Hotell Porto Bay Glenzhaus - Buzios

We stayed several nights at this hotel and the experiences were a bit mixed. On one hand you have the good and safe location, the very helpful and friendly staff, he delicious breakfast, the nice pool area and the spacious rooms. On the other hand some rooms have a mould problem and the bathrooms are tiny. In my first room you could smell the mould […] right away. The wooden ceiling in the bathroom was full of dark spots and also the shower had plenty of mould. Quite an unpleasant experience! After I complained at the front desk they moved me to another room which was far better. I think the hotel should do something against this problem as the air humidity is quite high. Especially in the bathroom they should install a propper ventilation. So if you are lucky and get a nice room this hotel is a great choice otherwise the mould could ruin your stay! Läs mer

Entire staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was big, clean, & quiet. Morning breakfast was amazing (mostly assorted breads, cereals, cheeses, cold-cuts, juices). Coffee was better than any other spot in Buzios. 5-10 min walk into town or a quiet beach (Praia Brava). Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone visiting Buzios.

Lovely hotel. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. After some confusion with our airport transfer, almost 3hrs on the road and finally reaching Buzios after 8, Alex was just fabulous at our reception and even assisted with ordering our dinner to be delivered to the hotel as we were too tired to go into town. It was nice to be slighty further away from […] the city centre as I could still hear muffled disco music coming from the centre, so you could only imagine how loud it would be if you lived right in town! Great breakfasts, freezing pool, small room for lots of money and a cranky concierge. Not the woman, Gisele but the guy. Don't remember his name. Everytime we asked for help or a reccomendation he said, "I'll find out later". Porto Bay Glenzhaus is a great little hotel about a 10 minute walk from Buzios town centre. It is situated uphill so would suggest a taxi going back especially at night as the road is quite dark. Taxis fairly cheap. The hotel itself is really lovely, spacious reception and lounge area, gorgeous rooms and the lovely touch of fresh flowers on the bed […] when you arrive. Breakfast is served at the side of the pool and is excellent. The english speaking staff are really helpful. Lots of greenery around the hotel so quite a few mosquitos in a biting mood. What a great hotel! Good service, very nice and helpfull staff. We were very surprised when we received the keys of the Master Suite, because we only booked the Junior Suite! A complete modern appartment with all facilities you wish for. Only the mattress was too hard and not comfortable. Big balcony, large shower and, important, everything very clean. Good […] breakfast at poolside with enough choice. Internet for free, nice swimmingpool and sunbeds. Close to the center, about 5-10 min. walk. Quarto limpo e perfumado, atendimento personalizado e muito eficiente.

Ele nao fica muito perto do centro de Buzios e das praias, mas ele fica em uma bonita com muito verde. Mas isto pode ser muito bom, pois em tempo de temporada, estes lugares podem ser muito barulhentos. Além de voce poder fazer uma boa caminhada, após o seu jantar.
