Jag valde hotellet då det ligger nära färjan till BVI, och det var verkligen nära - bara tvärs över gatan. Hotellet var rent och snyggt, och jag fann inget att klaga på. Möjligen kunde frukostmatsalen vara lite roligare.

Fantastisk personal. De hjälpte mej att få tag på min resväska som flygbolaget slarvat bort. Kommer ja tillbaka till st Thomas skulle ja inte tveka om att boka ett rum. Personalen va fantasiska samt rummet va helt klart godkänd. Priset va bra samt lätt att hitta till.

Lyxigt med egen pool utan insyn. Kort promenad till fin, kritvit strand. Lugnt hotell med underbar terass där man kan äta en god middag och njuta av utsikten.

"Inches from the beach"
We had a great stay at FR. This is not a "5 star" type of location. The services are scarce and the staff is very casual. However, the location if magical and the beach is amazing. "Quiet heritage hotel located outside of town"
Because they thought we were on our honeymoon they upgraded us to Penthouse #1, the corner room with a view to the water :) Great room, comfortable, nice breeze. "Disappointing"

"Great vacation"
Very nice suite overlooking the ocean with excelent view of St. John's Island. We visited the island during the off season. Resort staff were all very polite and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Very comfortable, quiet and great food. The view is beautiful. The staff was great. Douglas greeted me by name as soon as I walked in the door and was a great host our whole stay. Anything we needed, he was there. "Extremely clean welcoming boutique hotel."
If you are expecting a Beaches resort- don't come here. If you are looking for a beautiful, clean boutique hotel then this is for you. Doug, Pamelah and the nice owner (who's name I can't come up with) were very helpful, welcoming and nice. They almost seem like a family! Our 1 bedroom villa was absolutely spotless and cleaned and maintained every day. […] If you have a large group they also have an unbelieveably gorgeous 4 to 9 bedroom villa that is available. It is sooo nice!! Fort Recovery is also in a great location right between Road Town and Soper's Hole Marina. It made it easy for us to enjoy what each hotspot had to offer. "Good deal on a nice place built around a landmark"
John and I really enjoyed our week-long vacation at Fort Recovery Villas on Tortola. Staying there felt more like visiting someone's private compound than being checked into a generic resort hotel. The view from our porch was of the private beach, the Caribbean and St. John's Island. The current is usually gentle there and you can warm up with some […] low-key snorkelling right off the little hotel beach. John saw a large sting ray there! they check out snorkelling gear for $4 a day. Not everythng in the complex is brand new, but it's all comfortable, attractive and immaculate. They maintain two 4-wheel drive vehicles that can be reserved on a daily basis by guests and they also have their own small excursion boat. Fort Recovery is only a couple of miles from Soper's Hole marina from which sailing day trips depart. Admittedly, the Villa dogs barked late at night a couple of times, but they are scheduled for a long-term trip to the states in the near future. The free continental breakfast was minimal, but a full breakfast is available and there's a well-stocked small grocery store nearby. Our little galley kitchen was thoughtfully equipped, and we didn't have to sign up for dinner until 6 pm each evening; we welcomed the flexibility for meals. If somethng you need or want is not already in your room, you can probably check it out from the front desk. The staff gives helpful advice about sightseeing and restaurants. Stayed overbite at Ft. Recovery..lovely staff/ lovely room with great views/ very clean and orderly..only problem is quite a distance from airport and ferry but there are not many other choices on Tortola.definately a great place to stay if you have a car and want to stay awhile.Verifierad gästrecension från Expedia

"bad service"
location is terrible. we arrived at the hotel on a Thursday around lunch time only to find out that the chef had the day off. The closest place to eat was a five minute cab ride away that cost $20 round trip. The guy at the front office" Matt" I believe is his name was less than helpful and at times just plain rude. Nobody was around at time of check […] out to pay our bill and Matt didn't answer his phone when we called him. I would not stay here again! Svar via Fort Recovery Beachfront Villa & Suites Hotel The location of Fort Recovery Hotel is on the South side of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, on the Caribbean Sea with a small sandy beach. It is noted as one of the most idyllic locations on the island. Most places that are at sea level are advantageous, especially on the south shore, because of the convenience to the West End Ferry dock, Road Town Business Center, shops, bars, marinas, and restaurants. It is clearly indicated on our website, check in orientation flier, and large signs posted in the office and restaurant that we do not serve lunch and that we are closed for dinners on Thursday nights. Our staff is always eager to help and guide the guests. We also have signs posted, that if you have a very early check out, to please come to the office the day before to make arrangements to avoid any misunderstanding of paying ones bill.

Our villa was lovely; the staff was very attentive. My husband had injured his foot prior to our arrival and the staff ensured that our luggage was placed in the room and also offered him a cane which was well received.
