Hotel wanted me to pay them extra to bring Dominican Girls girls to my room.

This hotel was probably good a long time ago, but right now it needs urgent renovation. The rooms are spacious (we stayed in a suite) but everything is so old and worn out. The bathroom tub was broken and loosing the painting, the furniture was so old and tired, that it did not invite use. They did not even put water or coke in the rooms, they put a […] big gallon of water to be shared by the four apartments in the building, that was horrible, not even a little fridge just the water gallon sitting in a table, it was funny cause all the time i was there the bottle remained unopened. The stove was rusty, and the kitchen cries for renovation. You can only get one pool tower per day, unbelievable, that is cause they don't have enough towels. Food was ok, almost same everyday, and the quality of stuff (such as cheese, meat, etc.), was very low, flavor was ok. entertainment was really low budget. The beach was good. Don't know what else to say, just that I will not be staying there anymore, and that this is a really low end hotel, if that is what you want, then you should be fine, but otherwise, dont even try it. This is the worst resort i've ever been to. It shouldnt even be called a resort, it is horrible. Food is disgusting, there isnt any variety on the food, SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, staff treats people with no matters. Even if you see the prices low, please dont book anything here, its not even worth the low price that you are going to pay. I found the service very crappy, the daily activities was almost non existent, "restaurant" food was good. Only one restaurant and a make up eating area on the beach. Rooms were less than great. could have gotten more for way less. Had to complain about being placed in a smoking room that hgad not been cleaned for days and problem was not resolved until […] a second call to the front desk hours later. The hotel was okay for what I spend the whole experience was okay no problem exept for the fact that they did not stock the fridge with water first night me and my girlfriend was extremely thirtsy other than that we enjoyed our stay there

WILL NOT RETURN,THE HOTEL QUALITY WAS OKAY,BUT THE FOOD WAS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL,FOR THE MONEY IT REALLY WASNT WAT I EXPECTED.COULD BE BETTER..NEEDS IMPROVEMENT IN FOOD SERVICE..

Hotel was ok. Room was nice & clean and cable worked. Internet in the room is advertised but NOT available You can pay for access in the lobby but there was nothing in the rooms and that is the only reason we booked it! :o( Food was awful - we couldn't eat there. We hired a car and visited Cabarete which is lovely - lots a beach bars and restaurants on the beach - very romantic at night. You can book a return taxi from the hotel and they'll come and collect you at an agreed time. Make sure you negotiate the advertised rate!!!! Negotiate for everything!! There are plenty of cash machines and always look around for the best currency deal. We wouldn't come back to Hotel Celuisma but will come back to the Dominican. Läs mer

Unfortunately the service provided was not at all as expected. I made no less the 12 calls to the front desk to complain about the lack of air conditioning. It got repaired on the second day but went out again on the third day. I would call and the front desk would advise they would send a maintenance man. No one would show up so I would have to call […] again and again. Finally I spoke to the Hotel manager and the A/C was repaired and worked very well for the last 2 days we were there. I was also dissapointed that we were not able to eat at any of the ala carte restaurants. The 2 times we tried to make reservations we were told they were all booked up. We walked by The Carribean Grill at 8 PM and saw that almost half of the tables were not sat.... not sure why we were denied a reservation. All in all I was dissapointed. I thought maybe the manager would offer me future compensation, an incentive to return and give them a chance to get things right, but that was never offered. 1 free future night would have made me feel like they wanted my business. I will be returning to the D. R. to see my girlfriend and we will stay somewhere else. Sorry Celuisma but the service provided was sub par at best. Läs mer

This place is real nice for those who can not afford a five star hotel. The pool is real nice, the setting is cozy, and you can really relax. The beach is not far, compared to some other places I have been at you have to get a ride there, the food is good but they should have a larger selection of food. The service was great at the hotel. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The staff does whatever it takes to make you happy. The food is horrible and repetetive. However, I am very unhappy with management because they allowed concerts and extremely loud music to play overnight from 11pm till 6am. When we got there the overnight party was in the pool […] area. The music bothered us but not as much. Our room was in very close proximity to the beach. So over the weekend for three consecutive nights the party was moved to the beach and it was very disturbing. No one was able to sleep. It was a nightmare. To think we went there to relax. We called front desk and they indicated that they had a contract with this group of tourist therefore they could not turn down the music or end the concert. Very unfair to other paying guests. Management could care less. I heard that surrounding hotels complained as well. My advice is if you are going to go to this hotel make sure you call and find out if there are any overnight parties, because if you get stucked there you are in for a ride of loud music with no relaxation and no one will do anything about it.
