Beware of the vending machines, there is a hidden fee for opening a room credit account that will make the already expensive snack almost twice as costly. A huge plus for the possibilty of having a free Express […] breakfast (coffee, juice, croissant) as early as 04.30 for earlybird flyers. A minus for the hotel staff stating that it was possible to drive to the hotel from France without paying the Switzerland highway tax, however the checkpoint was between the border and the hotel and I had to sweet-talk my way out of having to pay the toll. pretty good hotel, not really in Basel (suburban/light industrial neighbourhood) but right next to bus stop with fast frequent buses to airport and into town - 5mins to kannenfeldplatz or 15mins and you are at the main rail station. rooms bright and funky, nice and quiet, not too many blinking lights to disturb sleep. breakfast okay. bar/lounge area […] fine. didnt try the casino - if you dont want a casino within arms reach then dont stay here. staff friendly and professional. Pretty good for a 1-2 night stay in Basel, but wouldn't recommend for a month long sojourn - you want to be in town really ! Läs mer

The night we arrived at the airport to drop off our car, we called the hotel & they came & picked us up. We planned to take the shuttle back to the airport early in the morning. We were told the shuttle was full. So we signed up for a taxi. There was a bit of confusion in the very early morning in getting our taxi. There were several other patrons needing […] taxis as well. The weather was a bit warm during our stay, and we were informed that the cooling system was designed to not come on until a certain temperature was reached. All in all Hotel was excellent except for restaurant facilities. My wife has a gluten intolerant condition and was limited to a salad as a meal. I believe a Hotel of this stature should have a real restaurant and not a bistro bar type with limited choices.

The hotel uses an energy saving system that is a challenge during the shoulder season between summer and fall. We could not get the room cool during a warm spell and the windows only have limited openning. Getting to downtown Basel is simple and uses public transportation. The hotel is located within 5 minutes or so of the airport's main terminal. The number 50 Bus stops directly across from the hotel. You might argue that a free shuttle would be better, but the current arrangement is perfectly serviceable. The #50 bus also gets you quickly into town, stopping at the main train station. In other words, staying at the […] hotel, which is right on Basel's edge, doesn't prevent you from easily spending time in the city, visiting its museums, parks, and other attractions, while also having dinner at one or another of its many restaurants. This is an excellent hotel to stay at the night before you fly out of Basel. it's trendy, but comfortable. This hotel is clean, neat, close to airport and has great staff. However I had one bad experience. My flight was at 6 AM next day and I was to leave for airport at 4:30 AM. I was told hotel will not drop off so early and they booked a cab. I requested for a cab that takes credit card (as I did not have cash in swiss francs). Next day morning I learn […] that hotel was dropping off two families at 4:30 AM but did not have space for me; I do not know why they discriminate like this! Then the cab drops us and says he cannot take credit card on Sunday! I could not believe this. The cab driver asked me to get cash from ATM while I was getting delayed for flight; finally I gave him in Euro. This was really ver ybad experience. Hotels must not discriminate...drop a few guys to airport but not others before 6 AM. And they should not order cabbies who cannot take credit card, especially when I asked and double-checked at reception that cab will accept credit card. Läs mer

Stayed here twice on recent trip and stay over Basel, and was very impressed. It is reasonably priced (although the food at the hotel was a little steep), and ideally located just a mile from airport, and probably the same to the city, both of which are easily reached on the number 50 bus which stops outside the hotel and runs on a loop every 5-10 mins. […] This bus was free while staying at the hotel. breakfast was very good, and rooms are modern, spacious, clean and very quiet. Free WiFi everywhere (unusual in Europe). Excellent staff. But they still use those horrible comforters, with no top sheet on the bed (its a 'European-thing'). All-in-all, a decent hotel, especially if you need to depart from the airport early in the morning. JPC

This hotel is close to EuroAirport and they arrange a shattle bus from & to the Airport. Also, it is convenient to go to downtown Basel because we can get a complimentary bus card to go to Basel Railway Station where it is close to all must-see sights. Room is clean and hotel men/women are all friendly and helpful.

Modern hotel with large rooms. Spotlessly clean with good service. Down sides, beds are very firm and the air conditioning is noisy and lacks fresh air making it hard to sleep

Although not in the center of town :) there is a bus stop right outside of the hotel - providing quick and easy access to both the airport and downtown Basel. There is a casino on the same grounds as the hotel - which didn't create excessive noise or congestion in the hotel and it's vicinity. Loved the red and black room decor, and the bed was plenty […] large enough for two people, and comfortable, too. The room was a bit on the warm side, and we found it impossible to cool it down. Found out later that outside of a regulated window of time, no air-conditioning can be allowed. Reception process and personnel were pleasant, and we were offered a glass of water upon arrival. Pros: - The room was big and spacious - The location was very good for us (near the airport) and the hotel was very easy to find - The staff was nice - Good breakfast in the very pleasant hotel restaurant Cons: - The extra bed was very unstable so we had to take the mattress down to the floor
