lägenheten var helt super. Stor och fräsch. Först tyckte vi den låg lite off men vi upptäckte snart att det var nära till allt om man är beredd att gå 5-10 minuter. Trevligt att bo på en "vanlig gata"!

Vi bodde tre nätter i en lägenhet med två sovrum. Det var mycket lyckat och lägenheten hade en köksdel med tvättmaskin som dög bra för frukost. Läget är bra både när det gäller att ta sig dit från flygplatsen och sedan vidare ut i Barcelona. Området är charmigt och upplevdes som väldigt lugnt och säkert.

Cheap furniture and interior design were disappointing . The suite needs some renovation (repainting would be welcome). The bathroom get flooded when taking a shower. Convenient but not so good value for money. We won't go back.

Great hotel. Clean, fresh, and simple. Service was excellent. Both the receptionist and the maid made extra efforts to ensure my stay was comfortable. Only complaint: the hotel is difficult to find - the address doesn't match the location using GoogleMaps. The location of the hotel is a few blocks from where GoogleMaps shows you. We were so pleased with the amenities here, and the help. We were advised on what to see, responded to immediately with questions and made to feel welcome. The suite had everything needed and more, and was well decorated and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

Hurricane Sandy was about to hit three of our homes and would take out multiple cars, basements, tools and all. We knew we needed to get home for our elderly parents and children. We were to stay 10/27-29/2012 and emailed and phoned in the AM of 10/27 our need to cut our stay short. We would use the suite for 10/27 but had arranged air to get us home […] on 10/28. This storm was so bad that when we arrived at the airporyt on the 28, all flights to Miami were cancelled as we were boarding the plane to Newark. Had we not left on the 28 we would have been unable to fly for days. We could not then, nor could hotels.com reach the manager who was only reached mid January 2013 after 12 calls from myself and hotels.com to speak to the only person who had the authority to deal with this but was never available to speak on the phone, the manager. When hotels.com finally reached her, her response was "our cancellation policy holds. There is no refund. Tell them to contact their insurance." Bad manners, callous heart, bad karma. So much wasted energy and money during a terrible tragedy from which we are still reeling at the Jersey Shore. Shame on Splendom. Läs mer

Overall we had a great stay. Splendom has a great location and has a lot of options for food and drinks within walking distance. The hotel staff was very polite and friendly. Some places to eat around that I would highly recommend - Taktika Berri (right across the hotel, amazing Basque cuisine), The Russian Filet (for burgers and drinks), and San Telmo […] (for well crafted drinks). Absolutely loved our stay at Splendom suites. Barcelona is amazing too! We are already planning another trip, and know where we will stay. The apartment is specious, clean, warm, modern and has everything you might need. And if you need any extras, such as high chair, or DVD player, all you need to do is ask. I have read in reviews people complaining […] about lack of English TV channels. There is actually a way around it. Few channels are showing American movies and shows (we kept watching Grey's Anatomy), and you can take off Spanish dubbing simply by pressing a button on your remote. So can have it in original format, i.e. in English. Also, as mentioned above request a DVD player and bring few DVD's along. We loved the little touches, chest of toys in the apartment for our little boy. Little writing table and toys in the reception area. Sweets on the pillow, and complementary sweets upon arrival too. Staff were all superb. Aleksis and Fran took really good care of us at the reception. Housekeeping was friendly and very efficient. Patricia was even helping before we arrived to Barcelona and made us feel very welcome. Can thank them all enough.We really enjoyed our stay. Apartment is in a very good location. We walked everywhere apart from one short metro trip to Sagrada Familia. One of best perks for me was the Respires machine at the reception, and those little treats. My 70ish parents and I had been on a cruise ship for 2 weeks prior to our stay in Barcelona. Perhaps I misunderstood the hotels.com website, but there is no meal credit for breakfast offered. They have packaged croissants, but you are better off to stop at one of the many coffee/bakeries for fresh breakfast. We arrived earlier than check-in, and they […] had a room to store our bags. The staff provided a map and directions East to the Rambla and Passage de Gracia where you can find the tourist buses and metro stations. The suite was well furnished. The bedroom safe was large enough to fit my laptop. Nice "pod" coffee maker. Nice array of cable channels and satellite radio. We could not find news in English, but some TV shows and movies played in Spanish or English. We had a little trouble configuring the thermostats for heat, but the hotel staff was helpful to explain it. We lost power one night at 0100, but this was easily fixed by flipping the fuse. Outstanding location. My parents had stayed in Barcelona 10 years ago and had twice been victims of pick-pocketing attempts. They were very comfortable with this L’Eixample neighborhood, with the proximity to restaurants, and to the tourist sites. We did a lot of walking and it was good. Directly across the street out our window is a tapas restaurant that was well recommended in Lonely Planet and was busy. The room was larger than we expected, and was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful from storing our luggage prior to check-in to offering restaurant and sight-seeing recommendations. The hotel is in a quiet area, but within walking distance of La Rambla, Sagrada Familia, and lots of nice restaurants.

The hotel was in a great location and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The lobby was a little dated and could use a refresh. It worked perfectly for our family of five. We'd definitely stay here again when we return to Barcelona.

I was extremely impressed wth Splendom Suites. I was traveling with my friend and my 21 year old son who is studying in Madrid. It was the perfect place to stay for the three of us. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. Loved it!

A great place to stay. All the convenience of an apartment with the benefits of a hotel. Full kitchen, great location. Staff was very helpful and available 24 hours again. Would definitely recommend this hotel especially for families or groups of friends that want to stay in same place.

The 2 enormous tv's in the apartment only show Spanish tv and the DVD player would not work on non Spanish dvd's which is not great. There were not many towels and those offered very small. The nice Molton Brown toiletries were reserved to 2 miniatures (not great for an apartment that sleeps 5!). Housekeeping came at lunchtime while our child was sleeping […] and then just handed 3 clean towels and never came back to clean the room. The lift broke on last day so was left waiting with luggage for half an hour on 4th floor- not a great end to the stay especially as no apology from staff. However the apartments are located in a nice area with good restaurants around. The staff were friendly but i was offered no advice on activities or insider knowledge on the city and in fact when i asked for some ideas on restaurants i was told the 2 most famous tapas bars in Barcelona which you could find in any guidebook, not any recommendations of the less well known but very good places nearby. Stayed at the Splendom Suites for a long weekend in Barcelona in a "junior suite". The appartment is large, very luxurious and tastefully decorated. It includes an oven, microwave, water boiler, all utensils, a washing machine and a nespresso machine with complimentary espresso cups (refreshed every evening)!! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, […] and cleaning service extends to both morning and evening. Proficiency in English is generally very good, although it does help if you speak at least a *bit* of Spanish. The appartments are very conveniently located at walking distance of pretty much everything (including the Sagrada Familia and the Old Town)...if you don't mind a 15-25 minute walk (it's straightforward enough and a nice enough neighbourhood so it was no problem for us whatsoever). If not, there are taxis aplenty (at very reasonable rates) and it's roughly 650 meters to either of the nearest two metro stations. The immediate neighbourhood has plenty of little cafes, restaurants and small supermarkets (some 24/7) for your direct convenience, but no real places of interests, monuments, parks, etc. For proper shopping and sighseeing you need to go to the Old Town or the rims of the city. In summary: Splendom Suites offers a very reasonably priced accomodation at a good location. Recommended! Läs mer

Went for a weekend break and was very impessed with the quality, decor, and furnishings. Very well equipped two bedroomed suite with a well equipped kitchen. Three blocks from the Ramblas, easy access to all the main tourist areas, only wish we'd had more time there. I would definately use this hotel again.

We really liked the location and the space provided by Splendom Suites. The building clearly had been updated recently with modern appliances and fixtures. The lobby is not actually in the building however. It is next door, so you need to walk out onto the street to get to the lobby. Not a big problem, but it is worth knowing in advance. Our only problem […] was with the loud music coming from the restaurant on the bottom floor of the building. Our suite was directly overhead and it seems that after the restaurant close for the night the employees and friends start partying. This was at 2 am and it woke up our entire family. My wife ended up hollering at the people in the restaurant and threatening to call the police. The hotel management, on the second night, helped, but only after the complaints started. One staff member told us that the hotel owner also owns the restaurant so this situation should not be allowed to happen. Our suite was right over the restaurant, so perhaps those on the higher floors wouldn't hear it. I strongly recommend that anyone planning to stay here that they make sure they are NOT located over the restaurant. Läs mer

Amazing accomodation, had one small double room and one huge twin room. All the necessary amenities available, staff were very helpful and was located in a typical Barcelona neighbourhood away from the tourists so was very safe and loads of cafe, restaurants and supermarkets around. This hotel is perfect for either a couple or a family, even friends traveling together. We had a two bedroom flat with complete kitchen for much less than we've paid for a standard room in many cities. The central shopping area is about a 15 minute walk, along with the Placa De Catalunya, La Rambla and the Gothic area. The neighborhood feels safe, the […] hotel is secure. We enjoyed our stay very much at Splendum Suites. Did not realize they are 2 bedroom apartments, so we overbooked for our party. They are spacious & comfortable. About 15 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya, nice neighborhood with cafes & a couple of grocery stores within 1 block. The staff are friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

an excellent 3 nights here. A good walk from the passeig gracia metro but with 3 kids it still wasn't a chore. Really good facilities in the apartment. I would highly recommend this hotel. We were a family of 5 (ages 9,10, 42,42 and 52) spending 5 days in Barcelona. The hotel was clean and in a good neighbourhood. The staff were excellent. They arranged taxis for us (difficult to get cabs for 5) and were always available for recommending things. The handle on our fridge broke and they had it fixed […] immediately. The apartment itself was very nice with 2 bedrooms and a very nice bathroom. Big grocery store just around the corner. Restaurants and shops all quite close. Great safe neighbourhood. The only downside was location. It was a 5 block walk to get to the main shopping area and 7 blocks (15 minutes) to get close to Los Ramblas. It wasn't a big issue but it seemed you had to walk at least 10 minutes to get to the metro. I would definitely stay there again as it was away from the crowds and in a nice neighbourhood. Läs mer

Nice hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Had two balconies in Suite (one in front and one in back) and nice kitchen with dishes; even had an expresso maker with completementary coffee pods. Also included washer and plenty of dishes. Location was good, only about 1 mile off town center, and they partner with cafe next door for breakfast (cost extra). […] Had nice furnature except beds which in main bedroom was very stiff and fold-out bed in living room was thin pad that didn't do a great job of masking the steel prings below. Most people would have not liked the beds. Shower leaked and window couldn't be latched but place was other than that in good maintainance. Had individual security system (like Brinks, you punched in the code). Hotel sells doubledecker bus tour passes at same price you can get but avoids lines. Wouldn't allow early check-in due to being crowded which was inconvenient but understandable (not different than advertised). Balcony was dirty adn could have use a cleaning. Had decent-size plasmas in both bedroom and living room. I would recommend this for the price, convenience and staff quality but with cavet that they need to improve their beds and so some minor maintainance. Läs mer

Meget fine leiligheter i hyggelig område uten masse turister. Det tar 15 minutter å spasera til Plaza Catalunya. Det er flere hyggelige restauranter i nabolaget med god mat til bra pris. Vår leilighet (102) i første etasje hadde terasse og balkong! Terrassen har uteplass med møbler, balkongen er meget liten. Tror de andre etasjene kun har liten balkong […] uten sitteplass.
