"Convenient location."
The hotel was undergoing some cosmetic updates/construction, but the overall cleanliness was impeccable. The staff was so nice and friendly and made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again and again .... thank you!Verifierad gästrecension

"Overall OK"
This is your run of the mill HI Express, except they should let you know before you book that they are currently under renovation. There were hallways blocked off, wallpaper was peeled off the walls, etc.Verifierad gästrecension
"Pass this one up in 2013"
We were shocked after we checked in to find that this hotel is in the process of a major renovation. Literally half the hotel was closed, and the hallways were blocked with plastic drop-cloths and washing machines. In the half of the hotel that was open, the hallways were in various states of having their wallpaper removed and being spackled, and the […] carpets were filthy. Although our room was comfortable and clean, the hallways were a wreck and it felt as if we were in a fleabag hotel that charges by the hour. Honestly, this hotel should be closed while this work is being performed. They should have completed work in the other half, then opened it and closed the 2nd half while they renovated. We were greatly disappointed with Hotels.com for renting us this room, and considering the condition of the hotel, the rate we paid was far too high. Extremely disappointed. "Great Place to Stay"
WE love to stay here when we go up to the Casino. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The shuttle to and from the Casino is the greatest. The staff is always smiling and happy to answer any questions or help in anyway possible.Verifierad gästrecension

"Excellent service, close to casino,"

Holiday Inn Express was a nice alternative to staying on-site at the casino. The service was top class, the breakfast was very tasty, and you can't beat the proximity to the casino. Pricing will always be an issue, but when compared to the others, I'd rank it above all others. Look forward to going back.Verifierad gästrecension

"Close by Hollywood casino and local restaurants"
I really enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn express because I was provided with a great deluxe breakfast and I was given the opportunity to catch the shuttle bus which runs 24/7 to local attractions within the area. Also the staff members were very helpful and friendly.Verifierad gästrecension

The room had an odor which made our stay a bit uncomfortable. It was likely because the vent fan in the bathroom didn't work and it created a mold smell in the room. "Convenient location"
We had reserved a non-smoking room and upon checking in, they put us in a room that had had a smoker before (even though the room was marked non-smoking). I called the desk (though I had to call twice) and they moved us to a pure non-smoking room - which was very nice. (The earlier room was very clean; it just had the smoking odor - even though they […] tried to use a deodorizer to clear the smell.) Otherwise everything was great. "Typical stay!"
It was a very typical Holiday Inn Express - always the same and wonderful, which is why we stay there. My daughter has autism and since every single hotel is nearly identical, it creates a routine for her and she knows what to expect! The only negative was the highway noise in our room. The Holiday Inn Express in Charles Town is in a great location for visiting the nearby casino and also historic Harpers Ferry. Room was comfortable and clean, and I always like the hot breakfast options available every morning. The only issue was that my door lock stopped working on my first night staying in the hotel and I could not get back in.
