Reste med min dotter och vi var mycket nöjda med hotellet. Perfekt läge, rent, prisvärt och trevlig ägare. Enda minuset var att det var lyhört.

Vi var i Barcelona två dagar för att se stadens sevärdheter. Därför hade vi inte så stora krav på boendet mer än att det skulle vara centralt, vi skulle i princip bara sova där. Vi hade valt ett rum med bad och toalett. Vandrarhemmet var enkelt men rent. Personalen (ägaren) var trevlig och pratade bra engelska. Vi är jättenöjda! För att vara 2 stjärnigt var det jättebra! De städade jättebra och gav god service. Det var en annorlunda häftig atmosfär, som att bo i en 1700-tals våning med 5 m i takhöjd och fina, antika detaljer. Allt man behöver finns i kvarteret som supermarket, caféer, apotek, lätt att få tag i taxi och nära till t-bana. Prisvärt och rent hotell med god service! Vi hann bo i tre olika rum under vår vistelse, en del rum är lite mörka men alla är rena och fräscha, likaså de gemensamma toaletterna som tillhör de rum utan egen toalett. Den enda man kan sakna är en liten kyl på rummet eftersom det inte serveras någon frukost, å andra sidan ligger allt man behöver i nära […] promenadavstånd! Det här är ett enkelt pensionat av klassiskt snitt, dvs hemma hos en släkt som tycks förfoga över ett helt våningsplan i en 1800-talsfastighet. Inte alla småpensionat utstrålar trygghet, men här finns en massa släkt och inarbetad personal som tillsammans verkar ha bra koll. Men som sagt, stället är enkelt, och någon servis annat än allmän artighet är […] inte att vänta. Räkna med lyhörda rum. Min dörr släppte igenom det mesta från korridoren, men å andra sidan är det inget partykvarter så det var lugnt ändå. Sanitetsutrymmena är relativt nyrenoverade, vilket inte är självklart med tanke på priset. Det fanns fungerande kabeltv m en massa spanska kanaler på rummet. Frukost äter man ej här. Finns dock enkelt café på samma gata, också av lågpriskaraktär. Kommunikationerna är väl inte topp, men det är ganska lätt att till fots från Estacion Norte (för t ex Ryanairs resenärer som bussas från flp Girona.) Spänstiga kan också gå på typ 20 min från Placa Catalunya där övriga flygbussar finns (flp BCN terminal 1 +2). Det blir en massa långpromenader med det här hotelläget, så vill du bo nära händelserna så är det fel läge. Å andra sidan ligger det centralt för den som vill beta av många olika sevärdheter. Kan nog funka för en familj på upptäcktsfärd (och riktig snålbudget - förutsatt att alla gillar att gå). Stranden Barceloneta är tex typ 25 minuters promenad rakt ner genom Gamla stan, vilket är betydligt närmare än t ex boende kring universitetet. Nästa gång kanske jag ändå väljer ett hotell som ligger omedelbart intill något som jag tycker väldigt mycket om i Barcelona. Det här panget låg inte omedelbart intill något av mina besöksmål, så det var nog plånboken som styrde... Glöm inte öronproppar. Men priset är bra och stället rent, tryggt och relativt centralt. A twin room with full private bath was reserved but not provided. Receptionist adjusted rate down accordingly. He did not say that they gave our reserved room away, only that the price adjustment reflected a decrease in the rate. We were tired from a long cruise, and the place was charming, so we were not up for an argument, nor up for hunting for alternate […] hotel. We arrived early but had to return later to check in, so that should not have been the issue. Room next to public bathroom so every time bathroom used during the night it was like it was in our room. Public bath was exceptionally clean and up to date. Clean place throughout, with some old elegant touches of a 200+ year old high-end private home, real paintings on the wall, lovingly maintained, fitted with decent older furniture. WI-FI was easy, fast and accessible in our room. There was a pride in ownership rarely seen in places of this nature. We had a pleasant and helpful receptionist who gladly held our bags until check-in time. Linens fluffy, newer, and beds comfortable. Would have been perfect if we got the room that was guaranteed. The hotel is in a convenient location in a lovely old building. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. A bedside lamp in the room would have made it more pleasant to be in, but it was clean and comfortable. I would be happy to stay here again.

Great hostel in what seems to have been an old villa. Rooms are on the first and second floor. An old cage elevator will get you there safely and reliably. Five minutes from Placa de Catalunya. Great starting point for various walking tours including Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila.

The hostel might be a little difficult to find because it's inside a building shared with a business school, but it was otherwise in a very convenient location (walking distance to La Rambla and a number of metro and train stations). From checking in to checking out, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, not that I had any problems with my stay. The hotel was easy to find and my room was ready when I checked in. It more of an apartment feel than a hotel room, which I quite liked. The room was immaculate as was the hotel in general. The bed was comfortable and didn't feel […] like the mattress had been used for years. As good as the surrounding neighbourhood was, being safe and within easy reach of shops and cash machines and as nice as the hotel was, my lasting memory was the friendliness of the staff. The lack of disabled facilities is the only negative I could point out so if you have significant mobility problems, this hotel probably isn't for you though they do openly say so. Hotel is grand in architecture and decor, full of character, and extremely clean. 3 Metro lines and even an Aerobus stop within a 5-block radius. Few restaurants or markets are on the same block as the hotel, but many tourist attractions and popular avenues are accessible within a short stroll. As with any hostel, you must wait your turn for an available […] bathroom, but the showers have fantastic heat and pressure, and guest rooms do have private sinks (cold tap only). Wi-Fi reliability and download capability generally very good. Would stay again when on a budget, although certain limitations might explain the low price, e.g. one of the toilets is so close to the opposite wall, a taller person like me cannot sit down; the wardrobe drawers won't open because they run into the built-in basins; the frequent door bell buzzer (rings late and early) is as audible in the guest room as in the reception hall; 2 security lightbulbs inside the guest room stay distractingly bright all hours, etc. Läs mer

Hotel was a little difficult to spot only has a small bronze plaque on the side. Need to ring the buzzer. Once let in you are in lobby with staircases there are no further signs but you need to keep going up the stairs near the lift. The room was comfortable, very clean with a TV and even an air conditioning unit. Room looked out over main street but […] because of mass of trees had a limited view. Location was good not far from Girona Metro station with access to the city, was also not too far to walk to Sagrada Familia 15-20 mins. I did not have en suite but the shower and toilet nearby was very clean and functional. Hotel has a lot of character fairly basic but ideal for a stop over and was value for money. We enjoyed our stay very much. Once the shutters were closed up, the room was very quiet and loved the high ceilings and big tall windows looking out on little balcony. Easy to find and come back to for a rest.The shower was tiny, but the rather funny and it worked well, that is the main thing.Owners were very pleasant and nice and clean.

Had no complaints about this stay. Using the vintage elevator is alone worth the visit! From here one can get to most places in town by foot without too much effort. Lots of character. Easy walk from the bus station. Very nice modern cafe within a few blocks. Nearly equidistant from block of discord, the arc and other sites.

Location is pretty good for touristy stuff - Placa Catalunya is only 10 minutes away. However the fact that the whole hotel was an apartment makes you hear every flush of a toilet, every door slam. We could even hear the whole conversation in the room next door, even though noone was yelling.

Awesome find in the center of Barcelona. We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and loved the decore, the old stairway leading up to the 2nd floor, the pink walls, everything. Lorenzo was the most helpful person in our need after my purse was stolen. He let us use his office, his computer, etc. He even lent me money until I could pick up transfers. I only stayed one night at the Girona before travelling south to a music festival in Benicassim. I was looking for somewhere cheap, close to the metro that was clean and comfortable. The Girona certainly ticked all boxes for me. Whilst not in the greatest of locations it is close to the Arc de Triomf Metro station and fairly easy to find. It is located […] in a quiet residential area so there aren't a great deal of facilities close by but they are easily found within a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely, a beautiful accomodation, with a mixture of both traditional and contemporary decor. The hotel seems to be a converted private wealthy residence and it is quite charming. The hotel is made out of stone and wooden floors, walls and accents and there is a old, antique elevator. Because of the stone, noise seem to echo and there was loud rumbling when water is used in the bathroom so bring your ear plugs! The staff were very friendly and always willing to assist with any queries I had. The location was fairly near the centre of Barcelona and was within walking distance of the Rambla and Gran Via and the Metro. this is a hostel - so shared bathroom, etc was expected. The room was not modern or refurbished, but was quite comfortable (with a newly refurbished sink area). The bathrooms we experienced all over the hostel were newly refurbished and GORGEOUS. The staff was friendly and helpful. the location can NOT be beat! definitely recommend!

Although this hotel was satisfying in terms of location, cleanliness and staff, I also had a few issues with it. For example, the heating was on all night and I couldn't sleep, even though I asked the man at the front desk to turn it off. Moreover, I was woken up several times in the night because the lady of the house cleaned the shared bathrooms at […] two in the morning and then again at seven. I think I was unlucky with where my room was located. Furthermore, when I printed off everything from hotel.com, the map, address and phone number were all wrong, which confused me. The location of the hostal is along a quiet street but Plaza Catalunya is within walking distance. Hostal staff speaks English and is helpful. Room and common bathrooms are clean. There is a little balcony in my room but you may hear the traffic noise from the street. Satalite TV and wifi work well. This was a fantastic little hotel, just a very short walk from La Rambla street, and maybe 10 minutes walk from Gaudi's famous 'Segrada Famila'. WARNING -> this hotel is nearest to Marina Metro stop! We read on this site that it was closer to PableNou and another, which couldn't be further from the truth! Rooms were clean and the hotel is in a good location, but the walls are very very thin. Every cough and every mumble can be heard to the next room. Also the rooms with a balcony might suffer from cigarette smells if they are unlucky with the neighbour.

Vi syntes Hostel Girona var veldig bra med trivelig og hjelpsom betjening. Rommet vårt var det noe begrensning på,men vi så at det var bedre som.Vi overnatter gjerne der igjen.Meget godt renhold og ypperlig beliggenhet.

Hotellet var OK for å være i dette prissiktet, det som trekker opp er at gaten utenfor hotellet var forholdsvis rolig. Hotellet har også en fantastisk eldre heis, som er verdt et besøk i seg selv. Rommet, madrassen og dynen kunne med fordel ha vært renere.

Lå lidt mystisk inde bag en port, op af flere trapper - virkede meget "privat". Første møde var heller ikke synderligt "velkomment", men det hele fungerede, som det skulle, og værelse og toilet var rent og pænt. Lokationen var rigtig god; ti minutters gang til Plaça de Catalunya.

Jeg og min kone havde 7 gode overnatninger på dette hostel. God beliggenhed, ok værelse, nogen - men ikke meget generende trafik, en lille balkon med fyldt med airconditionanlæg og fin rengøring.

Hotel hübsch anzuschauen, pittoresk und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Inhaber sehr freundlich, Dame an der Rezeption jedoch äußerst unfreundlich. Begrüßt einen nicht und redet das maximal nötigste. Hotel schlecht zu finden, nach dem Eingangsbereich der Treppe zwei Stockwerke folgen, oder 1. OG im Aufzug drücken. Nous avons été très indisposés par le bruit des voisins du dessus ou d'autres voyageurs des chambres voisines, bruits de conduites d'eau et d'abattants de wc claqués en pleine nuit et éclats de voix et de rire. La chambre était très sombre (besoin d'allumer les lampes même en pleine journée), pas de lit double ni de toilettes dans la chambre seule une […] petite douche et un lavabo. Hôtel convenable, pour le rapport qualité/prix, il est bien placé même s'il est un peu difficile à trouvé du fait qu'il n'est pas visible depuis la rue. Pas de service de petit déjeuné et toilette/douche sur le palier (très propre), très bon accueil et conseille pour les visites.

Excelente hotel, quarto espaçoso, banheiro compartilhado, mas muito bom. Hotel muito limpo. Super bem localizado, próxima a praça Catalunya que dá acesso a pé para Las Ramblas e Passeig de Gracía, Casa Batló e Milá... e estação de metrô perto.
