The slightly smaller rooms with queen beds on higher floors are better values, with incomparably better views, than the slightly larger rooms with king beds on lower floors. This is not a "beach hotel" or "hotel with a view" (unless you're above the 20th floor), but its location and overall quality more than make up for that. It's a short walk to shops, restaurants (try Vit's on the corner--great for breakfast, lunch or dinner), and the beach. Found this hotel for a great rate, and thought ok when I get there it will be just another hotel with nice pictures. But the pictures on the site don't do this place justice. It was a great Hotel, and the Staff are very friendly. You get the feel that you are at a 5 Diamond Resort.

This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Hawaii. It's an excellent location conveniently located walking distance to all the shops, bars and restaurants. Furthermore, the rooms are clean, tidy and well maintained. Most importantly the staff or friendly and helpful.

Vacation resort quality rooms at moderate hotel prices in the center of Waikiki. What a pleasure!

My wife and I stayed there for 7 nights. Hotel is very good for the price. Good looking rooms and comfortable. Fast internet. Generally friendly and helpful staff. it provides eating utensils and a ref. neighborhood is quiet, far away from the busy section of waikiki. the beach is 5 blocks away, a little bit far. International market is maybe 8 blocks […] away. convention center is less than 10 blocks. still walking distance from all those areas. If you prefer a convenient distance from the beach then this is not the hotel for you. The staff was fabulous. Newly redecorated. Loved the stuido with kitchenette. Didn't have a microwave when we checked in, but one was delivered as soonn as we asked for one. Very clean. We requested & were given a corner room, we could see both the ocean and the canal from the lanei.

I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It was very clean and all the employees were very helpful and Aaron is an awesome person that makes you feel very welcomed. Apart from the cleaniness which is my prioryty was the great location the hotel is in. Evrything is walking distance and for my boyfriend and I that enjoy walking was great. We had a very comfortable stay. Good to be in the quiet area just a walk to the main action. The steakhouse on the corner excellent food and value for money. Staff at hotel welcoming and very helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay

Stayed her 4 days and we really liked it. Its on the canal and the views were not bad from our 8th floor corner room (city and mountains). The hotel lobby is very upscale as are the common areas. The rooms have recently been redone and are very nice. They are painting the outside so your balcony may not be usuable during business hours. The Studios are nothing but a single room with a small area with sink and refrigerator. The room is realy small and there is no space. I was given a queen size bed which was not good for me+wife+3 year old. The staff were all friendly.

We were delightfully surprised at the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. We stayed on the 25th floor and the room was perfect. Immaculate, recently renovated hotel for a great price in the Waikiki area. Super clean room, comfy bed and free internet. Because of this BEWARE of the concierge service. THEY ARE SELLING TIMESHARES. It is more their job to sell you a timeshare than it is to help you find a place to eat dinner. Its OK to just tell them nicely you are not interested in their offers. If you are a savvy traveler you don't need to speak with the concierge service, you can help yourself to finding activities on your own with the use of their free internet. Very nice pool area which was full of rowdy crowds one day (labor day weekend) and another day a nice quite family. Pros: Very nice hotel and location near the tourist neighborhood of Wakiki. Cons: They didn't plan so well, and the room I was in had exterior painting in process during the day. I came home one evening and there was actually a huge garbage bag taped to the glass door for the balcony. I highly recommend this place if you want to relax and sleep well so you can be up at 5am and go go go...its peaceful, the street has trees in corner Kuhio and feels good when you go back after dinner or shopping to the max. The view for me was the Ala wai canal, this view brings mixtures of emotions as you also enjoy the mountainview. you can walk […] at night in the canal where people jog or walk their dogs at sunset. If you want action all you do is saunter unto Saratoga or beachwalk for a 10 minute walk and hello... its all there. At the Wyndham the wi-fi is fast, free use of computers in media centre + printing in a business like setting but with tv and lounges for the little ones to watch a bit while you print out your itinerary. they clean your room everyday, fresh towels, kona coffee and wait for this... the kitchenette has a blender, toaster and coffee maker. So...you save by having brekky on the dining table in your room, rather than on the bed, then head off and explore. There is a pool, its small but it has a good feel to it - its not grandiose like the hilton per se. hello, there is wifi even in the sauna. i chose this hotel bec it was cheaper and bec of peoples review re peace and quiet, i stayed at 2 hotels - 1 for action and one for variety. Valet staff was awesome at the resort, unfortunately concierge and front desk didn't follow suit. Front desk was very unaccomadating and concierge staff only wanted to sell us on time-share-type-deals in the hotel.

The hotel seems well maintained, my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful and considerate and went out of their way to make my stay quite enjoyable. The surrounding area was generally nice and there was alot within easy walking distance. Well worth the price, Hotel was under some renovations but the room was clean and comfortable. Short of a microwave everything was excellent. Hotel staff was very friendly. Being somewhat off the beaten path made it much quieter. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

This hotel has become a Wyndam resort property-----so previous reviews (two years ago) were written before this takover and are not reflective of present high level of service. I didn't want to be in the noisey crowded beach front, so this was perfect for me and about half the price. I stayed in both the Japanese studios (huge wooden floored twin […] bedded suite) and regular room. Both had good appointments and quality throughout. Don't know where the microwaves are ---but things are still being done in the rennovation. Staff is great. You will be greeted by the folks who would be delighted if you bought a time share. They don't push as you are a paying cutomer. I didn't take them up on any offers. Neighborhood is ten minute walk to beaches ----but that's not a problem for access to the water. For the price you pay for. I really like the most is the people and the service they were really friendly and helpful, our AC stop working for one night but manage so they refund us for one night stay. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in to the Wyndham. Everything in the room was brand new, the bed/bedding were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and accomodated the few requests i had. The staff was great. The only thing I would have liked to have for convenience was a microwave oven. They had all the kitchen gear (oven mitts etc.) but nothing to cook on. The other thing was they are remodeling and I am not crazy about seeing all the boxes of equipment and appliances in the front lobby. This place was recently remodeled and my room was very cute and clean. Little Kitchenette, really nice touches. Great furnishings and very reasonable cost. I loved it the only drawback was that it was not on the beach, about 10 minute walk to the beach.

The hotel is newly renovated so that is a plus. Brand new interiors and furniture. Very clean, and very friendly staff. It is modernized as well so you feel like you're in a brand new hotel. The only thing I don't recommend is paying $9 for the breakfast buffet as you can go somewhere else and get a much better meal. The staff at this Hotel is GREAT!! we enjoyed our stay The rooms are nice but the Elevators, Laundry, and Media Room are still being remodeled. The buffet breakfast is OK for the price. This beautiful property, while still finishing up their remodel, was a delight. My window wall afforded a view of the AlaWai canal and a peak at the Pacific. I can't praise the staff enough-concierge, housekeeping and valet went above and beyond. My studio had toaster, coffeemaker and blender - all brand new. With a non-brand name hotel I expected a standard appearance, but upon arrival at the hotel there was only valet parking and the lobby was very nice. I was disappointed that the hotel pool closed early at 7pm, but everything else was good. Another negative was the small TV in our room.

Parts of the hotel had been remodeled, as part of the recent Wyndam purchase. However our room had not been one of the fortunate updates. The lobby and common areas were very beautiful and the staff was friendly and accomidating. Ok for the Money, But the hallways need restoring with new carpet and Wallpaper/paint. I went out early in the morning and returned in the afternoon with the room as I left it. I left off my purchases and left again. I found a housekeeper at the extreme end of the Hall and requested some clean towels. When I returned late in the evening the room was […] finally cleaned up. we did not want to spend a whole lot of money because we were only stopping over. We chose this hotel because of the reviews. So I feel I owe this back. I was very happy with our stay there. The staff went out of the way to make our stay pleasant for us. We were surpised at friendly everyone was. The price may be three stars and maybe the hotel building is three plus (very small pool and no hot tub) but the staff is a five star! Our room was dusty and the air conditioner didn't really cool down our room - which is really bad after a day in the sun and humidity - you want to cool off somewhere and the room didn't offer it for us. The staff was good. The one thing that was not mentioned when we made our reservations - valet parking only. The fees were not listed and it came as […] a bit of a surprise to us. Had to pay additional $65.00 for a three-day stay just for parking and tips to the valet person. Buffet breakfast - stay away! Cheap and not very good!
