My entire floor smelled damp, like mildew. The staff were nice enough, but they weren't knowledgeable about the area or the workings of their own hotel. I requested late check-in and the guy I was talking to on the phone said "hold please" then he got back on and explained he was new and didn't know whether he could do that for me or not and he was […] checking. I was worried about my safety at this hotel. Upon my late night arrival, a drunk guest standing outside drinking opened the passenger door where my son was sitting. Service ,rates, and location all great. The room was located next to exit and stairway on the first floor. The noise from stairs and above guest was more than desired. The location of the room may be part of the discounted rate. Will ask for different location next stay.

Melissa, the front desk clerk, was VERY helpful and VERY friendly. I have stayed here 4 other times, and she was the most helpful and friendly. Really went out of her way. This hotel is in a good location, close to shopping and restaurants.

Would have been happier if the hotel fire/smoke alarm did not wake us up at 11:30 pm on one of our nights. we were told there was no fire but they could not stop the alarm until the fire department came to shut it off. we drove around town for an hour waiting for the ok to go back to our room. The next morning when we asked the front desk what happened, […] we were matter of factly told someone pulled the alarm as tho it happens all the time. Very courteous front desk staff upon check-in. Even got upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was quite nice after a long day of work and the drive in. The hotel is located close to a major road, but it's far enough back from the road that you won't be bothered by traffic noise. Ample free parking as well. The complimentary bottle of water at check-in was […] also a nice touch. My room was great! Enough room to spread out and get work done either in the living area or the sleeping area while utilizing the free wifi. Plenty of outlets in the room as well for all of my electronic gadgets and gizmos. The bathroom was spacious and clean with Bath & Body Works toiletries. Very impressed with the service at the Hilton Garden Inn. I travel a lot for business and the staff at HGI surpassed most of the high end NYC hotels I frequent. Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel carpet is outdated. The king bed had standard pillows. These looked so small they looked like squares. The staff seemed nice. They didn't keep cookies out which I have been to a lot of Hilton Garden Inn. My hubby noticed they did not have digital cable. The bathroom had no fan so the air is stagnant. The hotel foyer was very elegant. Room was small as was bathroom. Bed was hard. Light blocking drapes did not close all the way in fact it was designed with 2'gap so light from parking lot lit our room all night! Refrigerator made a high pitched noise all night. This hotel is perfectly adequate. It was relatively clean, relatively comfortably, relatively professional, and relatively convenient to the beach. The room was nice but a little tired and a little unkept (there appeared to be food/soda on the bathroom door that had not been noticed and thus cleaned by the staff). The beds were fine but not new. The […] room had air conditioning, though it was an old system and the room tended to get hot unless you kept the air turned down low. There were two elevators, but one was broken part of the time and the other was also used by the cleaning staff, so it was frequently occupied. The front desk representatives were nice and helpful but not entirely professional. There seemed to be only one person working the front desk at any time. One front desk attendant complained to a customer about another member of the staff. The hotel seemed very family friendly; there were lots of parents with young kids. The hotel is within driving distance of the beach. Do not expect to walk to the beach from the hotel. It was, however, near a shopping center. Läs mer

Our stay was perfect. The service was superior - especially in the breakfast area. The room was cool and quiet which was just right for the hot days. Loved being close to the stores, movies, and the beach. We've stayed there many times and it is always delightful.

I usually stay at Hampton but thought I would go a little "better" this trip. I wasnot impressed with the lack of towels and when I requested more towels and shampoo I never received them. Also, I didn't like the fact that you had to pay for breakfast....next trip, back to Hampton.

Great hotel, about 10 easy drive to Downtown Wilmington. Within walking distance of Mayfaire Town Centre where there is a cinema, shops and restaurants. Staff efficient and very friendly.

My husband and I booked this room the night(because my in laws were having a day trip to the beach and we decided to stay overnight)before and was overjoyed that not only did we have late check in to the fact that this hotel was in a fantastic area especially close to the shops and beach. Although the breakfast was 9.95 per person, my husband was able […] to pay for one so we can share in our room...that was fabulous and great service! We had our vehicle vandalized in the parking lot on the last night of our stay. We found out they have no security cameras on site so doubt they will catch the culprit. Needless to say we are concerned about safety and security. Also, concerned with lack of empathy from management & staff.
