Hotell L Empire Paris - Paris

Vi bodde på L'Empire 2 nätter med frukost inkluderat. Service från personal är riktigt bra, frukosten var även den riktigt bra och läget i Paris är för oss som ville ta del av olika kvarter exemplarisk. Rummen är kanske lite mörka och det finns ingen direkt utsikt, vi bodde med fönster mot gården. Dock är de fräscha med trägolv och snygg design. Riktigt bra och trevligt hotell. Servicen var utmärkt och personalen var bland de trevligaste vi någonsin träffat. Det var första gången som vi bodde på Hotel L Empire och vi blev mycket positivt överraskade. Hotellpersonal i Paris brukar vanligtvis vara lite svåra att ha och göra med och väldigt motvilliga att prata engelska. Inte på det här hotellet […] dock, man fick alltid ett trevligt bemötande och de pratade utmärkt engelska. Vi hade bokat ett standard-rum men blev uppgraderade till ett deluxe-rum vid ankomst. Deluxe-rummen är väldigt rymliga med massa plats för bagage och shoppingkassar. Gratis trådlöst internet på rummen fungerade helt OK (Vi är nog lite bortskämda i Sverige med snabb internetuppkoppling). Om det är något som man ska klaga på, med rummet, så fanns det inga duschdraperier i badrummet, så det blev lite blött på golvet...Det kändes dock som ett väldigt litet problem. Vi hade betalat för frukost i förväg och ångrade det verkligen inte. Mycket fräsch frukost med massa goda saker att välja mellan (inte bara Croissanter). Läget på hotellet kan inte bli bättre. Det ligger alldeles i närheten av Louvren i ett mycket trevligt och lugnt område, med massa trevliga restauranger och caféer runt hörnet. Vi använde inte Metron en enda gång under vår vistelse utan istället så gick vi alltid dit vi skulle, vilket gick alldeles utmärkt med hotellets centrala läge. Vi använde oss av hotellets transferservice från och till CDG. Det är inte deras egna bilar, utan ett taxibolag som man åker med, men det är rätt skönt att bli uppmött direkt när man kommer ut från bagagehallen på CDG. 55 EUR/ resa kostade det. Vår vistelse på Hotel L Empire var helt fantastisk och nästa gång vi kommer till Paris kommer definitivt tillbaka till det här hotellet. Läs mer

Det var lite slarvigt städat och vissa saker var lösa av inredinigen. När jag skulle öka värmen i duschen lossnade doseringsknappen...

Mycket trevligt hotell med hälpsam personal, vårt rum låg på andra plan mot innergård vilket innebar litet fönster så rummet var mörkt men i övrigt var allt enligt förväntan, mycket bra frukostbuffe´som ingick i priset, vi återvänder hit vid nästa Parisvistelse

Hotellpersonalen är väldigt trevlig, alla som jobbar där försöker göra din vistelse så bra som möjligt...FÖRUTOM Managern och hans assistent. Väldigt uppnosiga, tror att dem kan lura dig och lyssnar inte alls på vad du säger. Vi hade bekymmer med första rummet där duschkranen satt löst, ett handtag till fönstret var trasigt så det var alltid öppet, […] det var väldigt dåligt städat (stora dammråttor under sängen och glas som sades vara precis ditställda var dammiga), osv. Så vi gick ner och pratade med personalen och sa lite försynt att vi hade lite bekymmer med rummet. Dem bad oss vänta till morgonen därpå för att prata med managern. När vi väl får prata med honom är det helt omöjligt att göra något då dem var fullbokade (vi såg på nätet innan vi pratade med honom att dem inte var fullbokade...) och att det inte alls var så som vi sa. Tillslut fixade han ett nytt rum till oss precis bredvid. Det kändes dock mindre och så var det en fuktskada i trägolvet så parketten hade dels vittrat sönder lite och buktade upp från golvet. Managern säger att det rummet inte alls är mindre utan större än det tidigare. Till min envishet så mäter jag rummet och räknar ut att det är 19 kvm, medan superior rummen ska vara ca 25 kvm. Han hade alltså försökt "lura dem dumma svenskarna" till ett classic rum istället för det vi faktiskt betalat för. Jag går ner och pratar med honom och han insisterar på att rummet är ett superior rum och säger att han ska visa mig ett classic rum. Vi kommer upp till ett rum där någon bor, väskor är uppackade och han klampar in respektlöst och säger "Så här litet är ett classic rum, är ditt rum såhär litet??". Varpå jag svarar att det faktiskt är ungefär samma storlek. Han ger sig inte utan tjafsar på. Tillslut börjar jag bli förbannad och säger åt han att han får fixa ett större rum till oss. Ett underbart hotell på bästa läge i Paris. Kanonbra service (personalen pratar gärna engelska). Mycket fräscha rum. God frukost (mycket mer än bara de tråkiga croissanterna man är van vid i Frankrike). Jag rekommenderar detta hotell till alla som vill bo bra i Paris. Jag kommer att komma tillbaka.

Hotellet ligger i trevligt område med bra shopping, kultur och restauranger inom räckhåll. Personalen var trevlig och frukosten bra. Rummen var fräscha och sängen skön. Skulle definitivt bo här igen!

I went with my newly married wife for out wedding holiday to Paris and stayed at hotel L Empire Paris. In a previous mail conversation they had promised to put flowers in our room to my expens. No flowers were delivered and they sad we could get it in two days. Very disappointing to say the least.

Fantastiskt bra hotell i ett härligt centralt område i Paris. Vi bodde i ett de Luxe rum som absolut motsvarade alla förväntningar och mer därtill. I kvarteren runt omkring finns utmärkta små restauranger för middag. Och mitt emot hotellet finns en vin- och ostbar - fantastisk. Rekommenderas starkt

Hotel L´Empire i Paris är med sitt centrala läge intill hallarna ett utmärkt utgångsläge för promenader i Paris och med bra kommunikationer till flyg och tåg. Stora och bra rum ,mycket bra service . Kostar lite x-tra ,men med sitt centrala läge sparar man in på mycket resande.Fin frukostbuffé och bra bar. Ett hotell som ligger så centralt man kan önska. Nära till allting. Trevlig personal och bra service. Vi hade bokat ett dubbelrum men blev uppgraderade till en svit!

Trasig luftkonditionering, ingen hjälp av tekniker. Två nätter (hela helgen förstörd) i olidlig kvav värme. Hotellet ligger nästan helt perfekt; några meter in på Rue de L'arbre sec som är en kort tvärgata mellan den stora Rue Rivoli som går längs Louvren och shoppinggatan Rue St Honoré. Tyvärr visade det sig redan första natten att luftkonditioneringen […] i vårt rum var trasig och personalen sa att de inte kunde hjälpa till. De kunde inte få tag på management, tekniker eller ens en portabel fläkt. Det var omkring 30 grader i rummet men sköna 20 i receptionen så jag sov på golvet vid dörren med dörren på glänt (ljust, men lite svalare) Dag två klagade vi mer högljutt och blev lovade rumsbyte när vi kom tillbaka på eftermiddagen. Vi packade väskorna och gick ut i Paris... När vi kom tillbaka hade inget hänt och personalen påstod att det inte fanns några lediga rum, ingen fläkt, inga tekniker och ingen management att få tag på, men vi kunde få varsitt glas champagne om vi ville (!). De tyckte alltså att vi skulle vi få sova på golvet i 30 graders värme och trösta oss med varsitt glas bubbel! Jag frågade vad de tyckte vi skulle göra. Jag sa att jag tänkte sova på golvet utanför rummet eller i receptionsloungen och då blev det fart på personalen. Efter några timmar hade de t.o.m. hittat en portabel fläkt som faktiskt gjorde det lite lättare att sova den andra natten (eller så var det av utmattning eftersom vi hade sömnbrist från första natten samt att vi var ute på disco till tre på natten) Läget är perfekt, hotellet är ett snyggt designhotell med trägolv och bra och snygg bar/frukostlokal. Inredningen börjar bli några år gammal men är fortfarande stilig, fräsch och modern även om man ser att de röda läderdetaljerna börjar blekna lite och fått patina. Tyvärr gjorde fläktproblemet vistelsen outhärdlig och viljan att fixa problemet var minimal. Designhotell med design som börjar bli kännas omodern och sliten i kanterna. Dags att renovera? Läget är dock bra, mitt i smeten. Servicen är OK, trevligt i stort men lite oerfaren. Rummen är stora, men i efterhand är vi tvaksamma om vi verkligen fick den standard vi hade på bokningen. Inte så bra valuta för pengarna i stort. OK frukost, men undvik […] att beställa till rummet. De lägger på extraavgifter som de inte informerar om innan. Och det är väl det som gör att man lämnar hotellet och känner sig rånad på 20 Euro. Och det unnar inte vi inte någon annan. Då vi skulle fira vår bröllopsdag hamnade vi på detta lilla snygga hotell några meter från Louvren. Snygg design överallt. Fräscht hotellrum. Och framför allt en riktigt bra frukostbuffé. Tilläggas är att vi är kräsna på denna punkt och blev inte besvikna. Jag och min man reste på bröllopsresa till Paris. Min vana trogen, letar jag hotell genom "Tripadvisor".....det stämmer alltid. När jagsedan skulle boka, såg jag att L´Empire Paris hade fått lika fina rescensioner här. Ett fantastiskt litet hotell, mitt i smeten.....men ändå avsides. Nära till allt. Rent och snyggt.....jättetrevlig och hjälpsam […] personal. God frukost. Klart prisvärt! Litet minus för tråkig, draperilös dusch.....och oisolerade fönster. Arbete på huset brevid startade mycket tidigt på morgonen.... Vi skulle dock utan tvekan boka samma hotell om/när vi reser tillbaka. Läs mer

The hotel was in the a great location, very close to the Louvre and yet since it is on a side street it was very quiet - perfect! The staff was extremely helpful in finding restaurants to eat and how to use the RER or metro to get to tourist attractions. Their breadkfast offerred a perfect selection of food to start the day

Great staff - very personable and helpful. room tiny and first night bad smell of smoke - told them and not a problem next night. Absolutely ideal location near louvre, nore Dame etc etc decor and attitude more yound and funky than luxurious nut would stay again.

Within easy walking distance of the Llouvre and Notre Dame. Also an easy distance away from the Eiffel tower, Arc de Triumph, Grand Palais, Petit Palais and numerous other museums. I should specify that it's an easy distance if you enjoy walking. I made a day of walking to the Eiffel Tower from my hotel, stopping at every monument and museum along the […] way and it was very enjoyable. Also many delicious restaurants, cafes and bistros in the immediate area. In addition, the staff was fantastic. More than willing to help me with anything I needed, restaurant recommendations and reservations, event tickets, great night clubs, even booking massages. We stayed in Paris for two nights at the L'Empire Paris after having spent three nights at Disneyland Paris (at the Disneyland Hotel there). This was a family trip doing both "The Mouse" stuff and some sightseeing. Most of the reviews were positive for this hotel prior to my booking it, but they didn't do it justice. We were in room 303 - "Rembrandt" […] - I think. It overlooked rue de L'Arbre Sec. Location - The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, a 5 minute walk to The Louvre Museum, 20 minute walk to the Seine River boats/tours. There are huge department stores 2 minutes away. There are wonderful, cute little boulangerie/patisseries ALL around the hotel (3 minutes in any direction), and there are several little restaurants / wine bars on rue de L'Arbre Sec. You want to get on the Metro, you say? 3 minutes one way towards the Louvre for one station or 4 minutes the other way for Les Halles (a major RER + Metro/subway station). The hotel is tucked back 30 yards or so on rue de L'Arbre Sec, so it's not easy to spot from Rue de Rivouli (sp?). Once you find it, though, you're hooked. Rooms - We had a "family room" with a jacuzzi spa. It had a king bed (very comfortable) and a pull-out double for our two children in another room. Each room had it's own TV. Very modern, and very, very spacious by French/European standards. The bathroom was also very large and spacious by European standards. Then entire "apartment" was decorated in a very modern style which we all liked. Huge, spacious closets as well. Staff - The staff all spoke very passable English. My French is far worse than their English. They all were extremely accommodating - from asking for an extra luggage rack / holder in the bedroom, to asking to take some coffee and tea back to the room after our breakfast the staff was warm and welcoming. small boutique hotel, ok, problem, they sell you an upgrade because your room is not ready!!! Lookout! we made a mistake, otherwise it would have been ok, but, we got....caught! Beware friends!! PC

My partner and I stays in room 413 for a 4 day break in February 2012. Our room rate included breakfast. This hotel is in a great location if you are wanting to see the sights of Paris. You can walk to many places and the nearest Metro line is about 100m away. We walked to the Eiffel Tower and it took about 50 minutes along the riverside. Breakfast was served with a smile and a laugh and the evening bar staff went the extra mile to ensure we're enjoying our drinks with ample free snacks and the occasional extra shot for the cocktails. Unfortunalely the room was not quite up to the standard expected from a 4 star hotel. At first glance, it looked exactly like the photos on the website with tasteful decor, sloped roof with sky lights and spacious bathroom. The bed was very large and comfy. However, after unpacking and exploring the room in more detail, it was obvious that the finish was not to a good standard with grout missing in floor tiles, holes in wall filled badly around the desk area and the sink above the mini bar leaked and flooded the nearby flooring. The other issue in the room was the heating. Probably due to the time of year, we really stuggled to get the room to the right temperature and the thermostat was pretty useless. During the day it was too cold and despite putting the temperature up to 32c, we had to get a noisy plug in heater to provide extra heat. At night it got a little too warm but there were vents on the windows to assist with this. I'm not sure if this was linked but the shower went constantly from hot to cold in the mornings so it's possible the hotel was having a general issue with heating. The staff were very helpful and did their best to resolve the heat issue in the room. We had a good stay in this hotel. The hotel was chosen because of the location to the nearby attractions that we wanted to see. It was very easy to find even though its down a side street but that made it better. The area is very good with easy access to everything you wanted for a weekend trip to Paris. The hotel was very good with it looking as if its been newly refurbed, and if modern […] minimalist is your thing then this is done very well. Staff were very helpful and polite. The location of the hotel was perfect, walking distacne to almost all the must see sites. Staff very friendly and always willing to go an extra step to help you. The room was very confortable, renovated and super clean.

The street is quite. right in the middle of PAris. Near the subway. easy acces.

Great location, so close to the Metro and a great neighborhood, many restaurants, cafes and shops. They provided excellent customer service and accommodated our last minute request to have our two rooms next to each other which we had not previously asked for. Our rooms were on the bottom floor (sub-floor) and only had a view of a tiny outdoor area, […] but we were happy to be next to each other. Rooms were very nice and spotless. Loved the bathroom, also. Great boutique look and feel throughout hotel. Staff went out of their way to assist my friend who unfortunately had lost luggage. A lot of phone calls with the airline...! The location is excellent walking distance Louvre 2mins, Place de la Concorde 15mins, Notre Dam 10 mins, Paradis Latin 15mins. Great choice of shops and restaurants near by with RER link 2mins away & Metro across the road. Hotel food & accomodation very good-only one fault was the very smelly corridors leading to the rooms -same all floors, otherwise […] very clean- big rooms and very helpful staff who speak excellent English. Very nice boutique hotel - unusually spacious room (for Europe).

Awesome location and amazing staff. Stayed in a superior room which was definitely roomy by euro standards. Great service---bed always turned, room cleaned daily, etc. Staff was helpful for finding directions, recommendations, etc. Greetings every time they saw you and really put customer service first it appeared. Best part is the location is mad […] close to all the sights---and a bus is only a block away at Pont Neuf to get to the Left Bank (Eiffel Tower, etc). L Empire Paris was a fabulous boutique hotel around the corner from the Louvre. My room was huge, it was a great change from all the hotels I had stayed in the last 4 weeks! The staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. I would love to return to Paris soon and I would definitely be staying here again!

The hotel has a great location only around 2 minutes walk to the metro station. The rooms are ok and clean. The hotel is small but in Paris sight seeing is more important. Great local shops down the road to buy drinks etc.

The staff were very nice and location was very good. However the facilities themselves are not so great. Our room had water seeping under the floor and when you stepped the water came up through the floor boards. They did change us to another room and had plumbers/ repairmen come in immediately to start repairs. We enjoyed our stay at the Empire. We had an excellent, quiet room, which was very spacious with good linens. This hotel is in an excellent location for touring important sights in the city. Service was very good. Staff made a big effort to answer questions and set up tours for us if we asked.

Great hotel and good location (about a 5-10 minute walk from the main entrance of the Louvre) and the staff were very lovely. The rooms were one of the biggest I’ve stayed in central Paris and this is a massive selling point for a hotel in Paris. On the downside it looked a bit tired around some of the edges once you started to look closer; chipped […] bath, shelf practically falling off, lime scale around the edge of the bath, the pain fading on the desk, but we're talking minor things that made no impact to my stay. The feel of the hotel is very early 2000’s; lots of monochrome, arty style pictures etc. Doesn’t feel very Parisian considering it is such a beautiful building, but it means its well equipped with everything you need, including docking stations in the TV, power showers etc. You couldn't fault the staff at all; we could check in early, the bar man made us specially designed cocktails, the maid checked to make sure we had everything we needed, the breakfast waitress was very attentive etc. The surrounding area is a bit mixed. The immediate streets are lovely, and you can find some great places. We did walk to the Marais most nights, which is about a 15-20 minute walk. Overall great hotel, staff and location but could do with a little TLC. Very worth a stay, and I have paid more but got less in Paris before. Läs mer

I have stayed here on three consecutive visits to Paris. For location, great value (outside of the European summer), beautiful modern rooms and very comfortable beds, it is my preferred choice. Quiet location in the middle of everything.

Great and helpful staff. Rooms clean but tired art deco style. Location is great by Louvre and Pont Neuf. Lots of local resturants close.

The staff was all five star by USA standards. The hotel itself does not deserve more than three stars by American standards, as there are no gym facilities, and the air conditioning is not very strong. Overall, for a small boutique hotel id was more than fine with an excellent location.

We stayed at the superior room for our honey moon. And it was a very unpleasant surprise when we realised that there was no city view from our room. All we could see from the windows were small yard and white walls and windows of another house, so that people could watch what was happening in our room. We were very upset and preferred to keep the draperies […] closed. This is absolutely unacceptable situation for superior room and 4 stars hotel. The staff lost our luggage and delayed check-in for 1,5 hours. Location of the hotel is good - close to Louvre. There are a lot of nice restaurants nearby the hotel. The hotel is generally normal. I usually stay at 5 star hotels, but the Paris Airshow was occurring so everything was sold out or $1500. Since we needed 3 rooms, this wasn't going to work. What I usually rave about with 5 star hotels is the service, L'Empire blew them out of the water. The small boutique atmosphere coupled with young, vivacious staff proved dynamo.
