hotel well used carpets need attention our room was ok cost to high have had better for a lot less, room cleanlyness poor used band-aid stuck to bath room floor excesive food build up under sink lip and back splash tile in kitchen 3 out 5 at best -

"Quiet location"
Nice hotel in a quiet locaton but still within reasonable walking distance to a few restuarants. Housekeeping was inconsistent as to when it was done. A few days it was quite late in the afternoon. . The hallway carpets could be cleaned more regularly especially near the underground parking. Nice private beach, dock and pool area. "A little bit of Mexico in BC!"
My wife and I only spent one night at Walnut Beach with our 2 month old baby, but we could have easily spent more time there! We had a wonderful time laying by the swimming pool in 30 degree heat, sipping on Pina Coladas delivered to us poolside, and enjoying the lakeside views. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. "Is there a pub within 300 miles?"
Too close to the Border....lot's of loud Americans waiting for 1 of the 3 cabs that serve the town. All day drinking in the sun not a good thing. Believe for a town of 5500, there is probably 1 pub that hasn't gone bust. Fortunately, we didn't find it as it was no doubt full of loud, drunk Americans
"Families only"
This place is great if you have kids, otherwise, don't expect a peaceful stay. If you do decide to go, make sure you're up at the crack of dawn to get your beach towel and lounger, they ran out when we got there and were offered card table chairs to sit on the beach.

"Great location - lots of kids"
We enjoyed our stay at the Walnut Beach Resort and even with a first floor 'mountain view' suite, we had a nice view of the lake. The room was comfortable with a good size kitchenette which was perfect for making small meals. The only thing we would've liked would've been a room with a balcony, as there was no screen on the door so we didn't want to […] leave it open for a breeze. This is definitely a family oriented resort as the pool area was filled with kids and their toys - we opted for the lake side which was much quieter. The kids 'ruled the pool' and big pool toys were scattered all around pool side. Great to have the BBQs pool side for guests to use - but there were no designated tables for eating at - as the tables were all for the restaurant, and the few umbrella tables in the pool area were always full. Lucky to get a chair pool side at any time of the day. Bring your own towels unless you like small worn out 'pool' towels as there seemed to be a shortage of the nicer ones. We didn't use any other hotel amenities or eat at the restaurant and there were no hotel special promotions to entice us n to try anything that they offered. Tip - if you're using a laptop bring your connection cable or ask for one at the front counter as then the internet service is free, but if you opt for wireless it's $11/ day - go figure! Läs mer
