hotel to use them. Coral Gardens is really condo rentals with limited office hours and services - not a full service hotel. Unfortunately its lovliness has been spoiled by the abandoned hotel construction next door, the view of which was inescapable from our room and many others, the buoyed off reef at the beach, the smell of cat urine in the halls, and a restaurant that has obnoxiously loud music playing well into the night and didn't open on time or early enough to serve breakfast to those headed for activities that started by 9am. While we would return to T&C, we would probably stay elsewhere. Not a bad experience, but not the best. Läs mer
