The resort was very clean and the location was great. In walking distance to the food and beach.

We have stayed @this hotel several times & have always enjoyed our stay. We usually get a partial view of the ocean with a private patio. It is great for morning coffee & watching the sun set over the ocean in the evenings. It is too bad that so many of the full-ocean view rooms are "time-shares": more expensive. You won't be disappointed with this location. The panoramic view of the ocean with a patio is a must! Great for families with kids and couples. Convenient safe parking, good breakfast, nice pool area, free movies, adult only hot tub made this place perfect. The hotel was clean; the State beach was right across the street & was really great; my room had a partial ocean view, which was nice; hotel amenities were adequate. only drawback was when I asked to be moved to the second or third floor - I was told that those two floors are for timeshares only - that the hotel iteslf only consisted of the first floor […] - which wasn't clearly stated on the internet description. I was surprised to find such a nice place to stay that only had 3 stars, I would give them a higher rating. The room was very clean and well kept. The robe was a nice touch and the complimentary breakfast was just enough to start the day. Everyone was very nice and helpful as well. The hotel is older but well kept and clean. We were there for one night and had went for the room that was ocean front. The only downfall is that the room is right on a main road so it can be a bit noisy. They are pretty strict about early check ins too.

Great location on the coast. Reasonable price for location. Continental breakfast was huge disappointment considering the overall quality of the hotel, as was the hostess who seemed unhappy we disturbed her morning. It's not new or flashy, but our family loved the rec room with ping pong and pool tables, and lots of dvd's. Across from the beach and within wallking distance to shops and restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack Resort Hotel. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We took advantage of the continental breakfast and the happy hour. We loved that the hotel was directly across from the beach walk and a few blocks from the village shops.

We have stayed here before and always loved it. We needed to change rooms after arriving because we wanted to have a nice view of the ocean, they were very accommodating, a nice young man named Trevor helped us out. We like to be close to the ocean, this is across the street, with a road in between, but just have to cross the roadway, not a busy highway […] to get to beach. The best part was just going out on the balcony of our room, enjoying the view. The location is fantastic, walkway right across to the beach. Easy walk into the Village for shopping and restaurants. The rooms really need renovation for the prices, but the beds were comfortable. They also need to convert one of the ocean view rooms to a handicapped room, the only one they had was courtyard view. Great, down-to-earth resort with value for the price paid. They take such great care of the facilities and offer wonderful activities for family and children. The pool is clean and heated for a fantastic swim. They have two jacuzzis - one for adults only--that help soothe tired muscles and a rec room with pool tables and ping pong. This is just a 3-star quality hotel with normal amenities and a small pool but the location is the best in town. It is a somewhat older property but is clean and well maintained. Beach access is outstanding and access to restaurants/shops/nightlife couldn't be better. However, if you stay on the oceanview side there is considerable traffic noise due […] to the immediate proximity to the street. This may be great for Spring Break but probably not the best if you plan on spending a considerable amount of time in your room relaxing or resting. This can be mitigated by staying on the non-oceanview side. Kids will enjoy hanging out and playing together at the ping pong and pool tables, ours certainly did. As a side note, the seafood appetizer items in the attached restuarant were fabulous. If you want to spend an active family vacation at Legoland and the beach this is the spot for convenient access. Would stay again for the location and general satisfaction but a bit pricey for a non-luxury family-oriented hotel. Läs mer

Everything was well done at this hotel. The only comment is that it is a bit dated - the lock on the bathroom door was missing a screw, the patio furniture showed wear but the location is great, the partial ocean view was just that with a great view of the park and the breakfast was more than adequate.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the place was quite clean. Our room faced the front and was supposed to have an ocean view, but since we were on the first floor, we didn't see much of it at all. A very bright street light outside our window (not blocked out by the gauze curtains) kept my husband awake most of the night. Breakfast, served in a […] small room by the game room, consisted of dry cereal, muffins and bagels--a little disappointing. But I think our biggest disappointment was the surrounding area. We had booked knowing we wanted to see Legoland and the beach. Legoland was fun, but farther away than we expected, and the beach across the busy street from the hotel was trashy and underwhelming. We found that most of the restaurants within walking distance had less than stellar cuisine (don't be tempted by Angelo's Burgers, even though the Angelo statue outside is endearing). We did enjoy Garcia's Mexican food downtown, though. Carlsbad in general wasn't a great experience for us. The "village" of Carlsbad was tacky and rundown, not quaint at all. If we stay in the area again, we will head farther south to San Diego. Läs mer

lage zum Strand super, unser Zimmer gut eingerichtet und sauber, aber klein und dunkel. Das Frühstück wird im gleichen raum mit den Billardspielern eingenommen, es ist nicht gut und wird mit wegwerfgeshirr angeboten. pool und hot tub sauber, Anlage insgesamt schon in die Jahre gekommen, und sehr anonym; für den Preis hätten wir mehr erwartet
