Hotellet ligger mycket fint vid place de la Sorbonne, ett litet torg som är lugnt och mysigt och vätter mot boulevard St Michel. En fontän utgjorde det mesta ljudet men fönstrena var ljudtäta som man sov gott. RER-stationer mycket nära vilket gör att man slipper byta när man tar sig in från Roissy. Ligger perfekt i kvarter med massor av studenter och restauranger. Rummet var mikroskopiskt men rent och fräscht och nyligen renoverat. Just nu pågår renoveringsarbete utanför fönstret, det var mindre kul, men vi var ute hela dagen så det gjorde inte så mycket.

Perfect in all sences. The rooms are small, but if you don´t spend much more time there except for sleeping it doesn´t matter. It´s prefectly situated, right at the Place de la Sorbonne, nice surroundings and close to the metro.

Superfräscht hotell med fantastiskt läge i de charmiga latinska kvarteren. Gångavstånd till Notre Dame, Louvren och Hotel de Ville. Rekommenderar varmt!

Select hotel ligger perfekt till. Det är bara några hundra meter från RER stationen till hotellet och det är inte heller långt till metron. Dessutom är det gångavstånd till Norte Dame. Personalen på hotelet pratar engelska och är väldigt hjälpsamma. Rummet var mysigt och hade världens skönaste sängar. Det enda negativa var frukosten. We loved this hotel. Nice, clean, newly totally refurbished (by the looks). Air conditioning worked perfectly. No complaints at all and we highly recommend it. Personnel were helpful and the breakfast was surprisingly good (we had expected to only get some croassint with coffee but there was youghurt, cerials etc). Location is absolutely perfect right […] outside the Sorbonne, at a small quiet square with two restaurants. Lots of nice restaurants in the area, close to subway and RER trains, walking distance to Notre Dame, Jardin Luxemburg etc. Will definitely check it out next time I go to Paris! Läs mer

Detta hotell ligger på en magisk plats i hjärtata av quartie Latin. Vi har stannat i hotellet i många år. För varje år är det sämre och mycket dyrare. Vi stannade där i år på grund av läge men det var nog sista gången...

Fördelen med hotellet är att det ligger rätt centralt, ca 5 minuter från Notre Dame. Det är enkelt att ta sig från/till Orly resp Charles de Gaulle-flygplatsen med RER B till 300 m från hotellet. Frukosten var spartansk och vårt rum var rätt litet. GREAT location, service, rooms, etc. Highly recommended. Helpful, service-minded, smiling staff. Clean, designed and comfortable rooms. Me and my girlfriend were very happy about the hotel in every way. Place de la Sorbonne right outside the door added to the overall feel.

The hotel was in a great location. The problem we found with it was the room was very small. We also were there when they were doing construction so our window view outside was of plastic and construction stuff. Also the elevator only was big enough for 2 people. We had to make several trips with our luggage. You have to be a normal sized person to […] stay there. It worked okay for us. For some it would not. The staff was okay. All was ok. Can recommend the place. Only downside, there was no shower curtain so bath get a bit flooded. Else good quality place.

The Select Hotel in the Place de la Sorbonne Paris is very clean and comfortable. It is wonderfully quiet and we slept well. The loo is only good for people in a double room who know each other well as it doesn't offer all that much privacy but the rooms themselves are very nice and the lighting is excellent for people who like to read. nice small hotel close to many tourist destinations. The breakfast was good. The only minus is the elevator was small.

This hotel is in a fabulous location beside the Sorbonne and within walking distance of most must see sights. We weren't too happy with the first room we were given which was at the top and at the back of the hotel. We asked if we could be moved and the reception staff were more than helpful in obliging us and we were moved to a room on the first floor […] overlooking the square. The standard of the hotel is very high, the buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. All in all a great hotel with happy, friendly staff and we would us it again and highly recommend it. This hotel has everything going for it, from its location right at the Sorbonne on a quiet place, to echoes of its past blended with tasteful modernity, to fine management. But currently (December 2011) it is undergoing renovation (for a couple of more months?) with lots of daytime noise, so check before you decide.

good hotel in a nice location

This was my first time to Paris and the location of the hotel was fantastic! It was very close to the Metro (specifically the Nortre Dame). The hotel was very clean, the staff was very proficient at English. The continental breakfast was good and the room was very comfortable for the three of us. The only complaint that I have is that we really could/ve […] used a shower curtain.... I usually like to stand while taking a shower rather than sitting or kneeling to prevent water from going everywhere. Läs mer

This is a quaint little hotel, the rooms are quite small, but adequate for a sightseing trip with little down time in the room. Bathrooms were very modern and clean. Breakfast was included and was better than what you could get at an average cafe. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great for walking to the subway, very claose […] to NotreDam and the River. Very quiet, despite being near tons of shops, restraunts asnd bars. The elevator was sketchy, so if stairs are a problem, you might want to pass. Only complaint - after arriving at noon were asked to come back at 2:00 - no problem. But when we checked in a 2:00, they sent us to 2 or 3 rooms which we'rent ready, untill we finally found one that was. After that, the stay was great. Loved the old beams in the ceiling in our room. Great location.... but a really small room, bathroom, and the elevator is definitely for one person (two if no luggage).... it's so small its almost scary. Everything was clean, well taken care of and there are great cafes right next door to the hotel.

Very satisfly overall except the bathroom tub in our room has no shower curtain, so everytime we take a shower, water splashes all over. The drain also was not able to open and close in the shower. But it is a nice hotel to stay in if you are visiting Paris, great location, not too far from the Metro, decent breakfast included.

Room was small, but clean and modern. Staff was friendly, and spoke good English. The neighborhood was cool and convenient. Unfortunately the room was often warmer than we would have liked, the AC was centrally controlled, and never clicked on the whole time we where there. Additionally the shower didn't work, so we had to use a hand held shower, which […] is fine by European standards, but just wasn't the same. Finally the hotel was being renovated, so we had a view of scaffolding out of our window, but since the window just opened up to the other side of the hotel, we weren't missing much. Excellent location for a city break in Paris. Lovely modern hotel. Friendly staff and very good service. All sites easily accessible. Lovely restaurants and bars nearby. Would definately stay there again.

Really good location - perfect for the train to the airport - have to change lines a few times to get to some of the must see sights though. Really comfy beds & good breakfast & friendly & helpful staff who speak English. Highly recommend this hotel.

great location room was a bit cramped but well maintained comfortable bed and pillows very nice breakfast. Would probably upgrade to a slightly bigger room.

The Select Rive Gauche is ideally situated in a lovely square in a quiet and nice area of Paris. Its about 500m to the main Metro station Place de Sorbonne and RER which goes direct to CDG airport.It is about 800 to 1000m to The Seine and Notre Dame, the walk down passes high quality shops, street cafe's, and restaurants until you come to a warren of […] lovely little cobbled streets full of bars, restaurants and shops (this area becomes lively and vibrant on a night). The hotel was clean and new as was our room 78. The bedroom was smallish but had a shower / toilet room also which too was clean and new. This was our second visit to Paris. I would definately stay at this hotel again as it and the location as it made a perfect stay. Läs mer

Location is fantastic--the main building of the Sorbonne is outside the front door, less than five minutes walk to the Cluny, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens. In the heart of the Latin Quarter with bookstores everywhere (too bad i don't read french). 7 minute walk to the Seine and 10 to Notre Dame. Friendly staff, beautiful reception and common spaces. […] As other reviews have said, the rooms are small (but not as cave-like as the online pictures showed.) We had the cheapest room and the two of us never felt cramped. The window opened (european style with shutters) out to a gardened atrium, very nice. Bed was very very comfortable. Only little complaint is that there were no towel racks or hooks and it was hard to find a place to hang towels in the small space. We would stay again. Läs mer

The location was incredible, you're right next to Luxemburg gardens, the Pantheon, and the University, Notre Dame ..... and the Latin Quarter, food, places to shop and visit. Can't find better place. The room was so elegant, my wife said I got a 10!!!!!

Ideal hotel for the 4 days we spent in Paris. The room,whilst not massive, was fine for that space of time, good facilities. Hotel staff very friendly. Fact breakfast was included in the hotel price made it an even better deal (eating out in Paris is pretty expensive). Good location, most things walkable but good access to RER and metro if don't have […] the time to walk everywhere (or its raining). Easy to get to from Gare de Nord. Läs mer

My Booking was not done Properly. This Hotel made me pay for extra room for my daughter though I had requested accomodation for 1 room with triple.

the hotel lobby is beautiful... the rooms are renovated as well, but in a very chain hotel fashion. When I stay at a boutique hotel, I'm looking for something different and the lobby pictures give you that idea, its not. Really great location literally right next door to Sorbonne with cafes right outside. Close to gardens, notre dame etc. Hotel is recently renovated and in really good shape. Small rooms as expected in Paris. Breakfast is also typically French, bread and not much more.

just steps away from the metro, the latin quarter, notre dam, walk to the louvre, musee d'orsay, musee rodin, very close to hop-on-hop-off stops, 3 cafes in the square, everything one could possible want. except our room had no shower (only a hand held that was impossible to not flood the bathroom when using), no door on the bath, plus the toilet was […] on the opposite side of the room and had no sink, had to cross room to bath to wash your hands, would've moved us but hotel was booked, we managed. and fell in love with paris, would do it all over again. plus we left a large amount of cash in the safe in the room which was turned in to the front desk and sent to us back in the states...just lovely!!! Nice location, quiet, very friendly staff. No shower in my room But comfortable bed

Excellent location. Near to all the sights and great cafes and restaturants right on the doorstep. The room was small but that seems to be the case if you want to stay right in the city. The lift was also tiny - my son's wheelchair just about fitted in. But we would certainly go back to the hotel.

Clean, neat, friendly efficient hotel in a great neighborhood. Rooms are a little small (Duh! -it's Paris) but well laid out and completely usable. Only real problem is that they are changing their name and the taxi drivers can't find them without the actual address. Loved our stay and would definitely go there in the future.

We loved the location and surrounding neighborhood. Very close to Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, the Louvre, the Pantheon and public transportation. Good restaurants closeby. Room is quite small so it made it tough to move around in it with just 2 people. Most of the time we were out sightseeing so it didn't matter too much.
