I was not sure what I was getting into at this hotel since I was told the area is not the best. It is a older neighborhood on its way up. I was very pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel was for the money. Room was great and the WiFi internet was fast. OXXO just across the street, everything a person could ask for.

This hotel is not more than 2 stars. I thought the other reviews were a little mileading. The hotel is just ok... it's clean. They put me on the first floor, facing the street, I had to switch rooms it was SO noisy. The lighting (fluorescent bulbs) and design is very depressing. The staff is not particularly friendly. I would stay at this hotel only […] one night on a business trip if it was near my place of work, but defintiely not a trip for pleasure. Läs mer

The location was good and so was the cleanliness of the room. However the customer service was HUGELY lacking. Upon arrival I felt unwelcomed since the staff was playing on the computers. The rooms didn't have clocks so I never knew what time it was. I requested a wake-up call so I wouldn't miss my flight, and I was never called or given an apology. […] My room wasn't cleaned the whole day. At midnight the receptionist had a tv show BLARING, which I could hear from my room on the 2nd floor. I called and he recognized it was loud and shut it off, again without apologizing. I had to wait at time to use 1 of their 2 computers since the staff was frequently watching movies or chatting on them. Läs mer

Hotel is conveniently located for anyone wishing to see the cultural centre of the city. Safety is a must at the hotel and in the surrounding areas there is a police presence. The hotel provides a kitchen for the shy traveler. Excellent choice for the adventurer with a safe haven right in the city, to lay one's head.

Casino Plaza was worn down on the outside, not a hotel I would approach, but once you walk in i loved it. Small intimate, friendly attentive staff and I was pleasantly surprised with my room. The beds were a little hard, the ac was great, lots of space and comfortable. Would stay here again.

This hotel is quite small but has an elegant feeling. The decoration in the hotel appears very nice but upon examination, the furniture and other decor are very cheaply made. However, it looks great. The receptionists are a little snippy but the bellhops and cleaning personnel are very courteous and helpful. Less than a block away is the subway station […] "Juarez" (this is the intersection between the two subway lines). This made travel easy to and from the big flea market building San Juan de Dios and made travel to Tonala MUCH faster. Busy street about half a block away, but that noise isn't heard much. The noise that will bother some is in the hallway (even regular "quiet" people make noise and it can be heard). The doors are very pretty, but are very thin and DEFINITELY not sound proof. The safe in the room was nice--it allows you to change the combination very quickly so only you know how to get in. AC worked great. Läs mer

The Hotel was comfortable and neat place to stay. We did not spend much time in the hotel per se, since we were all over the place in Guadalajara. Great location - near downtown and in a safe neighborhood. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, and personal belongings intact. A minor thing could be that the outside environment (halls) could be heard […] inside the room. Other than that, nights were comfortable throughout. This is a well located hotel for the old city and an easy walk to the University of Guadalajara and taxi ride from the Airport. The hotel is clean has large rooms and the breakfast is adequate. The surrounding area appears safe and there are intertesting shops in the local vicinity. A value for money stay.

Upon arrival throughout my stay, the hotel provided great service! Taxi's were very easy to get just outside the front door of the hotel. Conveniently located in the outskirts of the "Centro Historico." Walking distance to the Cathedral, shopping and restaurants in Downtown. I will stay there again when I return to Guadalajara in April.

We didn't pay much for our hotel room at all, so I was expecting it to be less than nice. I was very wrong; the room was always very clean (and cleaned magnificently by the house keeping ladies), the staff was nice and friendly, and it had all the amenities you could ask for. I stayed an extra night and they were nice enough to keep my hotels.com […] rate! (they told me their usual rate and it was MUCH higher) The restaurant they have there is nice too! it had great food as well. And a nice patio to have a smoke while enjoying their great "cafe de olla" coffee. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. (the outside neighborhood is kind of sketchy, but that's what you could expect in smack-the-middle of downtown Guadalajara) Läs mer

Muy buen hotel, por fuera podria dudarse pero desde el momento de entrar se ve la diferencia en la comodidad, si volveria a quedarme.. Gracias y buen trato, nomas caminar 6-7 cuadras del centro pero muy bien..

HOTEL CON BONITOS ACABADOS Y PINTURAS , PERO CON UN ESTACIONAMIENTO MUY REDUCIDO EN EL QUE TIENES QUE DEJAR LAS LLAVES DE TU VEHICULO. LA HABITACIÓN AUNQUE BONITA ESTABA IMPREGNADA DE UN AROMA A CIGARRO. EL PISO TENÍA HUELLAS, ES DECIR, NO LO ASEARON, O SÓLO POR ENCIMITA.

Para mi, todo fue perfecto...la habitacion, el restaurante, los empleados, el lugar, y el precio. Yo seguramente me alojare en este hotel durante mi proximo viaje a Guadalajara.

Este hotel se encuentra cerca de los antros gay de la ciudad, el servicio es bueno y los mozos amables.

Very nice hotel, cheap but still clean and a good place to stay

The hotel was in the walking distance from the historic centre. The room was very clear and in the lobby there were free internet. It was worth it's costs, the only minus thing was the area - there were a lot of bars in which we saw only men waiting to get in...

El hotel por afuera y en las fotos no dice mucho. Pero cuando entras el lugar esta todo ambientado en forma "antigua" pero con muebles y puertas perfectamente lustradas, muy buenas las habitaciones. Ademas posee una excelente ubicación, muy bueno el estado. Costo beneficio muy recomendable.
