Good location, clean big and quiet room, OK breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Location OK, close to airport and OK to Portland. Extreme value for money - unless you expect 5-star luxary for budget money

Vi stannade två nätter och är jättenöjda, mycket prisvärt. Tryggt gratis garage, varm frukost, pool, fräsha rum,ca 20-30 min med bil från Boston. Personalen var trevlig och korrekt. Rummet vi fick först hade lite dålig intenetteckning vilket jag påpekade varpå vi erbjöds ett annat utan några som helst probem. För priset som vi betalad per natt så är detta hotell det absolut bästa och mest prisvärda boendet vi haft under våran kust til kust resa.

Our stay at this hotel was great and exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect weekend stay. My children enjoyed it and were very thankful for the time they had there. I generally like Homewood Suites, and this one was great! A little further from Portland than I expected, but still in a very convenient location. My only complaint, and it is a very minor one, was that the kitchen could have been equipped a bit better (and is at other Homewood locations I've stayed at). While checking in, I had a guest come down and […] ask for a colander, which is usually in the room, but the hotel did not have one on the entire premises for them. "Best stay yet at a Homewood Suites"
We stayed at several Homewood Suites on our recent trip and this was the best. Clean, nice convenient location and the best food we've ever had at a HS. "I Will Stay Again"
Although I was pretty comfortable and the staff was good, the hotel itself is in such much needed updating as far as their rooms go. I recently stayed here with my wife and two young children. The corner room we were in was clean and had plenty of space for the 4 of us. Most convenient location, near everything. I found the room very comfortable and inviting. It was only one night but if it had been longer I would have enjoyed every minute. We travel extensively and this is one of the best values and overall hotel experiences we have had. We usually stay only at 5 star hotels so I was a little apprehensive when booking. So glad that I went ahead. Front desk staff were friendly and competent. Cleanliness of grounds, room and public areas were top notch. "A few small changes would make a big difference."
Overall, I had a pretty good stay. We had a very hard time regulating the temperature in the room. It was either too hot or too cold all the time. We eventually turned it off and slept with no heat overnight. Also, it was so loud when it was running that it was annoying. "Homewood Suites in Maine- Didn't meet expectations"
I got a room for the weekend so my girlfriend and I could have a nice getaway romantic weekend away. We enjoyed my overall stay here but there were a few things that I didn't like about it. We stayed in a room where the sink's garbage disposal didn't work so when we ran the dishwasher the sink backed up and was really nasty. We called the front desk […] to ask for extra towels for our room and we had to call back a half hour later because they didn't bring any the first time we called. My family (kids aged 3, 9, and 11, hubby and I) stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting the Portland area. We chose this hotel over all others mainly because of the fact that there is a stovetop and fridge in the room, giving the opportunity to prepare meals. With three kids and a tight budget, going out for meals was not really an option. […] The kitchen in the room was great! Just enough for us to prepare some light, easy meals. As for the rest of the room, we had a king-sized bed, a fold out couch, and requested a roll-away cot for my son. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were awesome. The shower was HUGE, and everything was spotless! The Neutrogena products were much appreciated! Only 2 slightly negative things I would have to say. The first was the temperature fluctuations in the room. If we turned the thermostat down it was like the air conditioner was on. If we turned it up, it was blowing heat. We had to keep adjusting and readjusting....who knows, could have been user error! The second thing was breakfast. I was slightly disappointed in the offerings. The first day we were there, they had mini omelets with cheese, bacon and potatoes, along with all the othere standard fare--bagels, cereal, oatmeal. Not too bad, but hard to keep hot. The next day was breakfast sandwiches and tater tots, which were awful. My son, however, loved the cheerios and went back for 3 bowls. "Grateful"
My husband and I stayed for a week ar HS in Portland ME and it was really the most pleasant, clean and accomodating motel stay we have experienced. What was especially nice were the complamentary breakfast and dinners provided to guests. We had a difficult time with connecting flight out of Philly so by the time we checked in we were both worn out and […] hungry.To our delight, dinner was just down the hall, and suddenly our vacation took a turn for the better. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. It was only about 10 minutes away from where the action was. It was great to have the one bedroom so we could still be up after our son went to bed. We stated here for two nights toward the end of our honeymoon. It was great to have access to the pool and hot tub which were open whenever we wanted to go. The suite was furnished with a full refridgerator, cooktop and microwave which was great because we could save the cost of eating out. We normally stay at a Marriott hotel but decided that we would give Homewood a try. We were extremely impressed. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was true to its name...HOME like.
