Mycket prisvärt Guesthouse. Trivsamt rum, sköna sängar och bra badrum. Extra plus för gästbadrockar! Även frukosten var bra med "full english breakfast". Gångavstånd till centrum och tågstation, dock en del störande trafik med en stor rondell utanför fönstret.

Perfect for the eurotunnel, we checked in to The Roebuck on a Saturday night. The staff were excellent in their servicemindedness. We had to make an early start the next morning, so they made us some sandwiches. We had a meal in the pub in the evening, and the food was excellent as well. The only complaint I can have is that the extra sofabed in the room could hold only one person. Having booked a familyroom for four, that is one short. My daughter had to sleep on the floor.

Väldigt bra läge vid havet. Rummen var rena, sköna sängar, lite slitet badrum. Frukosten kunde ha varit lite fräschare, det fanns frukt, flingor, bröd samt alla tillbehör till en engelsk frukost men den kändes inte så spännande. Frukostmatsalen hade utsikt över havet och det var en trevlig början på dagen.

Superb small hotel with what is for me a unique feature - a hospitality area with free top quality coffee, cakes and complementary glass of wine or beer. Parking was easy, although not right outside. On check in we were upgraded free of charge. The room was a nice size and clean, although there was not a bath! "Pleasant Surprise"
The relish was a very pleasant surprise as it offered just the right degree of comfort and proximity to the chunnel to make a long trip down through France really quite enjoyable. Great place to stay, very friendly and welcoming. As with other reviewers, I was upgraded on arrival and offered a complimentary drink (beer or wine) as well as some homemade cake. The room was clean and well presented and the hotels location is great with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby if you require them. Unfortunately I didn't get time to […] have breakfast (which looked great) as I had an early start, but the Hotel sent me on my way with fresh coffee and offered to do me a goodie bag of fruit, yoghurt etc. I stay in Folkestone about 4 times a year on business and I will definitely be staying at The Relish next time I'm in the area. We loved it. Arrived to find upgraded to the best room. It was so beautiful with a king four poster bed stylishly placed in the middle of the room. Complimentary wine, delicious breakfast. "Relish Folkestone lives up to its reviews"
We spent a night in the Orchid room and very much enjoyed the experience of Relish. Genuine friendly reception, local advice and information. There is no off street parking and you need to walk up a flight ofstairs but everything else is so good we will certainly visit again. Free upgrade upon arrival. Homemade cake and a free drink made us feel right at home. Lovely room and wonderful view of the grounds at the rear. Breakfast was delicious and filling. "Best hotel in Folkestone"

"Something to relish in Folkestone"
It's not easy finding good quality accommodation in Folkestone, especially if you want the town rather a location 'convenient for the Channel Tunnel', but The Relish is a real find. The location is great for the town and the Leas, with a list provided of nearby restaurants and very helpful staff who will make bookings for you. The room we were in for […] four nights was slightly bigger than the norm, with an enormous bed, large shower and a wardrobe space tall enough for my dresses. You need to be fit, though, as there is no lift and we were on the top floor. A problem with the shower was resolved on the day we mentioned it. Breakfasts were fine (hot dishes served from the kitchen rather than lingering on hot plates) but the best thing about the guest house was the free coffee/tea and glass of wine available – even a slice of cake if you want one.
