Requested refreshment set of clean towels and turn-down service (which housekeeping confirmed they did provide) prior to going out to dinner. Returned to room 6 hours later, used towels still on floor and, of course, no turn down service. I loved my stay it was wonderful. I would highly recomend family, friends and even strangers to go stay at L'Auberge Hotel and book their stay through Hotels.com. It was the best Birthday stay I've ever had.

had a live band concert playing around pool so they made everyone with kids get out of water but everyone who was drinking and partying was allowed to stay. we only swam 10 minutes when they asked us to get out at 5pm. the music was so loud we couldn't sleep, some of the staff was extremely rude. was not a family place at all. so we left without spending […] the night! it was like a frat house! I thought I booked a non-smokers room. It smelled & gave me a headache everyday. The beds were very comfortable w/fresh sheets. I loved that u had fresh flowers thru out the hotel.

Very enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. All the hotel and casino personel are so friendly and accomodating. The beach and boardwalk patio are beautiful!!

overall great. Only thing negative is that I asked specifically for double beds and got a king with a rollout. I was with two other ladies and one had to sleep on the rollout and was very uncomfortable all night. Other than that I would definitely come back. I have been there several times before and had no problem.

Our group spent an amazing afternoon at the adults pool, then we had a fabulous dinner at the Ember Grille and a fun night at th casino. I'm glad that the hotel is only a short trip from Houston!

Overall my stay was great. However L'Auberge is very expensive. The quality of the resort is great but there are some things that are just not worth the money like the Hotel rooms. Our room was close to 200 dollars but there was not mini microwave and no mini fridge. Things like this bother me because I've stayed at hotels less fancy such as Best western […] and Hotel 6 and they at least have microwaves in them. I was very happy overall with our stay! However my husband and I have a gluten allergy and the staff was not that helpful in finding foods that we could eat. I would recommend that the hotel consider making menu items that make it easier for guest with food allergies.

Loved it! We never had to leave the resort - great variety of eateries, shopping, leisure activities, etc. all in one place! Perfect for adults and kids!

We had a great trip. My two boys really enjoyed the lazy river. We ate dinner at the Ember Grille and it was fantastic. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Beautiful hotel and casino. Not a place I would recommend for a good night's sleep. Hotel rooms do not block out hallway and adjacent room noise. Bring your ear plugs.

I stayed here on two separate nights, not back to back. The first night was a just okay. The second stay, I was in a handicapped room. It was amazingly large and comfortable. The shower drain did not drain and the water ran into the hallway, but after three maintenance men arrived, the problem was resolved and housekeeping was efficient with clean up. […] My second night stay was much improved. I think this may be the best that Lake Charles has to offer, although I still find it expensive and possibly over-priced. Läs mer

Not worth the price of a night's stay. Hotel staff not engaging although the casino staff was. My non-smoking room smelled of stale cigarette oder. There was no refrigerator in the room. No free internet. Had to pay extra for the internet each day added to the room charge.

We had a wonderful time.... There was a mix up on our room. The reservation was for 2 queen size beds, we ended up with a king size bed. Hotels.com was called and the change was made. A little inconvenience but it didn't ruin the trip. The casino / hotel is large and has everything you can imagine. Our main highlight was the lazy river and the pools. […] They have an adult pool where children under 21 aren't allowed. They had a live DJ who was playing awesome music. My husband and I weren't going to do anything in particular this year, but then he insisted we do something so we chose L'Auberge in Lake Charles. Hubby wanted a couples massage and we scheduled one and it was awesome! In regards to the hotel itself, everything was great; we had a wonderful time; our room was nice, staff was friendly and my favorite […] place was "Desserts." :-) . . . we had a minor glitch that was quickly resolved by maintenance in our bathroom. The room looked amazing so did the hotel. Everyone was nice and helpful. The only gripe I have at all about anything was the temperature in the room. It would not get cold at all, I sleep in the cold and the AC just wouldnt get there. Other than that absolutely loved it.

Very nice hotel, but a couple of "service" issues I found annoying. The biggest complaint is that check out time unlike most hotels is 11. When I asked for a late check-out they stated that 12 was the best they could do. Also places that still charge for internet are a pet peeve.
