Helt ok hotell som dock verkar bita sig kvar i 70'talet vad beträffar utseendet på mitt rum. Sköna sängar, schysst pool och toppenläge.

Mycket fin lobby och ett helt ok pool område. Rummet var lite gammalmodigt med heltäckningsmatta och omoderna möbler. Fin utsikt från rummet över Petronas Tower drog upp betyget. Mycket bra läge nära många restauranger köpcentra och 5 min gångväg till monorailen. Läget och priset gör att jag gärna kommer tillbaka.

Friendly and fast check in service but waited for 30 minutes for check out despite 1 receptionist (male) are very free standing at the counter, the poor lady front office agent is doing all the checked out alone. This has been my 3rd stay with this hotel but the check out services never improved - slow check out. After check in hotel, we found the door lock was not in function and requested for room change. When we was given another room, the same problem happened. Buffet breakfast not so good and less choice. Receptionist were not well trained. Hotel at good location.

This is 3rd stay of this hotel. Always good value for money. Close proximity to everything - food, bars, shopping etc, walking distance. Breakfast is fantastic - queues for freshly made roti and omlettes (yummy). Pool is in good condition with sun access! Also a gym that is usable! Rooms are spacious. Can't really fault for the price

My third stay and as usual appreciated the friendly staff, tidy rooms, good location, reasonable rates and the option of included breakfast and Wi-FI. Unfortunately my shower had a badly leaking hose which affected the water flow, and the light above the basin was out, making shaving difficult. The reception staff are incompetant, trying to charge us twice despite hard copy of prepayment. The first room we were allocated had a toilet which was blocked with human faeces - very welcoming. It took reception 30 minutes to resolve that issue. The second room was tired and overdue for redecoration - in line with the rest of the hotel which is very […] tired. We chose the Royale Bintang for our visit to Kyala Lumpur based mostly on the location, the breakfast buffet, and the price. The location of the hotel was decent. It was a short walk towards the Berjaya Times Square to get to a monorail station. You could also walk towards the H&M store (LOT 10) to reach another station. There were plenty of restaurants […] and bars around, however, they seemed a little over-priced. Despite that, we still had a lot of fun hanging out near the hotel a few times. As far as the breakfast buffet, let me preface this by saying that I love free breakfast, especially buffets. As far as breakfast buffets go, this particular one was a 7 out of 10. The highlights include the omelets, the bread, the sausage, and the fried potatoes. I know those things are simple, but they are often poorly executed and I appreciate when they are well done. The downside includes the coffee (way too strong) and the service (often seemed annoyed when asked for assistance). With all those things considered, the price seemed appropriate. We did not expect 5 star accommodations, so we were not disappointed with the hotel overall. The room was clean and well stocked with toiletries. The room attendant was very nice and helpful (a complete reversal from the buffet service). The bed was comfortable, but nothing spectacular. There was a very limited amount of TV channels to choose from (8 channels total), and the reception was sketchy. Also, the room had poor lighting. Läs mer

Stayed at this hotel for 9 nights with my young family and I was suprised the hotel had upgraded us to a family room without asking. Very impressed and would definetly return next year!! The hotel is in a great spot and very comfortable despite getting a bit 'old' in terms of the physical structure. However, the rooms are very well maintained. What impressed me most was the uniformly friendly and helpful staff. When new clients pushed in front of us prior to checkout, the desk manager instructed them to get to the back of the queue. […] Very rude… and the manager's action was appreciated as the civil and professional thing to do. Pricey for no reason. Perhaps other than the location. Pick a 5 star to stay in instead. You'll have to pay USD 30-100 more depending on which hotel you choose but it'll be worth paying the extra money for. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Hotel is located in convenient location next to shops and restaurants which is a major advantage. Hotel and room furnishings are a bit old and my toilet did not flush properly. However, the convenience of location can offset those disadvantages.

Fantastic location if you want to go shopping on the street or in the centres. Great restaurants and hawker stands. Hotel needs some maintenance and quicker service to room needs would be better.

Some of the rooms are very nice but our second one smelled a bit musty and the sheets had a rip in some of them, Could have been a bit cleaner. Staff were very good though and gave us a late check out so that was great. Alot of great shoping around our area though and plenty of places to eat.

When i got there to check in after an hour's flight journey and a 2 hours of taking the bus and monorail to get to the hotel, i expect my check-in process to be smooth. but arriving at the check-in counter, there was just 1 person queuing in front of me. the counter staff was so slow in handling that i stood there waiting for half an hour. Already a […] bad start. upon checking in, the corridor was quite dimly lit and our room was allocated to the extreme end. room was acceptable and view that overlooks the congested roads. for a 3.5 stars hotel the cleanliness was still alright. but i could hear my neighbour next door talking and snoring. :/ trip from hotel to airport was quoted a RM90, trip took 45mins. it was quite a good experience considering it was just a 10mins walk to the town area and masseurs were nearby, and breakfast was good. good recommendation for my company's stopover for business travels. Staff at the ground floor are excellent and very helpful. This hotel may have been considered 4 star once, but that was before I was born. Inside the hallways, it is looking decidely worn and tatty. The rooms are definitely unhygenic and I fear that the benches have never been wiped down. This is a good example of how to get sick but merely staying […] in a hotel. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. Fruits were only watermelon and papaya. We had to go through three trays of glasses, just to find a clean one. Definitely would not recommend. Läs mer

We stayed at the Royale Bintang for 3 nights it was great stay, the staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was pleasant and clean but could do with a coat of apint and the wall paper is quite old, I would go back to the Roayal Bintanh again..

Pleasant hotel with friendly staff, no problems with staff understanding English at all. Pool area was kept spotlessly clean and remained so constantly throughout the day, a relaxing place to escape the streets of KL and always seemed to catch a slight breeze! Very close to the KL Monorail stations at IMBI and Bukit Bintang ( both less than 2 mins walk) […] and in the heart of the shopping areas - Times Square (2 mins walk), Pavillion (5 mins Walk) and Lot 10 (2 mins walk). Next street to the hotel was Tingkat Tong Shin Street street resturants galore serving a wide variety of Malayian Food, always seemed extremely busy with both locals and tourists. We read the reviews and asked for a quiet room with a Petronas / Menera view - room we got had this (over a busy street but on the 14th floor this proved no problem at all with noise, etc) although if you were on the back side of the hotel you would have a view of a block of flats so definitely worth asking for. Hotel quiet for the majority of the 9 nights we stayed there but definitely became busy Fri/Sat/Sun ( Still less than 10 people at the pool area). Läs mer

We arrived at the Royale Bintang at 1930, after a very long day, only to be told that there were no rooms available, and that we should go and have a drink as the rooms would not be ready for another 60 minutes! After making a fuss, we were assigned a room after 35 minutes waiting, however it was a smoking room, and the room, and indeed the whole floor, […] smelt very strongly of smoke. The room was big, but in urgent need of updating; the carpet was marked (indeed one of the marks was sticky), the shower was mouldy, and the bed linen reeked of smoke. As we were hungry (it was 2015 by this point) we made the best of it and began to get showered and changed, only for us to hear the door, and another guest walk in! They were as apologetic as we were embarrassed and we immediately called reception to complain. They were not apologetic, and said that they thought we had been moved to another room! We asked to be moved to a non-smoking room, and they said that there would be one available when we got back from dinner. The hotel is on quite a seedy street, however nearby we found some nice bars and restaurants. On returning to the hotel, we were unsurprised to find no trace of a new room, and were told that we would have to go back and ask the following day- not much use to us as we were (thankfully) only staying for one night. The breakfast the following day was ok; fresh eggs and roti, but most things were of poor quality and had run out of most things (pastries, fruit) by 9am. We had previously stayed at the sister hotel, the Royale Chulan, which was fantastic, but a bit further away from then nightlife, hence why we booked this hotel. We will never return! The 4 Star rating is a joke- more like 2 star. There are far better options in KL. Läs mer

First impression of this hotel is great. Right on the main Bukit Bintang 'main street' and close to lots of the shopping areas. Lobby is also well presented and staff was friendly indeed, some of them perhaps too friendly (e.g we seek some few options of travel by taxi and the cost given were perhaps a bit too 'wishful thinking' ). Nevertheless, they […] were quite happy to help out. Umbrellas rented for free as well for a night walk around the area which is great. Like many other reviewers, the walkway on the floor levels definitely were indeed due for a clean. While I wouldn't consider them bad at all, they were smells of old wet carpets (due to the humidity and lack of steam clean). The bedroom however, weren't affected by any smell. very neat and tidy and comfy beds. Quiet as well , considering other cheaper hotels can have paper thin walls on such a lively street. The pools looked clean but a bit small for a real swim. more a lap / relaxing pool. The gym equipment weren't new for sure, but relatively lots of choices, and maintained well for its age, and quite impressed overall. Free wifi was definitely a bonus. Läs mer

Location was pretty good - for people who enjoy a walk - petronas towers is easy to find (and admire) especially at night, as is the "main street". Service at the hotel was great - asked for a power plug adaptor and there was a knock at the door very quickly with one in hand! There is so many people in this hotel, the staff is absolutely overwhelmed . They gave us an unacceptable room, old and small so we complained and they ended up giving us a suite with a view to Petronas, very nice. The hotel is huge, elevators always packed. We stayed 2 nights and upon check-in the water got chocked in the shower...got to change room, waited abt 2 hrs. Then the bedside lighting doesn't work in our new room...I think its time they renovate and re-mantain the whole facilities. Carpets also look very worn out and some even had patches on them. Check-out was slow as they only have 2 staff working […] at the counter. We won't recommend this hotel to friends but if you're looking for convenient location to nearby shopping and no fuss in room facilities, then its still bearable.
