En mycket kort, men godkänd vistelse. Väldigt tillmötesgående personal och ett bra läge - nära till både tram/buss, samt olika sevärdheter. Dock inget hotell för någon med dåliga knän, många långa, branta trappor.. Men överlag helt klart godkänt.

Jag hade aldrig varit i Amsterdam och när jag skulle boka hotell hade jag ingen aning om vart man skulle bo. Till sist så beslutade sig jag och mina vänner att välja Hotell Di Ann då detta hotell låg brevid stora torget DAM. Det visade sig att läget var otroligt bra. Tramen gick precis i närheten, ett stort supermarket låg ca. 2 minuter ifrån och även […] toget låg ca. 3-4 minuter därifrån. Runt om torget finns massa restauranger, madam tussauds, cykeluthyrning, barer, lite affärer och ytterligare någon minut bort ligger även red light district. Personalen är mycket trevlig och hotellet är mysigt. Rummen är lite små men det funkar. Frukosten är väldigt lätt men man kan inte begära så mycket för det priset man betalar. Jag och mina vänner är mycket nöjda och återvänder gärna till hotell Di Ann och vackra Amsterdam!! Läs mer

Inget hotell man lägger på minnet, rekommenderar, eller återvänder till. Dålig frukost, trångt i matsalen och dålig Buffélogistik.Lite sjabbigt hotell, men hjälpsam och trevlig personal när man väl bad om något. Rum mot gatan innebär hög ljudnivå sent på natten och tidigt på morgonen.

Väldigt nära centrum och stationen. Mycket prisvärt och frukosten var enkel men god. Man möts av en väldigt hög och smal trappa när man kommer in, så om man har svårt för att komma upp för trapporna med bagage ska man nog inte välja just detta hotell. Personalen var väldigt trevliga och rummen var fräscha.

Den var bra, endast en chock när vi öppnade dörren till hotellet och fick se den branta trappan. Men den vande man sig vid. Mycket trevlig personal, frukosten helt ok. Rummen små, och trånga toaletter, men det fungerade.

Hotellet var hygglit med tanke på priset! Frukosten var bättre än jag trodde.Personalen trevliga. Rummet var tyvärr lite litet men vi var ju inte där för att vara på rummet så det gick bra. Jobbiga trappor men man kan ju tänka positivt, man får motion! Stannar man i Amsterdam ett par dagar så duger det gott!!

Frukosten var ett skämt det var ,ägg ,ost ,bröd kaffe och te thats it och lite småt tillbehör men ingen annat pålägg och rummen kalla och tv fungerade inte

This was exactly what we were looking for. Very good location but at the same time in a bit more quiet area just behind the dam. Our room had a balcony, perfect if you are a smoker. Room was small but free wifi plus brekfast, a hot shower and it was a clean room so no complaints.

Would stay here again. It was good having breakfast included. Steps up to reception very steep so not ideal for an elderly person. We had a view of canal from bedroom window. It's only about a 15 min walk to station. Anne frank house only round the corner you can see the palace also from the window. Also a nice supermarket is only round the corner. […] Staff very friendly. We asked for a early wake up call at 4 and this was done. Beds comfy. The location of this hotel is perfect, really close to everything, 10 minute walk from the station. We paid around £100 per night for a 'deluxe' room. I think this is over priced for the time of year and for the size of the room, I was expecting a little more luxury. There was a double bed, small en-suite shower room and a balcony (which was great!). […] The room was very cold in the morning and there were no spare blankets but the bed was very comfortable. Overpriced definitely. Very small room, hardly space to turn around. Outdated and the carpet on the floor was dirty. Toilet was in ok condition. Their breakfast starts at 7.30AM which was too late for us since we had to catch a flight. You have to climb up horrible steep stairs to get to the reception and rooms. Apparently they do not have an elevator […] which would be very difficult if you carry large luggage. Neighbourhood was pretty. Staff could have been friendlier. Läs mer

Steep is what I'd read and steep is right! The very first thing you're greeted by, when you open the hotel door, it a very steep flight of 37 steps! beware, if you're carrying a large case it will be a mission in itself to get it to the top!!However, when you finally reach reception you will be greeted by a very pleasant receptionist and directed efficiently […] to your room. I went with a group of friends on a 'lads' holiday and expected the hotel to offer little more than a hostel standard. If this is your expctation you'll be about right. If you're expecting more then you'll be disappointed, even though the small rooms were (contrary to what I'd read) clean and warm, there is little in the way of creature comforts. Nonetheless, this is what we expected and we were delighted with our stay. Moving on to the breakfast, it was very simple: nothing more than bread, boiled egg, cheese, cereal, juice and coffee to choose from - with the added benefit of 2 toasters and a toasted sandwich maker (in which to put your bread and cheese). Again, however, this was ideal for 5 lads just wanting somethng to get us started in the morning, so no real complaints there either. One final note on the location: it is ideal. The Hotel Di Ann is in a great location, and the price was very reasonable for Amsterdam. For those complaining about the stairs, yes they are really steep and there are a lot of them. If you have a lot of luggage you are going to have a real problem. If you have a problem with stairs this probably not the place for you. This is a fantastic hotel. The location is perfect! The tram line goes right by the hotel. It is right in between Anne Frank's Huis and the Dam Square, just two blocks to either one. The Jordaan is just next door, and the Little Negen Straats are just below. You can see the Herengracht canal from the balcony and enjoy a romantic evening with your partner. […] The room was well insulated and we never heard any road noise at night. The bathroom was excellent, as well. As an added bonus, Coffeeshop Rockland is a block away with an outside terrace; a chill spot to spend an afternoon and think about what it means for a country to be free. Something to consider when you read other reviews crying about the stairs...you're in Amsterdam, everything has steep stairs. Yes, they are steep, but get over it. You're in Amsterdam. When in Rome, do as the Romans. I have a prosthetic leg and I was able to climb them and carry my bags. 'Nuff said. For a single traveller, the room felt rather cramped to use and the climbing up the stairs with a heavy suitcase felt like a mountaineering expedition, which was unavoidable due to the hotel's nature as a former canal house. If you have luggage that you can't haul up the very steepest stairs you've ever seen, this place is not for you. Hotel is right on a corner next to a canal and approximately 2 blocks away from city center. No AC. Some rooms have Water Closets in the room while others are communal in the hallway. Continental breakfast was included and had a nice breakfast […] room with seating for many and a balcony one could option for. Service was kind and helpful. Parking in all of Amsterdam is a nightmare. Hotel suggested a service called Car Hotel which comes and picks up your car and parks in a garage outside of city for much less than it would cost to feed the meter for a few days. This hotel is in a fantastic location, in the middle of the Canal Ring West neighborhood and blocks from the old center. Balcony rooms have outdoor seating with a gorgeous view of the canal and busy Raadhuisstraat. Otherwise, it's an unremarkable but serviceable hotel, priced a bit high. My single room was quite small, though adequate. It did include […] both a safe and a refrigerator, which were a surprise. Breakfast was typical, if a bit on the meager side (eg. with sliced white bread rather than rolls), and the dining room was crowded and poorly organized. WIFI bandwidth was spotty, and the signal very poor both in my room and in the few available common areas of the hotel. Desk staff did their jobs, but not with any particular speed or enthusiasm. (To be fair, if I had to put up with some of the obnoxious patrons in line at the hotel, I'd probably adopt the same attitude.) Loved the historic building. No lift so you must go up a flight or two or three of very steep narrow stairs. Nice breakfast and staff. They will help you with your luggage if they are available. Close to the Anne Frank House but quite a walk from the train station.

When arriving I was greeted with the steep stairs to get to the reception. When I reached reception the two men apologised that they had not seen me. They also brought my luggage all the way upstairs for me (I was so grateful for this). Breakfast is just enough. The room I had was small but it was a single so no room to complain there - plus I had a […] balcony to myself. There is wifi in the hotel quick and easy to connect to - plus its free! When I checked out I went and did a bit of final shopping and returned to find a (Chinese?) woman sitting on the desk. When I asked for my case I was rudely asked if I was staying and I told her that I had checked out. I was told that I should just get my case myself. She didnt seem to understand that my case was on the top shelf and rather heavy. I was then ignored while I struggled to get it out without collapsing. After putting this I asked her if someone was available to assist me and this seems to put her out even more. I would stay here again - its just what you need in a hotel Läs mer

The staff was very kindly and helpful, location is perfect, rooms are relatively o.k. for the money you are paying and are clean.The only problem is there is no elevator and many steep stairs to climb (one of the staff helped carring my luggage). Breakfast needs an improvement too.To sum it up - best value for money.

the only benefit of this hotel is it's location - all other is just nightmare. the rooms are dirty, there is a feeling that there is no windows at all at this hotel as any surrounding sounds (like people going trought or tram passing by) - you will hear all that sounds like your windows are open. breakfast included? ha-ha! the breakfast is ONE kind […] of cheese, 2 kinds of bread and coffe with milk. I reached the hotel quite easily from Centraal Station, the location is very convenient close to Dam Square....nice I thought but this is where the happiness ended. As we opened the door we were greeted by something resembling the North Face of Everest aka the stairs, after assembling our safety ropes and oxygen tanks we ascended without incident. The room (after a further attempt towards the summit) on the 3rd floor resembled the cabin of a 60's fishing trawler, grotty mismatched furniture and the delightful "office" ceiling. The beds were the smallest I've ever seen, about 18 inches, barely enough room for a cat never mind a human. The noisy little fridge was another highlight, periodically interrupting the tranquility with its incessant hum. The bedside light was not so much a nice light glow as a light sabre, a big huge fluorescent bulb right beside my head. Checking out there was a cat on the reception desk....fair enough. The only redeeming features of this hotel are the proximity to the city centre and the attractive receptionist. (The coffeeshop nearby wasn't far behind). There are about 6 hotels all in a row along this section of road, and I've now stayed in 3 of them. This is the best appointed, best breakfast and cleanest of the 3, but it still costs about the same (which is fairly cheap). However the desk staff were not friendly, and this is the first time in my many times of staying in Amsterdam that the hotel desk […] staff have been anything but cheery. The Di Ann hotel’s only good feature is its location, as it is walking distance to most of Amsterdam attractions. The room it’s self was advertised as a double, but was very small and cramped for two people. The Room was depressing and very cold, luckily our stay was short; I do not advise if you are planning to stay for longer than a few days. However […] the sheets on the bed were clean and the bathroom was satisfactory. The room was also cleaned very day, and new towels were provided. The helpfulness and politeness of the front desk depended on who was severing you, the day staff was very friendly, but nothing nice can be said about the night staff. Overall the hotel was disappointing. Nevertheless if you are just looking for somewhere to shower and sleep, this is the hotel for you. A few good points, were the 24 hour desk and morning breakfast, however if you are not an early bird this maybe a feature that wont apply to you, as the breakfast is only one till 10:30, ideally another half hour to hour would have been better!! Better have legs in good working order for a stay on this hotel as it includes walking up some very narrow, steep staircases. Posizione perfetta, personale gentile, camera piccola ma accogliente. Colazione un po' scarsa ( avrei gradito un croissant oppure una fetta di prosciutto accanto a pane e formaggio). Bagno un po' scomodo (l'acqua del lavandino scendeva male e la doccia dava direttamente sul pavimento. In generale buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Posizione perfetta, stanza piccola ma pulita, con bagno in camera e colazione, ottimo rapporto qualitá prezzo! ideale per turismo, per chi sta fuori quasi tutto il giorno e ha bisogno di un posto pulito e comodo per dormire. I 2 piani di scale sono molto ripidi, piú adatto a persone senza problemi di locomozione
