Hello everyone, I can really reccomend Domus Diana. The hotel is situated close to Collosseum and you can easily walk to the main attractions (as we walked all over the town :). The room and the service was perfect! Diana is very kind. The beds were good, the room was 100% clean and was cleaned every morning, the bathroom was new and clean and we got […] new towels every day! The breakfast was included with coffe, croissant or cereal but we choose to go to a coffe shop in the morning sitting in the sun!! My other half thought it was sometimes too noisy as the room was towards the street so he slept with his headphones once or twice. I was not bothered by the noise on the other hand. Rent och fräscht men enkel standard. Receptionen endast bemannad på morgonen, men då kan man få många tips och goda råd av Diana som var väldigt hjälpsam. Centralt beläget, nära Centralstation, Colosseum och tunnelbana. Vårt rum saknade strykjärn och strykbräda. Ganska lyhört och mycket ljud från gatan utanför vissa kvällar. Diana kallade "hotellet" […] för bed and breakfast (fast utan frukost) vilket passar bättre tycker jag. Man har högre förväntningar på något som kallas hotell. Rummet saknade TV men fri wi-fi finns. Hotellet lever verkligen upp till tidigare recensioner! Bra service, stora fräscha rum + toalett och nära till allt men behöver se. Finns inget att klaga på.

Mycket trevligt litet hotell. Nära till Termini (centralstationen). Trevliga rum med fint badrum. Ett allrum med kyl och spisplattor, ingen kyl på rummet. Ingen bemannad reception, en man mötte upp oss när vi anlände och vi fick en knippe nycklar sen gick det två dagar innan vi stötte på nån igen så vi kunde göra upp med betalningen. Ett helt fantastiskt litet hotell. Rent och snyggt. Bra läge och väldigt prisvärt!

Allt var jättebra, Diana är väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam, men vill man prata med henne är det bäst på morgnarna annars är hon inte där. Men hon har en telefon man kan nå henne på alltid om man undrar något. Rummen var rymliga och fräscha och städade varje dag och man får rena handdukar varje dag. Det finns vattenkokare och te på rummet och även i det […] gemensamma köket finns det kaffe och andra nödvändigheter. Man kan köpa yoghurt och annat och ha i kylen, perfekt om man vill äta sig egen frukost innan man drar ut på stan. Hotellet låg nära Metro och Colosseum bara 5 min promenad genom en park som har ett cafe man kan stanna till på vägen hem om man vill, Colle Oppio eller Domus Aurea låg den vid, det står på kartan som Diana har på hotellet. Colosseum och Palatino är bäst att se, det andra är ingenting i jämförelse. Läs mer

I stayed at Domus Diana for 5 nights in September. The hotel is newly decorated, very clean and fresh. The owner is very friendly and helpful and helped with guidance and taxk-bookings etc. The hotel is very close to Colusseum and within walking distance to most other things. The breakfast is the only thing that was a bit disappointing but there are […] many nice cafés outside the door and a supermarket where you can buy your own and keep in the hotel fridge. Good location, good price. Was added bonus to get coffee and a croissant each morning before going sightseeing. Free WiFi is an addition benefit which we used to help plan our days.

Our stay was wonderful. The only "negative" is that the air conditioning could have been more effective. Diana and her staff were the greatest. Housekeeping was excellent and the location was perfect. The neighborhood was conducive to quiet (for Rome) evening walks with reasonable access to transportation and neighborhood restaurants. We stayed 3 nights in Rome .Diana was very helpful and professional . Domus Diana is very centrally located could really walk (about an hour) to most of the places of interest. The metro is also very close by 10 min walk. The Room/toilet excellent . The room we stayed in was very restful. The little kitchen et was very well equipped with a fridge, stove […] , sink, a few pans cutlery and basic crockery . The hotel was in a great location, very close to Colosseum and other Rome sights. It was clean and comfortable and convenient, Would recommend it to anyone.

The room was perfect, very comfortable especially after a long day walking around Rome. Very clean and modern. There was a bit of noise from the theatre opposite the hotel but that didn't stop us from getting a good night's sleep. The shared kitchen was very useful. However the service we recieved was terrible. We didn't even meet the owner, the only […] communication we had with what we think were members of staff but may have just been some friends or family of hers was when we were shown to our room and when someone came to pick up the money for the room. If I hadn't text the owner of the hotel the night before we left to arrange payment I don't know how she would have taken it. I chose this hotel for the reviews saying that the owner was great and helpful when giving advice on getting around Rome and where to go etc. Unfortunately I never got to see that side of the service. Other than that the room was perfect and the location is great, five minutes to the Colleseum and five minutes to the Metro which is the best way to get around. Läs mer

Few steps away from the colosium. Diana was so helpful and a very nice person. Very clean tidy rooms recently renovated. We enjoyed a lot.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was a bit difficult to find at first because there is no sign hanging outside - keep an eye out for the house number. The receptionist spoke little English, but enough to communicate the important things. He was friendly and helpful. The room was well decorated and all of the amenities worked well (our room […] did not have an iron/ironing board combo), except for the hairdryer which had been glued to the lowest setting by a previous occupant. The room was tended to daily - I say "tended to" because it was not necessarily cleaned. The garbage was emptied and the toilet paper and tiny packets of shampoo/body wash replenished, but that's it. The floors were very dusty for the duration of our stay, but otherwise the room was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the comforter soft and warm. Wifi is only available in the lounge. One downside is that noise travels very well in this hotel, so it was quite noisy in the morning. On the upside, the location of the hotel was great and is in close proximity to lots of sites and Metro stations - a 10 minute walk from Termini, 10 minute walk from the Colosseum. There are good restaurants and cafes nearby as well. If you are looking for something more than a bed, table, toilet and shower on your vacation, then this is not the place for you. Läs mer

Lovely little hotel. Very convenient to the Colleseum and most other areas. We never got to meet Diana but the other workers were very helpful. One criticism would be that the room we were in was a bit noisy in the mornings with passing traffic. Lovely restaurants down stairs and across the road.

We loved our stay at Domus Diana. It was a wonderfull hotel close to all sights. Diana was very nice. The rooms had a good size and it was clean. Restuarants close by were very good. Such a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. I loved the neighborhood and the rooms were BEAUTIFUL and incredibly clean. Comfy bed. :-) Diana was a GEM. We adored her as well as the maid on staff. They were both incredibly friendly, helpful and accomodating. When you arrive you will see 2 huge locked wooden doors...there is a call button to the right. Look for Domus […] Diana and then hit the button for them to buzz you in. You will get keys to all of the doors after you arrive. WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!! Thank you Diana!!!!!!!! The hotel is conveniently located near the termini station and there's a metro stop around 5 minutes away. It's in a lovely little neighbourhood and part of a very secure apartment block. You'll find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby but we didn't eat in them. We enjoyed walking round all the little back streets and finding quiet, non touristy […] places where the food and drink is half the price. Back to the hotel, we were welcomed by Diana's friendly cleaner who showed us to our room and did a superb job of looking after our room every day. We had clean towels every day although one day we had no towels left but a phone call to Diana on the mobile she leaves you quickly sorted this out. The rooms are modern, spacious and very clean and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced stay for fantastic standards. Thanks Diana for a pleasant stay! We enjoyed our host and our stay here. We also appreciated the common kitchen area, so we could keep yogurt and cereal etc for breakfasts at "home". The accommodations were nice and modern and right around the corner from a street with restaurants and stores etc. They also provided a map of Rome and told us about what subways to take to get places etc […] which was very helpful. Very enjoyable stay at Domus Diana. Staff very friendly and helpful, shared kitchen well stocked with utensils etc and useful for a break from the pizza/pasta routine! Air conditioning in room vital for the summer months, no TV but with the location and proximity to attractions there is little need for one.

When we arrived, it was difficult to figure out where to go because it is basically an apartment building, however, Marco, the building porter called Diana, the hotel-apartment owner-manager, who let us in. We did not know what to expect until we went into the place. It is basically one big apartment that has been turned into a hotel by separating the […] rooms and installing full bathrooms for every room. The rooms themselves are large, comfortable, clean, airy, with modern furnishings. The bathrooms have new modern fixtures and are equally clean. The huge plus was the A/C in the room. It was 90 degrees plus outside everyday we were in Rome, and having A/C in the room was wonderful. Food in the shared kitchen area available to all guests no extra charge including bread, pastries, yogurt and coffee for breakfast. Rooms were cleaned and towels replaced daily. Diana was very helpful in pointing us to the city's attractions, transportation, and dining options. Rome's red metro line has a station 3 blocks away and it stops at most tourist areas. It is not a "hotel" hotel, don't expect someone at the front desk at all times. It is more like staying at a friend's place who gave you the keys to their cool apartment. There is a cell phone available at the common area that you can use to call Diana when she's not around and she will gladly help you with anything you need (get you a taxi to the airport for example). In looking at past positive reviews, we decided to try a hotel that was not part of a chain. The room was clean, modern, and close to everything. The only problem is the theater across the street, We are not sure if it is a nightly issue, but we were awoken (once at 1:30 a.m.) up two nights in a row to loud cheering and screams as the dancers exited […] the building. Domus Diana is a really nice and cosy. Diana is very friendly and helps with Rome map and hints. The rooms are very nice and clean and you are getting each day new towels. The positive thing of this hotel is that it's clean, only 10 min's walk from the colisée, and the host is quite nice. BUT the price is way to expensive for such a small ''hotel'' (it's not a real hotel). no tv, no bath tube, no breakfast, no wifi (that's really inconvenient when u travel...) and the hotel doesn't accept the card, u have to pay in cash […] which is not practical... A pleasant little hotel with a charming owner. Good location, with the Colosseum and the metro both within short walking distances. Plenty of shops and traditional eating places nearby (though I wouldn't recommend the one right next to the hotel). The room was decent - nothing special, but good value for money, and kept tidy throughout our stay. Diana […] was also helpful in every way possible, and provided basic breakfast as well, though if you're after something more filling, you'd probably have to rely on yourself, with the kitchen and fridge being available to use. The one big negative point was the absence of internet. We were told that this will be fixed very soon... that won't help us on this occasion, though if this issue is resolved, then we'd definitely consider booking again, should we be back in Rome.
