"Fine for the location."
My big problem with the room was that the thermostat was not working correctly. We went out for dinner and when we returned several hours later the room was 84.7 degrees. WOW, the coolest the room got was 70.2 after running the cool setting on the wall unit. Opening the windows on the first floor in that part of town was not an option. Safety first […] ! "Holiday Inn Milwaukee"
Everything was very well done. I was dropped off at the other Holiday Inn by the airport by mistake. Since they were full I needed to be transported to the other Holiday Inn. They called for their (my reserved hotel) shuttle to transport me. Why not just take me with the shuttle that was sitting unused in front of that hotel. "Excellent hotel for couples."
Simply excellent hotel. Staff were courteous and helpful, room was very spacious and very clean. First time I've ever had a room with a walk-in shower, which was really neat. The walls are not very thin, which was also quite nice. Only complaint was that the room smelled a bit musty at first, but it went away over time. (I suspect the room had not been […] used in a while) Beds were comfortable and clean, wi-fi access was relatively fast (for a hotel). Although we did not use the pool or fitness center, they both looked very nice, especially the waterpark-esque pool area.Breakfast was superb, I think I ate 3 cinnamon rolls before I had to stop. "Not what we expected from the photos... but nice."
Great hotel for kids... the only surprise for us is that the pool area no longer looks like the photos you see on expedia. The small slide in the middle has been replaced with a variety of pvc spriklers. The bigger slide states a rule that kids must be 48 inches tall to ride the large slide which seemed too tall for a minimum height requirement. The […] second day we were there we saw people sending kids much smaller down the slide so we finally relented to the pleas of our 4 year old and let her go down the slide. "Disappointing with the pool"
The hotel was nice but we saw the picture of the tree house in the pool area on there website and when we got there it wasn't there. This is one of the reasons we chose this hotel and we thought our 3 year old would love the water park area and there was nothing but water spouts there and he did not like them!Verifierad gästrecension

"Hotel guest services were great, but that's all"
The overall hotel is fine and the staff were actually great and very helpful & friendly, but the night we stayed there they were having problems with their air. There was a heat advisory outside and our room was really uncomfortable and stuffy. We checked in late and took advantage of the pool before they closed so we didn't noticed how hot it was in […] there until about 9PM. They did offer to switch us to another room but I decided to stick it out since my little one was sleeping. The most disappointing part of the hotel is the "pool playground". I booked this hotel primarily for that and thought it would be the perfect size for my two year old but the pool looks nothing like the picture! The picture makes the pool look fantastic and this playground was very average. I definitely wish I would've booked at a waterpark hotel. "Dont do it! Stay at the in laws!"
from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out there was some sort of discrepency! we had to wait for the concierge to finish her conversation with one of the workers before she waited on us! Then when entering our room we discovered that not only were we right off the pool area ,which we were not notified or asked if we minded , but the […] phones in our room did not work nor did the ac unit! it took about an hr and a half for someone to come look at the phone and as far as the ac unit went the front desk told us that several units were not working and she actually told us people were leaving! Very professional right?! one more little irritating factor that added to our disappointment was the fact the fire alarms kept going off and I had to contact the front desk to find out what the problem was!the girl said they were being serviced and it would be ongoing! A small tidbit of info that would have been nice to know! oh wait theres more......there was a water park in the hotel that we were supposed to be given wristbands when we checked in to enter,however we werent given those bands, instead we were confronted by an employee that told us we werent allowed access w out bands so my 7yr old son once again had to wait on someone else before enjoying the amenity the hotel so abundantly bragged about!!! very disappointing experience and not one I would ever pay that kind of money for again! in closing:stay at your inlaws-you will have better luck!!! "Holiday Inn Express"
Well unlike the commercials, I do not feel like a genious for staying at the Holiday Inn, but the family did have a great time. The Pool Playground was a dream come true for my toddler. The deepest it got was 4feet, so dont plan on staying here and taking a few laps to swim if you are an adult. Also next to the pool was an outdated arcade, but fun enough […] that my toddler enjoyed it. The breakfast in the morning was not bad, but what can you say for FREE. "Disapointing Night"
The staff that we saw was the lady at check in. She was very knowlegable, polite and professional. Our room was NOT clean. There were stains on the desk chair, chair and the carpet. The bathroom looked like it had kool-aid on the floor. The wall paper in the other room was peeling from the ceiling. The TV didn't work. We had made reservations through […] Expedia. I had booked the room for the wrong date. The hotel was full and I am very grateful to hotel clerk for finding a room for us, however, after spending a restless night in a dirty room I think we should've gone to another hotel. "Great stay"
Very nice hotel close to the airport. Also easy access to the highway and Amtrak is close as well. Had an issue with the toilet and it was fixed in 15 minutes. Staff was very friendly. "Save yourself the trouble - book elsewhere"
This hotel is not comfortable, clean, or pleasant in any way. The staff could barely be bothered to interact with me in any way during check-in; they were too busy eating McDonalds hamburgers at the front desk to assign a room to me. The gave me a list of "local" restaurants, some of which were 15 or more miles away. I don't know what the benefit is […] of giving guests a list of restaurants that involve extensive driving; it would be much more logical to supply guests with a list of restaurants that are local - within a 3 to 5 mile radius. The room I received smelled like mold, and the room's A/C was an ancient, smelly metal box on the wall that rattled when you turned it on. Unfortunately, since the room was directly next door to the "splash zone" indoor water park for kids, the room was humid and smelled like chlorine. Unfortunate billing issues went unresolved - after speaking to front desk staff and the front desk manager, no resolution was found and the manager told me she just didn't understand what was going on with my bill, and could not explain the charges. She finally told me to "wait a few days" and see if the charges cleared themselves up with the credit card company (???). When I questioned the fact that my own info on the bill was wrong and that potentially someone else was charged incorrectly for my stay, that didn't seem to raise any red flags for her at all, and she went back to the wait and see approach to letting the charges somehow resolve themselves. "A few small problems with our stay added up to a disappointing stay."
When we arrived in our room I noticed that there were no towels or washcloths. I called the front desk, they said they would bring some up. 30 minutes later, no towels. Had to go to the front desk to ask for them again. On the second night of our stay, the hot tub was closed. No explanations why. On the third day of our stay, the pool was closed, again, […] no explanation other than a sign on the door saying the pool was out of order. The sign remained there the final day of our stay. The pool and water slide were the main reasons we chose to stay at this hotel. We were disappointed that this amenity was not available for part of our stay. The pancake maker was out of order the first day for breakfast and the milk for the coffee was sour two of the days. That being said, there were no major problems with our stay, just minor problems that added up to make our stay less appealing. There is a LOT of construction around the hotel. "Holiday Inn Express airport - not worth going back"
I was very disatisfied with the hotel we stayed at. The restrooms near the poor were very dirty. Down right disgusting. The pool area was nice, however it had 2 basketball hoops but only one ball. When your facility has nice pool with play equipment it would be very accomidating if you toys for the kids to play with. The pool staff were unattentive […] and busy hanging out with eachother. The lobby staff was very understaffed but did the best they could with what they had. I waited 35 min for clean linen. The room was so narrow, we could not get a cott in the room due to a fire hazzard, that was very inconvenient. I was very disappointed with our stay. The room was on the third floor and it faced the pool area. This particular evening, the pool are was open till 11pm. The noise from the pool are was loud which made it a little harder to sleep. "Fun with grandkids"

We travel to Milwaukee once a year for a business conference with FIS. We stayed at the at the Holiday Inn Express for the first time. It was very convenient to the airport and our conference. Traveled there for a vacation trip and the hotel was as I would expect for a hotel that appeared to be pretty new. Hotel staff was helpful on check in and was courteous the entire time, even when we had to ask for something late at night. The access to the hotel is a bit tough as the road is in need of serious repair, but looks like it is about to progress […] in the coming year. There is very little shopping close by, so expect to have to use a vehicle to get anywhere. Dining close by is also limited, and expect to drive most places as well other than to a McDonalds down the street. If travelling with young kids, this is a good place to stay, as the indoor pool is entertainment for them non stop, and really wears them out to go to sleep that night. "Waterpark room was not a perk."
What drew us to this hotel was the waterpark photos and close proximity to family we were visiting. The hotel location was fine, the location of room with in the hotel was not. We had a second floor room overlooking the pool. The pool was very busy late in the evening and the curtains we had were shear (enought to provide privacy for changing but not […] to keep the light and sound out).
