My stay wasn't exactly what I expected. I was excited to celebrate my birthday here, however I couldn't exactly relax. There's was a huge spider in my room that I thought went away, until I woke up and he was hovering over my bed. Also there was a lot of little black bugs crawling over the towels, linen and in the jacuzzi. My bathroom smelled of mildew […] and that's bad for someone that has terrible allergies like myself. I think minus those factors, I would've had a wonderful stay. But I won't rule them out just yet, willing to give it a second try. Läs mer

I never leave reviews but I made an exception for the Champaign Lodge. I saw pictures online but never imagined that my room would actually look like it does in their photos. I got the cheapest room they had available and the room was extremely luxurious. The Bath / Spa was one of the biggest I had ever seen. Highly Recommended.

We were originally looking at another romantic hotel in the area, but chose this one because rooms looked more romantic. The executive room was very clean and had fireplace, large hot tub, and steam shower. Our first night the steam feature started, but then shut off on its own and would not turn back on. We contacted front desk and person said he didn't […] know how those worked. He said he would try to contact maintenance and ask. We never heard back. The next morning at breakfast, we told the front desk lady and she said the previous occupant prob had it set to a timer. She agreed to send maintenance. After 5 hours of us being gone, we returned to still an unworking feature. No note or message as to whether fix was attempted or possible. Upon checkout, we complained about the feature of the room not working, no communication from hotel about progress, etc. she only replied, "well, we did reset it" . It's unfortunate that guests who are staying at your hotel for two nights, just for this particular hotels's features, cannot receive better communication or some type of apology/ accommodation for a defective feature! This location is hard to find. The gps told us something different and we had to call the hotel and they were able to direct us to their location.

It was a great getaway! Hotel was a close drive from Chicago right off I-55. Room was clean and staff was very helpful. I highly recommend this place for a inexpensive getaway.

Most fun rooms on the market. The check in personnel could use better customer service training but once you get in your room , you may not want to leave. Have stayed there twice and every time you enter your room it is an overwhelming experience.

Entering the address of 621 s frontage rd in Apple Maps doesn't recognize this address and will give you the choice of either 621 frontage rd or 621 n frontage rd (621 joliet rd actually), both of which will lead you to some apartments across the tri state (north). GPS cannot locate. Wasted 2 hours. Nice motel type lodge. Great rooms, everything else limited. If you are looking for a nice and big room, even romantic- yes. Out by itself and not much close. Enjoyed stay -due to fireplace, huge thermo shower, jacuzzi, however breakfast mediocre and small. Lobby- non existent. No restaurant .

the ad`s are totally deceiving..the mirrors make the room look larger than it actually is..! everything is scrammed in a tiny room and this is the executive suite! no room to move if you have a suit case it`s that small. expected more room.. also hard to find...never again.

The only thing I could really complain about would be that the wifi wasn't sufficient, and it's a little bit out of the way. Aside from that, everything was excellent.

I cannot say enough about how fabulous the Executive Suite is at CL! The room blew us away, and surpassed all expectations! I would have given this hotel a 5, but when we showed up early very stressed and frustrated (we're from Iowa - and planned on spending the early afternoon downtown at the museum but did not know it was located next door to Soldier […] Field where the Bears had a game at the same time! Forget about it!), asking if we could check in early if at all possible we were told that wasn't going to be possible. So, being very unfamiliar with the state and the town we asked what the community had to offer. She didn't really seem to want to help us - considering we drove 5 hours to have a romantic night away and she was telling us we could go to the movie theater in town. Hmm. We didn't really have a choice, but thankfully at the end of her telling us directions to the theater she did say we could call and maybe check in an hour early, which we were able too. If you plan on staying here, your room will be AMAZING - just keep in mind the 5:00 pm check in time. Staff could have been a lot more helpful and friendly, but we would go back again just for the experience of the room!!! Läs mer

The hotel room itself was quite nice. Elegant, classy, and fun with a large oversized jetted tub in the center room and artificial fireplace. The shower was great with steam and rain options. A fridge and microwave were included which is super convenient for leftovers. My only complaint on the room was that the room was a bit cramped and there were […] no windows. *** Service at the front desk was friendly and a (very simple) breakfast was offered at no cost. Wine can be purchased at the front desk for a reasonable cost and includes (plastic) wine glasses. We stayed for 6 days and when we checked out about an hour late (11AM is checkout, apparently), we were charged a fine. Aside from that, service was good. *** The immediate surroundings were not that great. There's no where to go within a walking distance. You will need to drive about 10 mi to get to any decent food options. Also, I had a hard time finding it. I used three different GPSes, and they all took me to different but wrong places. I am not sure who rents CL because all their rooms are designed to serve only one purpose.. drink all day in the bath tub that is fixed in the bedroom (yes, right next to your bed there is a huge bath tub) and don't have any other requirement like eating or breakfast (because there is no meal service and breakfast is just muffins and bagels on the house). […] I had rented the hotel room because I was arriving from overseas and wanted a place closer to work, but turned out that it did not satisfy even the basic needs of having sufficient place to put suit cases, get some food after long travel, or look outside the window (none of the rooms have windows). I love the fact that every room is equipped with a HD TV steam bath, LARGE hot tub, and stereo. This hotel is meant for a romantic getaway, but I like staying there when I'm in town on business because the rooms have all that (and a refrigerator and microwave). It's better than being at home!
