Chisun hotel is centrally located and walking distance to a lot of sights in Ueno and Asakusa area. It is also located in a quiet neighborhood conveniently accessible to the subway station Inarisho stop, five minutes walk to Ueno station and the Keisei skyline which can whisk you to Narita in 40 mins (Y2400) . Small restaurants abound in the area and […] one can get budget meals. Its a pleasant walk to the Kappabashi kitchen ware street, the Asakusa shrines, the Ameyoko market, Ueno park and museums. The biggest plus factor is the Kotobukiyo Sento (public bath) located a stones throw from the hotel where one can experience hot pools and saunas the Japanese way for only Y500. It's nice as its quite close to the JR station.

It was in a lovely, quiet location. It was also very convenient, close to both the rain and metro station.

5 to 10 minute from Ueno station but 3 minutes from Inaricho metro. Lawson and Post Office nearby. Inside the single room is small but enough to put a baggage. Toilet bowl comes with a Washlet. Quiet and peaceful. Staff know some English. Not signs to lead you to the hotel, I got GPS to guide me. Overall, good!

I had no problems with the hotel itself. Friendly staff, clean rooms with everything we needed, probably the biggest hotel room we stayed in and not far from Ueno station. ...however the neighbourhood of Ueno needed questioning. Although there was some great shop alley ways and restaurants around, with Ueno park and Asakusa not too far away. I am a long time Japan veteran. I would not stay at this hotel again- poor location, little shopping in immediate neighborhood, high price, room very small. There are better places for the same or similar cost.

We enjoyed staying at Chisun Ueno. The room for the 2 of us was quite big for a J-standard. The Hotel and our room are clean. The staff at the Reception Desk is superb. The Hotel location is very convenient: - It takes only 5 minutes walk from Ueno Keisei Station where we caught the Cityliner Train to and from the Narita Airport. The Ueno Keisei Station […] is located next to the Ueno Station where we caught the Yamanote and Joban Lines. - The Ueno Park & The Ueno Zoo are also located next to the Ueno Station and the Ueno Keisei Station. - It takes less than 10 minutes walk to Okachi Machi where the shops (Takeya, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, etc) & restaurants (Kaiten Sushi Rest., Sukiya, Yoshinoya, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc) and Matsuzakaya Dept. Store are located. - It takes less than 20 minutes walk to Akihabara. We will definitely return to stay at the Chisun Ueno the next time we're in Tokyo. P.S. Great location near Ueno train station. Its about 10 minutes walk to hotel. Near many eateries and convenience stores. Also near shopping area,garden and zoo.

...everything's cool. It was a bit hard to find this hotel because the sign wasn't illuminated, but it is about a 10 minute walk from JR Ueno Station. I had a backpack and rollaboard and didn't find the walk that arduous.

Not far from Ueno Station and a short walk to Asakusa this hotel is comfortable and the staff were very accommodating.

Lobby in the hotel was of much better quality than we were expecting. The room was also bigger than we were expecting. The hotel was a little difficult to find initially, however it was very easy to get from the hotel to the train station once we knew where it was. We were able to find the hotel without any trouble, however I think it was more by good […] luck and a sense of direction than anything else. My recommendation would be to find a really good map before you go and bare in mind that few of the streets have street signs. We had limited contact with the hotel staff however the did have some English. My only comment would be that some of the staff were quite arrogant about their establishment. Whether or not their arrogance was warrented, it is not the nicest trait when asking questions on a holiday. Läs mer

This hotel offers good access to Ueno Station and Narita Airport rail line. Basic accommodations, rooms could be cleaner and better maintained, staff friendly and helpful.

This is the second time in a month I have stayed at this hotel. If you are looking for a low-budget hotel and don't need a lot of space but still want to maintain some standards, this is a good bet. Space is very limited and I wasn't really able to unpack, but the bed was comfortable, there was ample desk space, the bath/shower was really good and […] the toilet the deluxe 'washlet' type. Hotel staff were good, but it's a bit of a struggle to get up the stairs if you have a big bag. Don"t expect anyone to come and help you! Ditto goes for coming out of Inaricho station- no elevator or escalator, so prepare to lug your suitcase up the stairs yourself. Best of all is the location. There are plenty of great attractions in the area: Asakusa and its famous temple, Ueno Zoo, Ueno Park, and since Ueno JR station is so close, you can easily take the Yamanote line to places like Harajuku and Shinjuku. Room size of deluxe superior is acceptable n the price is cheap among other hotel. Easy reach JR with 8 mins walking distances. The cleanliness is acceptable n the staff is nice. But, no Wifi service provided. However, 2 PC are free to use in lobby. Good choice if u are price concerns.

Considering it's very cheap for Tokyo, this is a good place to stay. Rooms are very clean and in good repair, and all the basics are there. Of course the room is tiny, but this is Tokyo and it is a cheap hotel so you can't expect more for the price and location. The location is good...once you actually find the hotel. I spent ages walking around looking […] for it because the map at the station was totally misleading, and directions given by others on this site were equally useless to me. For the record, from Inaricho Station, take the first left right outside the station, then the second left again (right before Park Homes Residences). The hotel is on the right hand side of the street. I was just fortunate that friendly locals pointed me in the right direction. And I actually live in Japan, so it's not like I was straight off the plane or anything. That would have been extra frustrating and daunting. Pros: Good location, clean and deep bath-tab, quiet surroundings, kind and supportive staffs. Cons: Small bed, no wi-fi(but LAN cable available), no all plans include comp-breakfast. All in all, great hotel except for some minor disadvantages as above.

The rooms are clean but very very small. The hotel is close to the train but the staff have very little knowledge and cannot provide any help. Had to obtain help from other hotels who were so helpful with getting around. The site also stated free internet wi-fi however this was not available and the staff had no idea what I was talking about. Rooms […] also smelt of cigarettes despite booking non smoking, one of our rooms was a smoking room and we had two children in that room. We love this Hotel, it was easy to get to and close to the underground. staff are A++ and are happy to help you in anyway. The only thing that needs to be said is that when you buy the pay T.V ticket the only chanels you get are one: sport two: Sex (porn) three: Sex(porn) this would not be a problem exceped it was brought by a 14 boy as it did not tell […] you about chanels, other wise we will be back to say there anytime we are in Japan. thanks from Läs mer

The best location, close to Tokyo Metro, tourist attractions and most within walking distance, also shopping within walking distance, the room size maybe small for some, but I found it adequate, the amenities took care of all my needs, and the staff was very helpful even with the language barrier, price great too.

Hotel room was small but clean. It is conveniently located near to subway stations and in close proximity to down town Tokyo. Neighborhood felt safe, but I saw a few homeless drunks on the streets. I would stay there again.

The hotel is actually quite easy to find once you are aware of your bearings. From Ueno station, it is a 10-minute walk. For 1st timers, just walk along Asakusa-dori until you reach the intersection of Inaricho. From there, make a left and walk along the road. The hotel is easily visible to your left at the 2nd or 3rd corner. Actually, from Ueno station, […] one can switch over to the Ginza Line on the Tokyo Metro and alight at Inaricho station. From there, it is a easy 3-minute walk to the hotel as aforementioned. The hotel staff are friendly enough and try their best to answer all questions that you may have. No complaints there. The room, as per most hotels in Japan, was small. Tiny really but you will get used to it soon enough. The hotel may not be new but cleanliness standard is good. The hotel is easily accessible by Tokyo Metro (different from JR) so you can plan you trips using the metro subways. For those planning a daytrip to Nikko, the hotel is near enough to Asakusa station that it is convenient to head out early in the morning and take the 6:20am train to Nikko. Ueno is nearby so 1st time visitors will have enough to occupy them for a full day (e.g. Tokyo musuem, Ueno park area and surroundings). Last thing is that those travelling on a budget can actually take the shuttle coach (1000yen per pax) to Narita as the pickup point is near Inaricho station. This hotel is a safe bet for those business and leisure travelers staying near Tokyo hotspots at competitive rates. Rooms are great equipped, have good air conditioning and are extremely clean, size of bed and space in semi-double rooms was enough for me and my girlfriend (I expected to be smaller). The hotel is though for making life easy for guests […] and are not greedy with extra charges (vending machines and massage services, free printing in business corner...) L'hotel est bien propre et silencieu. Il est bien placé a 2 min de la ligne jaune Ginza et à 5 10 min de Ueno station d'ou part un train direct vers l'aéroport en 45min. De plus l'hotel se trouve à proximité du Parc de Ueno qui est très agréable.

Comoda y agradable

Bon rapport qualité prix , attention pas facile a situer sans l'aide des japonais.

雖然裝潢都是舊的,不過維持的很好很乾淨,床鋪睡起來非常舒服,浴缸也夠大,飯店周圍是住宅區,環境單純安靜,若是下次造訪東京也住這個區域的話一定會選擇這裡

隣近稻荷町火車站，離上野站也不過十分鐘步行，很方便。四周環境清靜，附近也有開得較晚的面店和便利店。這價錢來說是不錯的酒店。

房間沒有想像中大，加床後就幾乎沒地方走路了，電視遙控器似乎沒電，只成功開關機各一次XD 插座有點不夠用，但除了浴室裡，房間還有多附一隻吹風機，對住進三個女生的我們來說太實用了~ 離車站也滿近，但不太好找，多虧了好心的路人指路!! 如果沒加床的話也是挺舒適的，還是會推薦給朋友囉

First hotel is located near Ueno station (about 5 min) where you can take Jr and Metro at the same time. also you can take Skyliner to go back to Narita airport easily. plus you can go to the downtown of Ueno just by walk.. アメ横に近いので宿泊したが、場所がわかりづらいかな？室内はきれいでしたが少々狭い感じあり。素泊まりであればもう少し安くてもいいのでは？

가격대비 좋았던것 같습니다. 침대시트가 깨끗하고, 청소가 항상 잘되어 있어서 좋았습니다. 화장실도 깨끗히 청소해주시지만, 많이 낙후되었더라구요. 식사는 1200엔했던것 같은데, 괜찮았던 듯 합니다. 야채와 과일이 있어균형있는 식사를 할 수 있었구요. 개인적으로 달걀 프라이랑 씨리얼이 없어서 아쉬웠네요.

Gute Lage, unweit Ueno Bahnhof. Zu Fuss und mit U-Bahn ist Stadtteil Asakusa gut erreichbar.
