I had a very nice vacation at this resort. The hotel/resort is marked with three stars which I don't think the standard room lives up to. Only cold/lukewarm water in the shower for instance. But it is nice and clean with a nice garden and a private beach with sunbeds. The atmosphere at the hotel is a very familiar and you almost feel like you are visiting friends. And if there wasn't for an incident I would've said that the personal was very friendly and helpful. But I went on a snorkling tour and they forgot to make sure that I had any equipment. When it was discovered no excuses or attempts to solve the problem was made. Talking to the manager afterwards he was furious that it had happened. On the other hand I was leaving early in the morning, 5 am, and they arranged so I got breakfast before I left which was unexpected from my side. If you are looking for a nice relaxing and quiet vacation this is a good place to go.

Our pickup from the airport was perfectly arranged by the hotel.The room was nice. The service was excellent. All of the staff were very nice and extremly helpful in any way. Red Coconut is perfectly situated at Boatstation 2, directly at the beach. It's restaurant serves very good meals to a descent price. The only negativ I can say about this place, and thath's maybe because we are no Youth any more, is that the bar played discomusic in the evening. And there was a lot of shauting and laughter from the bar until midnight when it closed. But I would gladly stay there again.

We stayed at Surfside for 5 nights, we had a pleasant stay whilst there and I fully reccomend this place for couples/families who wants some piece and quiet but still in walking distance to restaurants/shopping district. The best thing with Surfside are their staff, they are incredibly nice and helpful. We arrived on the 15th of December (my birthday) and the hotel prepared the room for my arrival as per my partners wishes. I received flowers, delicious cake, wine and free massage voucher. Surfside has their own Spa, the Boracay massage is the best massage I have ever had! The breakfast was great, their crepes were amazing and it's just a step from the beach. I loved every minute staying there, the only downside is that they don't have a pool - but hey, who needs that when you have one of the most amazing beaches in front of you? Thank you Surfside for making our holiday the best!

Bra standard och fantastisk personal. Mycket prisvärt. Hotellet ligger dock inte vid stranden men erbjuder fri transfer till stranden en gång i timman ända till kl 22.00. Liten men välskött pool. Fina och fräscha rum med fina toaletter. Mycket bra städning. Perfekt hotell om man inte har som krav att bo på stranden.

Detta fantastiska lilla hotell ligger visserligen en kort promenad från stranden ( ca 5 min) men de har allt annat! Vi bodde i ett superier rum, vilket kan rekommenderas eftersom man får en egen veranda med hängmatta och soffa. Frukosten är bra och servisen utmärkt!! Vid poolen fanns det alltid lediga solstolar där man kunde avnjuta en frukttaltik eller […] fn drink. Hotellet har ett spa som jag varmt kan rekommendera! "Lovely hotel in a somewhat dark neighborhood"
We stayed at this hotel for six nights and had a great time. Let's start with the good things: the hotel is quite large with a nice swimming pool in the middle of the garden. Our room was facing the swimming pool, so we had no problems with the surrounding traffic. The room was large, nice bed, tv with lots of american and international channels, nice […] bathroom and lots of shelves to keep your things on. There was also an in-room safety box, which we highly appreciated. The room was clean even though we constantly kept bringing in sand from the beach. We tried out the breakfast buffet a couple of times and have no complaints, there was a large variety of different foods and drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. Housekeeping tried waking us up early on our first day, but they learned that we like to sleep longer so they didn't come knocking anymore. The bad things: the aircon was probably slightly faulty and was very very loud. We had to turn it off during the night to be able to sleep. The hotel is not located directly on White Beach, you actually have to walk for a few minutes. We didn't mind because we wanted to have a hotel with a swimming pool, but the street leading to White Beach was always very dark and smelly. We didn't feel unsafe, but uncomfortable. Especially after rain when there were big puddles all over and you had to look down all the time to try to avoid them. It might be good to carry a lamp or torch of some kind. It's situated in Station 2, in between 1 and 3, which turned out to be perfect for us - since we liked to visit all 3. The Best Western Tropics was pleasantly surprising! We didn't know what to expect but had a lovely stay for 6 days - the staff were always so friendly and always nearby to serve you. We had a room on the top floor (the stairs were annoying but good exercise) The room was exactly what we needed, modern, comfortable, and the air conditioning was really […] good! The beds were comfortable and the room was always cleaned up every day. There was also a tv with many channels. The bathroom was modern and really nice. The pool is lovely to lie beside and relax and also we enjoyed swimming in it. The breakfast was buffet, quite a variety of food every morning. The location is good because it is not noisy and it's a good walk to D'mall and anything you need is in walking distance or you can get a tricycle if you don't want to walk. The Hotel was in great compound and has a great variety of rooms to suit your purpose. My only concern is that some of the de-luxe rooms are too close to the road and you couldn't even open your balcony door/window because of the noise. The toilet also kept getting blocked after using it a couple of times during the day and we didn't get moved to a […] new room till our final day in Boracay. But when we did get moved to a different part of the hotel the view was amazing and I am glad this hotel is a compound on its owm but only took 3-5 minutes walk to get to white beach and all the ammeniites it has to offer. I stayed with my wife for 13 days. Overall we happy on this stay except upon check in we had several difficulties such as room was not ready and not the one we requested. We have booked for deluxe king size bed and instead they gave us a superior after 3 hours waiting and discussing we got deluxe but with 2 separate beds. Best Western Boracay Resort has its good ammeities and rooms are clean. There only fall back is the wifi connectivity is really bad. Unless you are planned to be totally 'cut-off' on connectivity and solely on vacation-this is a perfect place and resort. we've stayed at 6 different hotels in Boracay now and this one ranks #2 on our list. The rooms are small but nice enough and make you feel a bit like you are staying in a tree house in the jungle, even though you are only 5mins away from the beach. The staff is friendlier than in other places and the food (breakfast) was good. It's a fairly small hotel […] so the pool isn't great, and they don't offer room service but with so many great restaurants very close by you don't wanna have food in the room anyway. "Excellent hotel for the price"
I stayed 8 nights in this hotel. I cant praise it enough. There was some mix up initially with my airport pick up but that was the only problem i encountered. The room i stayed in was clean, large and comfortable, it was cleaned every day . The hotel is like a little oasis around a nice inviting pool. The gardens are lovely and well maintained. Breakfast […] was very good with a great selection. Free wifi was handy although a bit slow from time to time. I did eat at the restaraunt a couple of times. I cant rave about the food but it was ok and value for money. The hotel is centrally located. About 5 mins walk to the beach and then you can head right to DMall or for a quieter stroll/day turn left and head down towards station 3. There are plenty of good value restaraunts close by on the beach. Across the road is a little supermarket which comes in very handy. Like any beach resort town, anything you buy at the shops on the beach can be at a greatly increased price, best you stock up at the supermarket.. Staff all very friendly with warm welcomming smiles. English is widely spoken and understood by all the staff. We spent 5n here and overall we were v.happy with the hotel. The location is excellent. It is a very short walk to the beach, there is a discount store/supermarket across the road (Price Rite) and an ATM just a minute away. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly. Great Happy Hour deals too :D My ONLY neative point is small (and a little […] fussy) is that the room was a little 'tired'. The furniture was the daggy cane variety and detracted from the room. But the biggest down-fall was the air-con. It was a hole in the wall variety that even on full (all day and night) only just managed to take the edge of the heat. To make it worse, the housekeeping staff would turn it down when they cleaned the room. The pool is not large by any means BUT it is cold, has beautiful gardens, was not busy (most people at beach I guess) and has a gradual entry at one end which made it good for my 4yo. The Best Western Boracay Tropics Hotel is a modestly priced, well-run hotel which is unfortunately located on Boracay's "Main Road". This means that there is road noise 24/7 because of the non-stop parade of trikes which move tourists from one end of the island to the other. Indeed, (Boracay is a victim of its' own success because of the unchecked, […] over-development which has reduced Boracay's appeal as an idyllic island paradise. The "Boracay Tropics" Hotel, as the locals call it, also suffers from the fact it is sent back away from the beach. It is only a five-minute walk to the beach, however, you will be dodging motorized vehicles which will emit carbon monoxide exhaust for you to breath the entire entire way to the beach. For all its' hype, Boracay's streets lack sidewalks. If I wanted to choke on smog, I could just visit Manila. Changed hotels from Crowne Plaza Prince because of better reviews. Cost an extra 20 USD or so per night but was not really worth it. The breakfast was only marginally better but I still wouldn't eat it. It's about 5 minutes or so walk to the beach. Decent pool area with some grass. A bit dated. Would not stay again unless it were a better rate. My family and I recently stayed at the Boracay Tropics hotel and from the moment we walked in it was just perfect. Friendly,helpful and smiling staff,all willing to go the extra yard to make our stay memorable. The hotel is just a 3 minute tricycle ride from D Mall in Boracay (where the action is) and the tricycle ride itself is part of the appeal of […] the place,so, no hardship there. With a buffet breakfast,beautiful gardens and pool,wonderfully comfortable and well appointed rooms,we thought it was just perfect. The staff get ten out of ten from us. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to my friends and I intend to go back there myself.From an Australian perspective Boracay is almost an undiscovered treasure. Hotel is located about 3 minutes from White Beach. Be prepared that the walk is not very scenic, though. It is down a potholed brick road that floods when it rains, and you'll be dodging tricycles and motorbikes. However, that description applies to most of the hotels near White Beach. There are lots of restaurants, etc., within easy walking distance. […] It's also easy to hire a tricycle at the the hotel's front entrance. These will take you anywhere on the island for a few dollars. The hotel provided a convenient airport transfer from Caticlan, which is a good idea if you've never been to Boracay before. For the price we paid, our room was ok. We had a pool view, but some of the rooms overlook what is literally a huge dirt pile. Breakfast was also good for the price we paid. The spa staff were very friendly and professional. You can get a cheaper massage on the beach, but it's more relaxing to get it at the hotel since it's air conditioned and quieter. The front desk staff was friendly, unless you did not follow their policies precisely. For instance, you have to leave a deposit for beach towels. Fine, but they got very upset that we didn't return our receipt with the towels. It seems unreasonable to ask people to carry a receipt around the beach all day. We also didn't have our Expedia printout when we checked in, and they were very annoyed, even though I had my credit card, ID, and itinerary number. Hotel is in a great location. Close to the beach and shopping. Massage is cheaper outside the hotel and is great! We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and they were very accomodating to special dietary needs of our group.
