Spartanskt inrett. Dålig belysning. Inget lås på toalettdörren. Restaurangen låg i huset mittemot och var en utomhusterass. Kändes kallt fast de hade gasolbrännare och plastskynken för öppningen på framsidan. Inte så mysigt. Det som var bra var att det låg nära flygplatsen. Bra pris.

Ett trevligt hotell med goda ambitioner angående styling och modernitet. Enda nackdelen var att utrymmet för frukost var något litet samt att det inte alltid fanns alla tillbehör uppdukade (saknades ofta tallrikar eller muggar osv.). Hade fem bra nätter här med familjen. Bra läge för utflykter i LA med opmnejd.

Helt OK Hotell till den prislappen. Läget med Lincoln Blvd = 10-15 min med bil (naturligtvis nödvändigt) till Santa Monica & 5 min till flygplatsen & hyrbilsinlämning är toppen. Snyggt, prydligt, hyfsad pool & lite små men moderna rum. Riktigt kylskåp är också plusn mot fjolliga och dyra minibarer :-)

Bra hotell vid LAX. Hade bokat ett rum för 4 men fick en av deras bästa svitar. (pokerrum + vardagsrum + 2 sovrum + 2 badrum) utan kostnad. Bra hotell!

Vi bodde på hotellet i början o slutet av vår USA resa, totalt 6 nätter. Bra läge för att se Santa Monica, Hollywood,Beverly Hills-ligger på "rätt sida" för dessa utflykter. Utmärkt shuttleservice till flygplatsen och ypperlig service för vår hyrbil och parkering(extra kostnad). Fräscha rum, kanske lite små (inga sittmöbler). Several of the outlets in the room did not work and I did not have hot water on a regular basis.

It was acceptable. Weird that there was no room service. Nice that they offered me a blanket in the Deck 33 since it was outside. The AM breakfast was odd that I only wanted some OJ and he charged me 5.00, I am a Joy member, so should been free.

This hotel met my needs but nothing else about it stood out. Rooms are sparsely decorated and poorly lit. The beds are like futons, very close to the ground. This is ok if you expect it, but I didn't. As an over 50, this is not my preference. The shower water spewed everywhere because it was leaking. Very conveniently located and excellent shuttle service.

The bed was on the floor and very uncomfortable, had to pay for parking although they charged it to my credit card, after I checked out. I had no idea that as A guest at the hotel I had to pay for parking.

The problem with "boutique" hotels, which we normally love to stay at, is often it's hit-or-miss. This hotel looked really cool, but once you get there, it doesn't make sense. Parking is ridiculously expensive- USD20 per night, there is no one to help you up to your room with luggage, a disorganized front lobby. Additionally, they had a non-functional […] weighing scale in the lobby which again, looked cool but didn't work. Front desk person told us- oh, well, if your luggage is overweight, you can just re-distribute at the airport. Who wants to do that? The room was nicely sized, and the bathroom was lovely, but they put in kitschy stuff like fancy decorative LED lights but skimped on the carpeting- it was rough and uncomfortable on our feet. The room was very nice but small & the furniture very low to the ground. If you are older, or less flexible, you will have difficulty getting up from the bed or the chairs, as my spouse did. The pool was nice and smaller than expected. The only parking is valet parking (expensive) or street parking, which was reelatively safe; I didn't have a problem […] with it. The staff was friendly & very helpful. We got pizza & they delivered china to us to use, as it was our last night & we didn't want to buy paper plates. While the hotel seemed to be clean and safe the room was very small with two low double beds. The decoration was nice and the flat panel TV was a bonus. Good place to lay your head but pretty basic.

Close to LAX, shuttle service to and from lax. nice pool and poolside bar. Smaller bed then expected, to low to floor. Other than that, nice stay

I'm not usually one to write reviews... But I did want to take the time after our stay at custom hotel! First of all the staff was top notch and extremely friendly and helpful. The location and surrounding stores were great and very convenient and street parking was fairly easy. Although... I was not happy that the hotel description did not indicate […] that it was either street parking or $20 per night to park there. Anyway, now for the Negatives! No complimentary breakfast at all. (-)The lobby wreaked of perfume that some may be sensitive to (-)(just passing through gave me a headache) ...perfume does not equate clean!! The rooms were incredibly small concrete and uncomfortable. (-)There was no desks or chairs(-) the beds were on a queen wooden platform with a full sized mattress which made it very dangerous for kids and and i walked away bruised because the beds stuck out! (-) the 'fridge' wasn't even big enough to fit standard to go restaurant boxes in them. And the plumbing was the worst of the negatives. It was very old and the nozzles in my room got stuck which in the shower made it hard to moderate the temperature and in the sink turning it on I pinched my finger attempting to move the nozzle.(. Bc it stuck... So you push it hard) the shower head was very old too! I just think a hotel with high ratings should have better more comfortable and functioning basic features... No matter how nice the make the lobby look! I hope they make necessary changes to live up to their ratings and I would consider staying there again. Läs mer

If you have allergies or are sensitive to chemical smells, this is not the hotel for you. The ambiance was nice, but they spray a overpowering lavender fragrance/perfume throughout the lobby and outside the rooms (which wafted into the room). The rooms have no chairs or work areas.

This is one of the best places to stay in the greater LA area. Great room, some may not dig fouton style beds but very comfy. Great eats nearby, kids loved the bowling alley next door.

Custom Hotel is, like most JDV properties, a great boutique hotel. It was clean with superior design. The drawback was that we had to wait 1 hr 15 min (painfully long after an international flight) for our room to be ready. Also, I got no JDV credit for the stay because I booked online rather than directly with the hotel. We originally chose the Custom Hotel because it was close to Marina del Ray and had a great price. When we got there I was extremely impressed with the service - every employee greeted with you with a smile. The most impressive piece was the unexpected gift they gave my mom after I told Xandra at the front dest that we were there to celebrate my mom's […] birthday by going to see "I Love Lucy Live" in Hollywood. Xandra left an "I Love Lucy" themed gift pack in our room and a lovely card. It was a complete surprise and very appreciated !! Thank you Xandra ! My son and I stayed at the Custom Hotel on the last night of our LA vacation because we had an early (8am) flight out of LAX and did not want to bother our friends by making them get up early to drive us to the airport.. We could not have been happier. The staff was EXCELLENT - making sure we had everything we needed and giving us information regarding […] the local bus service to Santa Monica for shopping and the free shuttle service that would take us to the airport the following morning. We caught the bus (#3) directly across the street from the hotel, enjoyed an afternoon of shopping and playing on the Santa Monica pier, then took the bus back to the hotel. (The Rapid #3 is much faster, but either works.) We had dinner in the hotel restaurant that evening and everything was delicious. Again, the staff in the restaurant were extremely friendly and made our stay more enjoyable than we anticipated. Loved our stay. Very friendly helpful staff. Close to airport but with all conveniences within walking distance. Free airport shuttle provided by extremely helpful and friendly drivers

Airport shuttle was prompt. Room was decent for the price. Internet worked. Supermarket , 24-hr subway sandwich shop n bowing alley within 2 block walk. Perfect for lay overs.

It was definitely convinent to the places we wanted to visit. The staff was friendly and informative about what their hotel offers. They have their own restaurant and happy hour.

I would love to stay here again and reccommend to anyone who is a dog owner. They are super pet friendly and don't charge an extra fee which you can't find anywhere else in town! (they even handed out a doggie care package at check in!)

We stayed one night at this hotel. It was close to the airport and a great jaoanese restaurant. The service was OK but you had to pay extra for everything which we didn't like. The rooms were not what we expected for the cost and rating. Very low ikea style beds, no carpet but that industiral turf (maybe because pets welcome?), air conditioning didn't […] work and screeched all night and we were all boiling the next morning. Staff and service were pretty good and the outside pool area was actually lovely so we hung out there for the night - very cozy and nice decor out there. It's very convenient location from LAX. but very quiet location. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. There is RALPH next to the Hotel., very convenient !!

Had such a great time, they were very pet friendly and there was no pet deposit. The restaurant bar was awesome great happy hour specials and really good food. Will stay again

I really liked the service and the cleanliness of the hotel. It looked very post modern although it was an old structure. Revamped and stylish.
