Hotellet var inte prio 1 för Bank Hotell & Bar utan personalen var mer barpersonal. Vilket i vårt fall passade utmärkt för en weekend. Vi fick rum på vån 3 (högst upp) => många trappor men man blev inte störd av baren.

Trevlig personal, om än lite svårtolkade ibland - många dialekter. Största nackdelen var att det till och från luktade cigarettrök i korridoren och tyvärr låg det en kväll en tung doft av cannabis också. Men nästa dag hade städpersonalen vädrat och städat snabbt, så det var omhändertaget snabbt och effektivt. Vägg i vägg med zoo - perfekt. Bussen tog 10 minuter in till Centrala Edinburgh och 10 minuter till Edinburgh Airport. 10 minuters promenad till närmsta snabbköp och lugnt (festfritt) område. Kanon!

mkt nöjd med hotellet, dock missnöjd med rummet vid fick. ligger på en backe så vårt rum hade världens minst fönster. mörkt och bunkerlikt.

Hotellet ligger perfekt beläget mitt i stan, 5 minuters gångväg från centralstationen. Standarden var över förväntan, servicen bra. Frukost äts på restaurangen i anslutning till hotellet, vilket var helt ok. Rekommenderar hotellet och kommer själv att åka tillbaka när vi besökar Edinburg nästa gång.

Mycket central läge men ändå inget störande ljud från trafiken. Modernt, trevligt och prisvärt hotell. Snyggt och rent. Trevlig personal. Gångavstånd till gamla stan med slottet, turistbyrå och shopping.

Bra hotell på alla sätt och vis och toppencentralt läge. Lite fånigt kanske att man var tvungna att bli visad till sitt bord vid frukosten av hovmästaren, med en kö på några minuter först. Det var dock det enda jag hade att klaga på.

Perfect hotel for me, excellent location, excellent service level and nicely decorated. The only drawbacks were a smell of mould in the bathroom and some problems with the coverage of the wireless internet access. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfekt läge nära centralstation och flygbussarn, centralt med gång avstånd till slottet, Hotellet var jätte fint och fantastisk god mat, minus för betalningen av frukost, det står att det ingår men man får betala extra om man vill ha varm mat tex omelett. annars var det kanon vistelse.

Ett väldigt fint hotell nära både gamla och nya stan i edinburgh. Vi kommer garanterat att åka tillbaka och då kommer vi använda oss av samma hotell. bra frukost. Väldigt fint rum och badrum!

"Apex Waterloo Place Hotel - fräscht o centralt"
Hotellet verkar vara nyrenoverat, väldigt fräscht och modernt. Fri Wi-fi överallt. Ligger väldigt centralt, gångavstånd (5-7 min) till centralstation där flygbussar stannar. Men ändå inte "noisy/busy streets" med störande trafik etc. som det annars kan vara på hotell dom ligger nära centralstationer. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Hotellet har ett fint […] litet mini-spa där det var perfekt att ta ngr simtag och sitta i ångbastun efter en dag på stan. Om man ska klaga på ngt så var det möpjligen lite lyhört (men det verkar det vara på de flesta hotell) - jag kunde höra grannens kräkljud på morgonen...Men det var nog bara extrem otur. Annars verkade det mest vara sansade resenärer och inte ngr "party-gäng" iaf vad jag kunde se. Priset var möjligen lite för mkt för min smak men man fick ju ett bra o fräscht hotell så visst var det värt det -men tycker nog frukosten borde ingått. Och sen var det inte så rolig utsikt från rummet - inte mitt iaf ; någon slags stängd bakgård mellan huskropparna- men oftast gör det ju ingenting för man sover ju mest på hotellet och sen upplever man staden på plats och inte från hotellfönstret. "Nice hotel, but a little pricey for what you get"
Overall the stay was okay. Cleanliness varied day to day based on who cleaned the room (sometimes vacuumed, sometimes not, never washed my robe even though it was on the floor). Room service was fast and not too bad. Free wi-fi so that was a plus. Also nice bar downstairs.

I stayed with colleagues for a business event in a nearby restaurant in the City center. This hotel is perfectly placed both for this type of event, but would also be the ideal location for a sight-seeing / shopping visit. The hotel is impressive, externally, & this continues inside. A nice mix of modern & traditional greets you in the reception & […] bar area. The check in was quick & easy. The room, mine was on the 3rd floor, was a good size & very well presented. The inclusion of an iron & board is always a nice feature, but one often missing in UK hotels. There was a large, comfortable bed & an extremely big LCD TV. The bathroom was spacious, with both a bath & very large shower cubicle. The shower was very powerful & plenty of hot water. The levels of cleanliness & decor were high. In the evening, the reception & bar staff were helpful in allow a group of us a 'late drink'. Finally, I left a laptop charge lead in the room &, after speaking with the reception when I returned to Suffolk, they have agreed to post this back to me. The hotel is situated in a very convenient part of town. It's very close to the railway station and all the attractions of Edinburgh are within walking distance. The hotel pool albeit is a little bit small but very nice and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall the hotel was very nice, clean and modern. "Centrally located"
Newly refurbished this hotel is close to the station and within easy walking of all major Edinburgh sights. Good little gym and pool and an excellent bar. Room big well appointed but with a lot of noise from a nearbye boiler!

This hotel is in an excellent location. There is easy access from the main railway station, and it is an easy walk to the main shopping centre. The hotel itself is very well run, and the staff that attended to me were really first class. The bedroom was spacious and the facilities excellent and all that you would expect in a 4-star hotel.
"Good value for money and great location"
Centrally located by main shopping street, but little street noise. Room was ok, but our mattresses could've been more comfortable. The pool area was very nice and clean, and the hotel service was good. Apparently some of the double rooms got only shower cabinets and no bathtubs, so be sure to ask about a bathtub if you want one.

An excellent hotel, great service, nice rooms (especially the superior king room), although the nice views are a little lacking. Slightly costly rooms, but worth it.

"Good choice if you are coming in by train"
Hotel very close to Waverley Station - you can easily walk there. Just booked a standard room but it had a sofa and a huge bed (we have a kingsize at home but this was much bigger) and the bathroom was nice with big deep bath and separate large walk in shower. Lots of hair in the plug hole though which put me off a bit but OH despatched to get rid of […] that and then all OK. Didn't have breakfast included so had continental breakfast in hotel one day, used the cafe on the corner another day and went along the Royal Mile the other days. All fine - you don't need to have breakfast in the hotel - I think it was about £15 - as there are lots of other places to go - but if you want a full cooked breakfast a waitress took your order and served it to you so it wasn't all on view on a hotplate which puts some people off - and it looked good. OH had a massage in Spa and tried the steam room and sauna and said it was good (He got 20% off massage on Wed and Thurs) but weather was bright and dry so we went out and about every day and were too tired to use the pool when we got back. Exactly what you would want to experience in a 4* hotel. Helpful, friendly staff, good food, high quality surroundings. As a picky person I was impressed. Only things I could fault were a cold puddle of water at the bottom of the pool steps and when taking the stairs, a radical contrast in decor to the main hotel - basic!!

fantastic hotel. we've stayed at this hotel in 2009. that was a higher rate. this time it was lower so we got smaller bathroom. the heating was not working so they've put additional heating into the room when asked. still very good though. so 5 stars. never used SPA or pools as we stayed 2 days. so no comment on that.

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in. Our room was great. The service was great from early start when we showed up by front desk. Fitness facilities were good as well as business center. Complimentary WiFi had great speeds and availability. But most importantly, hotel located within 4-5 minutes of all main shopping, sightseeing areas, and Christmas […] festival area. And at the same time, it is nice and quiet with no crowds next to the hotel. Absolutely loved it!!! Very smart and well equipt hotel. Complimentary Wi-Fi was very good to find places to visit from our room and to look through restraunt menus before going out.
