Det var ok. Vi fick en svit med anledningen av att vi var på resande fot. Mycket snällt!Populärt after work ställe. Musik och skratt hördes från restaurangen men slutade ungefär när vi lade oss. Inget som vi störde oss på.

I like the idea of this hotel, taking an old space and making it new again. The bathrooms are really nice, the decor is cool, and TV in the room is amazing. The only problem I had was it was very loud, the walls and door were too thin. I could hear doors, people, the ice maker,etc all night. Maybe it is because of the modern decor that sound bounces […] off everything. Glad I had my sound machine app to cover up the noise. Läs mer

I initially changed my room after the first night as I was a woman traveling alone and the windows in the rear of the Hotel are not very secure. My second room upstairs was much safer...although it did not have the heated floors as the first. All in all, great place to stay, loved the styling. Can be noisy at night until about 1am on Friday and Saturday, […] do not recommend staying with kids. Läs mer

I love the Modern! The staff is welcoming and helpful, the rooms are well done, but really the best feature is the wonderful bar and restaurant. Amazing atmosphere, drinks and food!

The exterior of this hotel was old and ther was a lot of maintenance going on. Under the stairwells were full of maintenance equipment, hoses, trash, etc. the room was furnished nicely, but the structure was old and cheap. Maybe if they wallpapered the white walls? The bathroom was remodeled very nicely, but there was no counter space for makeup bags. […] The bar downstairs was nice and very busy all evening. Breakfast was a nice selection except for the one small glass of OJ they limited to you. We would not stay here again. Läs mer

Just average hotel with less than convenient bathroom fixtures. No room to put anything.

Staying at the Modern Hotel was like sleeping in a "Dwell" magazine. Loved the "mid-century" vibe of the room and the bathroom was out of this world. My only quibble is that there seemed to be some kind of loud-muffler muscle car thing going on into the late hours. Not sure if this is a weekend habit with these cars or some kind of one-off event. I love this place and always recommend it to others, I never get a particularly warm reception when checking in, I have stayed here over 12 times and they ask me every time if I have stayed with them before, they might consider tracking repeat customers, it is a small enough place and they could note favorite rooms for people returning like myself. […] This time I actually got a warm reception from the night clerk. It's all wonderful: the staff and guest services, ambiance, rooms, Euopean style funky...and love the fact that it's a remodel of a former TravelLodge. We stay here very time we come to Boise.

Easy to get to. Excellent bar. Wonderful breakfast! Really nice staff! Had a great stay! It was also very clean and unique. Totally would stay there again. Highly recommend.

The outside of the hotel belies the sleek, European feel of the rooms and bar area. A very comfortable stay. Only suggestion is the quality and variety of the continental breakfast could be improved.

Friendly staff and very clean room; however, they did not restock the shampoo, conditioner, and washclothe. There was no coffee or tea in the room.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone...great bar, great food, and the free amenities can't be beat - free internet, free continental breakfast, and close to everything that Boise has to offer (and that's a lot!). But...how about an extra bar of soap for the shower, an extra chair, and a newspaper?

We had the best stay at the Modern Hotel. Super clean comfortable room, walk-in shower, Aveda products, amazing bar with incredible cocktails, friendly staff, a short jaunt to downtown, what's not to love?

In many ways, a great place to stay. Super friendly and accomodating staff, good atmosphere, clean rooms, fun bar with good drinks and high energy. Perfect offerings for a light breakfast. Only complaint is the noise level. Could hear doors opening and closing throughout the night, and street / traffic noise. Quiet is a must for me. It was difficult […] to sleep. Läs mer

I stay there every time I go to Boise. It is a great place and the people are very friendly.

Had a great time staying there. Clean rooms nice modern retro remodel. super nice people. great bar food. good drinks. Slept good. just wish the heater units were totally quiet but a super affordable place. Loved it. would recommend it in an instant. better than most of the bigger hotels in the area.

What a gem in the middle of nowhere! I got in off the highway late and was expecting to stay at some depressing chain hotel. Image my delight when I found this clean, airy, hip hotel! The lobby doubles as a bar and was filled with chatter when I walked in. The rooms are simple but interesting with modern touches like a square sink and rain shower. First time we stayed in this hotel and loved it. Great room. Great atmosphere. Easy part of town to get to. We're going to make this our new regular stop when coming through Boise.

Was worried when I pulled up by exterior view, but the inside was very nice and up to date. The hotel has a very nice bar and serves upscale cocktails. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the heart of downtown. I would stay here again.

We stayed one night while we moved across the country. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. The room was basic with modern furniture. It was clean and simple. The room we had was small, but it didn't matter since we were just sleeping there. If we had time we would've had a drink at the bar. The morning had complimentary breakfast. The bagels […] were great and the freshly squeezed OJ hit the spot. I gave the one 3 because the heater took a super long time to blow warmer air out of the unit. It eventually did after several hours, at which point we had to turn it off because we were burning up. I let the ladies know in the morning. Läs mer

The description and photos are a complete misrepresentation of the hotel. It is dirty. It is in a seedy part of Boise. Awful.

This was a great deal . Its an awesome little place with a great breakfast and cocktail hour and a short walk to downtown. The only thing that would have been nice was a small microwave in the room.

The Modern is a fun, funky place to stay in downtown Boise. The bar / restaurant is happening and the staff is super friendly.

Get the Rock & Roll Suite for eclectic comfort. Looks below average from the outside but that only accentuates the great design and comfort on the inside. Outstanding "remember your name" service and one of a kind bar scene

Boise isn't that large so it's not accurate to say The Modern is on the edge of downtown, but if you are a big city person that's probably how you would describe the location. It is a quick 10 minute stroll (if that) to many shops and restaurants but also located near a strip club so you can kind of get an idea of the location. But nestled between the […] strip club and motel is Big City Coffee and Craig + CO...so grab a giant muffin and get your shop on at Craig + CO for some adorable paper/home good type stuff. As EVERYONE comments, yes...this is a remodeled Travelodge, but it's the closest thing Boise has to a boutique hotel. The bar is awesome (you feel like you are in Portland or Williamsburg rather than Boise). This is definitely not the kind of place you want to stay if you have kids in tow. There is an outdoor courtyard area in front of many of the rooms with fire pits so I am sure it could be loud on a weekend. Staff was nice, room was clean but be warned that the sink is pretty shallow. Random thing to mention but you'll understand when you see it. I would definitely stay at the Modern again and direct my friends to do the same. If you like hip, trendy, sparse design The Modern is for you. If you like craft cocktails and good eats, The Modern Bar is for you. Läs mer

We loved, loved, loved our stay at The Modern. This is not your typical hotel. It is fun, has a great bar, convenient to downtown and many amenities but even more than that, the staff were friendly and pleasant. Each one acted as though they "loved working there". The night auditor who was a great guy even commented to my husband that it was the only […] hotel in Boise he wanted to work for. And, the continental breakfast was awesome...fresh squeezed juices and bagels with butter and jam and the croissants were heavenly. I have never taken the time to write a review. The rooms have been refurbished with tiled showers and the latest in contemporary sinks. However, our door (right off the street) would not close without great effort (and noise), the room was small with only an uncomfortable, modern chair in which to "lounge" and our drinking glasses were never replaced despite the fact we stayed 4 nights and had used […] them. The staff was very friendly and the room was quieter than I would have expected being right on the street but these things didn't make up for the room's lack of appeal. Läs mer

I had been wanting to experience the Modern as I travel to Boise about every 3-4 months for work. The staff were very courteous and helpful and the room quaint yet comfortable. The breakfast was perfect for me, coffee, fresh juice, bagels and yogurt. My one complaint would be the overpowering scent of soap, not bleach, in the hallway leading to my room. […] It immediately reminded me of having my mouth washed out with soap for being a potty mouthed child. The scent was not in my room and I spent very little time at the hotel during the day so I didn't bother to complain. Other than that I enjoyed my stay and will likely stay again. Läs mer
