Bra läge, nära nära Metro o mataffär. Superliten hiss om man har barnvagn går det ej. Ingenstans att värma vatten till barnmat/välling. Verkligen blandad service av personalen - dagpersonal mkt bra, nattpersonal ogästvänlig.

Bra läge med kort avstånd till många sevärdheter. Väldigt trevliga småaffärer i närheten. Dock väldigt liten säng för 2 vuxna.

This... was not a very nice hotel. Extremely small room, gross rug, moldy shower curtain, itty-bitty shower, no temperature control except the windows... You get the picture. But nobody goes to Paris to sit in their hotel room, and for crashing at the end of a long day of sightseeing it was fine. We were really satisfied with hotel Voltaire Republique. The room was small, but if you go to Paris mainly to see some monuments and you are at the hotel only for the purpose of sleeping, it's sufficient. The service was perfect. Nice receptionist, every day new towel in bathroom.. Hotel Voltaire isn't the nicest place, but it gets the job done if you need a place to stay while you see the sites in Paris. There is very basic internet service for a fee, and a hairdryer by request. The room is barebones, but it gives you a place to stay for not too bad a price.

Nice and central. Weird long pillows made it hard to sleep. No free wireless internet. Good for a short stay.

Like you, I read hotel reviews before I make a booking. And even when there are quite a few negative reviews I try and give the benefit of the doubt. Some people just have unrealistic expectations, don't they? And, of course, people are much more likely to leave a review if they've had a poor experience than if they were satisfied. Well that's what I though when I booked this hotel after having read the feedback from other underwhelmed visitors to The Hotel Voltaire Republique. So my expectations were low, but I figured it would do the job for a crash-pad in a central location for two back-packers on a tight budget. However, this place is beyond 'no-frills'. On the plus side, the poor chaps on the 24h desk spoke good English and were as helpful as required and the location is fairly central and very close to the Metro. However, all the carpets and bed linen in this place should have been incinerated at least a couple of decades ago. (Every sheet, blanket and cover had cigarette burns and we wore flip-flops to avoid walking on the carpet after a shower). The shower cubicle was missing its doors, so we ended up with a minor flood every morning. There was often cigarette smoke in the halls. There's also a rumble from the metro and road but I suppose that's the price you'll pay anywhere for a similar location. This is the 2nd worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The 1st was similar but had no glass in the windows. Do yourself a favour. Even if you're only looking for somewhere basic to spend the night, try somewhere else. Läs mer

By looking at the pictures they have posted you think it is a romantic small Paris hotel. Think Twice!!! It is old, outdated building with the horrible smell in the room. My wife wanted to run when she saw the room! Motel 6 should have 5 stars when compared to that one. Bad, bad bad!!!

My two kids and I stayed at Hotel Voltaire for 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is really well located for easy access to all the attractions of Paris. Staff were really helpful when asked for information and we felt at home away from our home in Tasmania Australia. WHAT A DUMP. Mold in the shower. Shower drain did not drain fast enough to keep up with the shower. Some sort of loud plastic cover on the bed which drove me crazy until I thought it might be protecting me from whatever is in the mattress. Shower would NOT stay hot. Ended two showers rinsing with straight cold water. Told staff about it and they told […] me that I probably was not using it correctly. Walls so thin that when the people next door peed I thought it was directly on my head. The brochure says that wifi in included with the room.................................sure as long as you pay extra for it. Light bulbs missing from lamp. Towels that were thin, fraying and felt like cardboard. If you like to use a pillow than ask for one or two at the desk. Dingy hallways, unlit and many fire doors. I wasn't expecting a great deal from this hotel after having read reviews elsewhere but the Voltaire Republique was OK as a basic hotel. The room was clean and bed comfortable. In-room TV showing all French channels but included HD ones. Bathroom was very basic with small shower. No curtain so water went everywhere. Skikkelig guffent hotell. Rommet var forsåvidt ok, men badet var fult av mugg på veggene. Hånklende var skitten, og renholdet var elendig. Mye støy fra gaten.

Grundsätzlich den Erwartungen eines günstigen Hotels in Zentrumsnähe entsprechend. 2 Kritikpunkte:1. Es musste zu Beginn unterschrieben werden und die Buchung wurde sogleich via Kreditkarte verrechnet, und nicht wie auf Hotels.com angegeben, am Schluss des Aufenthalts. 2. Der Haarfön war absolut gruusig.

j'ai déja dormis dans des hôtel a paris , le mieux que je peut dire a ce prix la , y'a en pas souvent , les deux dernier hotels que j'ai prix j'ai regreté d'être venue , mais la j'avoue je conseil le détour , la chambre sympa , avec la télé et une femme de chambre qui passe chaque jours pourrais t'on demandé mieux non , un service de nuit 24/24h j'ai […] pas connue souvent , je conseil vivement , mais les seul bémole c'est l asenceur un peu trop étroit mais bon a pas cela rien a redire de + Läs mer

Bien que très bien situé, proximité métro Oberkampf, proche Place de la République, et à un tarif abordable, la qualité de la chambre laissait vraiement à redire... Moquette très sale, tachée, forte odeur de transpiration partout, la tée d'oreiller pas nette, et le protège matelas : une horreur : odeur quasi insupportable, auréoles bizarres, bref nécessiterait […] pour le moins un pur et simple remplacement ! Die Betreiber sind freundlich, ansonsten ist das Hotel total runtergekommen, hätte in D maximal 1 Stern. Mein Zimmer war in einem schlechten Zustand aber sauber, was mir am Wichtigsten ist. Nach meinen Erfahrungen ist dies ein typisches Pariser Hotel in dieser Preisklasse.

파리에 8번째 방문하는 거였는데, 호텔 위치도 괜찮고 시설도 나쁘지 않았는데 베드버그가 있었습니다. 청결 문제이기도 하지만,, 머 제가 운이 나쁜것이라 생각하기도 해서 그냥 지냈는데, 나중에는 너무 가렵고 아파서 잠이 안올 지경이더군요. 소독을 해주긴 했는데...유럽에서도 베드버그가 사회적 문제가 되었다고 하잖아요.. 개인적으로 벌레에 안 물리도록(저는 6일 내내 벌레가 물어서 밤에 무서워서 잠도 못잤다는...) 개인적인 준비를 해간단면 편하게 지낼 수 있을 것 같습니다. (참고로 제 동생은 한군데도 물리지 않았어요, 계속 무는 사람만 문다는 베드버그..-0-;;) 그 외에 직원들의 친절도는 매우 만족합니다.

Très correct dans l'ensemble. On ne peut certainement pas exiger plus à ce prix là. Confortable et bien situé, cet hôtel vous suffira s'il est juste question d'y passer quelques nuits.

I spent there 6 days and to be honest I was quite worried what to expect after I read some reviews. The room was clean, bathroom as well - no smell or mould and they cleaned room and towels every day. Furniture and fridge was a bit old but nothing terrible. If you'll stay in the first two floors be ready to sleep with your windows shut as the road and […] people can be quite noisy. Big metro station Republique is like 5 mins away and there is a small metro station Oberkampf just in front of the hotel. To the centre (Hotel d'Ville) it is just like 15 mins by feet. Velmi dobře situovaný hotel splňující potřeby běžného turisty. Lze jen doporučit.

Proche de la place de la République et du métro. Confort limite pour y passer une seule nuit (si vous y restez 2 nuits, on ne vous renouvellera pas les savonnettes, par exemple...) Pas d'oreillers ni de meuble pour y poser vos valises. Mauvaise insonorisation des chambres. Reste son prix attractif pour un hôtel au coeur de Paris, proche du métro, […] avec douche et sanitaires dans la chambre. Läs mer

Hotellet passer ikke på de billeder der vises. Badeværelset er fuld af skimmelsvamp. Fliserne er lappet sammen, men det værste er alle myrerne som også var i vores seng. Natten var kold og vi forsøgte at tænde for varmen, men den var lukket selvom det er starten af April mdr. Generelt et beskidt hotel som ikke kan anbefales, og slet ikke til den pr […] is. Läs mer

Nogle af værelserne er meget små, med meget små senge. At kalde det for nyrenoveret er vist en overdrivelse, værelserne er måske blevet malet og lidt nye møbler monteret for et par år siden. Vi betalte ekstra for at få et bedre og større værelse.
