Fun neighborhood for restaurant, street festivals and shopping. The service was very helpful, hotel pretty - breakfast was very delicious - and setting very comfortable. Upstairs a deck and sitting room - very lovely and relaxing.

I loved my stay here. My thoughts are that the management here must be really great. All of the staff really seemed to be happy working there. From check-in to check-out, everyone I talked to was really pleasant and helpful. Staff were eager to help me with everything from arranging a massage in-room, to getting a bottle of wine. Especially enjoyed […] the morning breakfast, the friendliness of the waitress, and that she remembered my order every morning. The ONLY unfortunate thing about this stay, was that my room was on the first floor, and the rooms face a central courtyard. (The hotel gladly offered to upgrade me for more money, but I was on a budget). This made for a rather dark room, so if like me, you like natural light to wake up, I suggest you pay for the higher up rooms, or ones that face the outside. There's also a lovely roofdeck to escape to for chilling out. Location is great, close to the "Plaza Italia" subway stop, on a beautiful tree lined street near many restaurants. Läs mer

Just returned from a 3-night, post-cruise stay at the Vain. We found it to be just as advertised, very clean, comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff. Our only complaint would be about the bathroom vanity lighting. It is all from overhead and thus provides dismal illumination for shaving or putting on makeup. The hotel is in a great area, in Palermo Soho, and is surrounded by lovely bars and restaurants but is nice and quiet. The hotel staff were really nice and helpful, we used Vain as our base while we travelled to Patagonia and Uruguay and they looked after half our luggage in between stays at the hotel which was such a godsend. They also organised all […] our transfers to the airport and allowed us a late checkout on our last night there. The only comment I have is that we stayed in their basic rooms the nights when we were just flying in and straight out again and in a senior (most expensive) room for our last 2 nights and the senior room was so much better so definitely worth paying the extra. One of the basic rooms we stayed at was very, very dark and faced reception and the courtyard so we couldn't leave the shutters open to get a bit more light in. Läs mer

The staff were simply amazing throughout my whole stay. Everyone always had a smile on their face and could help with any need. The location was perfect on the edge of Palermo which is perfect for bars and restaurants. Rooms were simple, clean and felt homely.

Perfect. When we got there we asked for a larger room as we had a very cheap rate and they obliged for an additional charge which was very fair. I would recommend highly and will stay here again . Breakfast is included and it is wonderful - full cooked breakfast, with fruit. Staff are very friendly and helpful, made restaurant recommendations and reservations, gave helpful directions and advice on use of subways etc. Only strange thing was the bathroom basin had a very large faucet that came over the basin and made it difficult to wash your face […] or brush your teeth. Hotel is a few blocks from Palermo soho, great neighborhood for good trendy restaurants and shopping. Also close to zoo, parks and subway station to get around. I liked this staying in this location over Recoletta or Puerto Madero. Best breakfast we had during the trip– great choices and presentation is outstanding. Free welcome drink was also a nice […] touch. Staff was very helpful. Guest lounge on the top floor was a comfortable place to relax if you need to check out before your flight. Room was normal size, shower and bathroom were a little awkward. Great little boutique hotel. Not as spacious as a 5 star hotel by any means, but the staff was great, the room was nice (albeit boutique sized), the outdoor space was pleasant, the breakfast was nice. We have stayed there previously and a couple years later we were happy to find that it was even better than we rememberd.

Location is safe, far from downtown (Centro), but there is subway. Also plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars close by. Excellnet staff - friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. The people could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Whenever we had a question, they worked to get us an answer. The welcoming drink was a pleasant surprise as well as the breakfast (I have discovered I love dulce de leche). The only areas I would work on, and this may be due to the heat wave with power outages, would be the AC kept getting turned […] off at night and I had to call the front desk to reset. The other area is that there was the begining of mold near the shower from the moisture. A little KIlz paint would probably solve that problem. Overall the hotel is very good, and situated in a convenient area of Buenos Aires. I gave the 5 rating due the assistance they provided when both mine and my girlfriends wallets were stolen on the subte at the same time. The guys on the desk spoke great English which was very helpful and also helped us contact various people in the UK and in Argentina […] - which has quite complicated area codes by the way. The clerks & restaurant servers were extremely helpful and spoke very good English. When it rained we had to walk on a wet and slippery area which was a concern. It would have been great to have a hook in the bathroom to hang clothes and a larger trash basket.

We stayed for 7 nights and we had an amazing experience at Vain hotel. The hotel is located at the heart of Palermo Soho, the best area for shopping and dining. We got upgraded because of a problem with the heating system so we were really lucky, the room was quite spacious and beautifully kept. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel and the stuff are very nice and welcomming. Service is good and breakfast great.Unfortunately, and this is the only point I have to mention, the rooms are very cold in winter. I asked to increase the room temperature and was told that it is 22 degree celcius (72 Fahrenheit) but my feeling was like 5 degrees celcius (10 degree Fahrenheit)  […] less. Läs mer

The hotel is nice; clean, well decorated, good location. But it felt a little soul-less, like everyone had left the previous day leaving only a skeleton staff and no guests. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The common areas were clean and well maintained but the rooms were a little tired and in need of painting. The roof terrace was pleasant and a good place to relax away from the heat of the streets.

New modern hotel situated within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars in Palermo, a subway station, and the botanical gardens, zoo and a little further away, the parks of Recoletta. In general, the hotel was fine. Not great but ok. Clean, big rooms and comfortable beds. It was a bit cold in the rooms and the breakfast was simple but ok. A detail that we dislike is that the receptionist was not so nice. Except the day that we arrived, when he was really helpful, the rest of our stay he was chatting on skype permanently. I liked everything about this hotel. The staff was superb, the location was great and the rooms were large with jacuzzi tubes. Even breakfast was individually ordered. The went the extra mile in every regard.
