The hotel is clean; the staff attentive with excellent English language skills. If you like a walk and don't mind exploring a city on foot - which I feel is the best way - then this is the place for you. It is about two miles from the city centre, but the surrounding neighbourhood is clean and safe. The hotel rooms are unique and makes the whole Madrid […] experience even better - which is hard as Madrid is stunning. Personally, next time I will go closer to the city centre, but this neighbourhood is well worth exploring. Excellent cafe's and tapa's bars line your walk home every night. Make sure you take a decent pair of trainers, walking shoes; my legs did hurt a little after three days on treking, but I still feel it was worth it. The hotel was mainly used by people on buisness, but this did not affect the atmosphere; suit and ties still want a drink at the end of the day. The breakfast was excellent and fresh. The hotel was modern, clean, tidy, had excellent staff, and a good breakfast. The food and drinks are no more expensive than anyother cafe or bar in the city. The only negitive is the distance from the centre. It's only two miles, give or take, but it is a hard two miles, especially when it is 18 degrees. I went in low season - the high season in Spain […] is the end of March until the end of October. I don't mind walking, but after a day of walking around the city and it's art galleries, the walk home was a killer - fortunately there are a few bars and cafes to stop off at. The area is considered one of the wealthiest in Madrid but around the hotel I found it relativily cheap for a capital city - cheaper than Barcelona surprisingly. If you are on a business trip or want a hotel which is fairly quiet at night, this is the correct choice. If it's your first time in the city, then go for one nearer the centre. The bar is closed on Monday's, but I imagine this is only in low season. After a day of treking over the city, and the route march back to base, I had a selection of about 30 channels on the television for free, aswell as around 12 free films. All in all, a very good experience - I can't complain. The towels were changed daily, I had a good bed, clean sheets, and the place was relativily quiet. The Dormirdcine Hotel is located near the Avenida de America metro station, one of the main communication hubs in Madrid. This means good access to the whole city and the airport without having to put up with agglomerations of downtown. The rooms are decorated in an unique and modernistic way. Great little boutique hotel, it was very clean and breakfast was nice. All the rooms are different and intriguing, i didn't love my Woody Allen room as i'm not a big fan, would have preferred the Mary Poppins room but it was clean and very modern. It was near to the centre approx 10 mins in a taxi or a 5 min walk to the metro. Great little find.

This hotel is indeed COOL! The rooms are designed in a uber modern way! Art is really cool and I loved the movies concept. One, very important thing, and this is very unusual for hotels....their food is REALLY good and inexpensive. I have never seen this in a hotel that looked this cool. The breakfast buffet was good and I even had dinner once in a […] hote which was awesome and a 4 course dinner came out undre 20 euros. How cool is that! This hotel is the best place to stay if you are interested in shopping in Madrid more than seeing the history and culture since it a short walk away from Salamanca. BUT, the hotel is far from everything, and I mean FAR! The rooms are really small and the beds are tiny...the only redeeming quality is that they do give you a lot of pillows! I liked this hotel. 14 of us stayed there for 2 days in July. Metro station is 5 minutes away. Neighborhood lacks of a good and affordable restaurants choice. Rooms are perfect (good size and nice unusual decor). Receptionists lacked of class in general (or maybe of a decent hotel training). Would recommend anyways.

I had a hard time booking a car, the hotel receptionist helped me do it with the Spanish agency and kept on trying to get me the best deals in town. Great service all around and the rooms theme are great... very convenient location and safe.

The decor was amusing, the restaurant food was reasonably priced, local and covered parking is available, the staff were helpful and courteous, the room clean and properly equipped including broadband, there were original films on the in-house TV service at no extra cost, and the price was ridiculously low for the city of Madrid. The only downside […] I can imagine for some tourists is that the hotel is a short trip from the town center ... but with a metro which costs 1 euro to go anywhere, and a metro station just around the corner, It;'s not a problem, and the metro ride is part of the Madrid experience too. Charming, very comfortable, spotless, with character: this place isn't going to stay such a bargain too long. Perfect for a calm a leisurely visit to Madrid. The location, in fact, is quite good, though it is not in the thick of things. Good to the metro and to the airport (either by metro, or by bus from the Ave de Americas bus station), a short walk […] to the shops on Serrano, to Museo Lazaro Galdiano and Fundacion Juan March, only a bit longer to the National Arqueological Museum and the National Library. My only reason to put less than the perfect mark for location is that Barrio Salamanca is beyond burgeois, almost embarassingly so. It is Madrid at its spiffiest: and most retrograde. Even the protest stickers on the walls around here are, mostly, fascist (though, of course, one can't blame this hotel for this :) ). You'd have to take the metro to livelier/less "reactionary" parts of town. A little peeve: please keep more North American-to-European adapters for rechargin things; in my 2 days here they could only offer me the British-to-European adapter, which didn't do the trick, obviously. Honestly, if you do not want to spend thousands of dollars in a hotel but still want a nice place, this is the site to be!!! Clean, gracious, original and great location!! Close to everything!! I liked it very much!!

A very different hotel with all the art work to look at could keep you busy for hours. The room was very good with comfortable bed and ameneties as well as the staff being very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast was well worth the little bit extra we paid. If i go to Madrid again i would most certainly make a return stay.

Hotel muy diferente, comodo y practico. buen desayuno a buen precio. Parking cerca del hotel, no muy caro para ser Madrid.

Buen hotel con planteamiento diferente a la mayoría (películas gratis, wifi gratis, habitación decorada, etc.). La habitación es funcional y con lo justo pero la cama era buena y la limpieza impecable. Respecto a su situación, como siempre en una ciudad grande, depende. Muy bien para la zona de Castellana/negocios, no tan bien si vas al teatro a Gran […] Vía, pero en cualquier caso hay muchos autobuses, metros y taxis cerca. Läs mer

"Cine" hentyder til at udsmykningen på hotellet er filminspireret. Det er sådan set meget fint. Værelserne er rummelige og sengene gode. Men hotellet ligger langt fra alting, og den nærmeste metro tager det ca. 15 minutter at gå til. Restauranten er intet værd. Stilige, kule rom med særegenhet. Litt dårlig rengjøring i form av hår og støv på badegulvet, men sånt blir jo ekstra synlig når alt er hvitt. Ellers var jo alt rent og fresht. Valgte hotellet fordi det er lett å komme seg til og fra flyplassen med metro (ca 20 min), og greit å komme seg til sentrum. Bra frokost til å være i Spania.

El personal era muy amable, ademas pedí otra tarjeta por que mi pareja llego más tarde y sin ningun problema la guardaron en recepción para cuando llegara. Me dieron para elegir la habitación ya que son todas diferentes, la habitación que elegí era muy original, pequeña pero no hacía falta más. La cama muy cómoda y grande. La decoración de TODO el hotel […] una pasada !! Lo unico "malo" es que si quieres desayunar sin que hayas cogido una habitacion+desayuno, es MUY caro... LO RECOMIENDO !! Läs mer

L'hôtel est à peu près à une demie heure à pied de tout: grands musées (Prado, Reina Sofia, stade Bernabeu, arènes Las Ventas. Les chambres sont amusantes, modernes (l'hotel est neuf et branché), toutes différentes, styles ciné-BD. Partie lavabo un peu petite, mais pas grave. Bref, un excellent rapport qualité/prix/coolitude.

Hotel très calme et très joli, chaque chambre est décorée différemment. L'hôtel est tout neuf, la literie est toute neuve, la salle de bain est toute neuve. Le chauffage ne fait aucun bruit. Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The rooms are nice though a little small. The location is a little far from where the interesting things are for tourists

Me gustan los hoteles que me den "gozada". De cuidado diseño, decoración moderna, limpios... Es decir, éste. Además me ha salido muy bien de precio porque cogí la oferta de hoteles. La próxima vez que vaya a Madrid, si vuelvo a ver esa oferta, la cojo de nuevo.

La temática del cine esta presente en todas las habitaciones. Muy limpio, agradable y comodo

Meget anderledes hotel indretning, som gjorde det til en af de oplevelser vi ikke lige vil glemme. Havde læst anmeldelser af hotellet. Desværre levede servicen ikke helt op til disse. Personalet virkede irritable, i sær i restauranten. Der gik lang tid inden service og buffet blev fyldt op og hvad der sikkert skulle virke smart af en selvbetjent kaffemaskine, […] gav lange køer. Ved udtjekning ville de charge os for drikkevare vi ikke havde taget i minibaren. Heldigvis var det ikke hotellet vi kom for, men skuffelsen over at det ikke levede op til det vi havde læst (og forventet), overskygger lidt helheldsoplevelsen. Generelt ligger hotellet godt i et lækkert område med gå afstand til det meste. Metro og bus fungerer fint. Værelset var rent og pænt og skal man bare have et sted at sove og synes det kunne være sjovt med et anderledes hotel er det super. Läs mer

Wij hebben 3 nachten geslapen in het hotel. Hadden de Austin Powels room. Maar alle kamers zagen er leuk uit, hebben zoveel mogelijk naar binnen gespiekt als de deuren open stonden. je waant je echt in Hollywood. Super hotel. wel een half uurtje lopen van Colon, wist niet dat de pricipe vergera zo lang was en helaas ligt het hotel helemaal boven aan. […] Maar een lekker stukje lopen is in deze buurt ook niet verkeerd. Hotel agradable, de buen diseño, buenos servicios, trato muy agradable y precio excepcional. Bien situado y con buenas comunicaciones. Wifi Gratis y bastante razonable y lote de películas gratuitas en la TV. Muy recomendable.

Gestionado estupendamente por Marian, es un hotel acogedor, de línea moderna, funcional y concepto cinéfilo que engancha. Además, ofrecen pack de películas como alternativa a la aburrida programación de tv. Excelente hotel en relación calidad-precio-ubicación, con una plantilla joven, educada y de atención al cliente cuidada.

der Aufenthalt im Hotel war rundum gelungen. Vom freundlichen Empfang, der kurzfristigen Bereitstellung des Zimmers trotz früher Anreise, bis zum Zimmer und dem Frühstück. Die Auswahl bei letzterem ist nicht sehr groß, aber dem Preis mehr als angemessen. Sehr schön auch die individuell gestalteten Zimmer nach Filmen / Regisseuren / Schauspielern. Infos […] zu den Künstlern gibt es via TV auf dem Zimmer. Auch eine schöne Idee. Habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und das Hotel ist erste Wahl bei einem erneuten Aufenthalt in Madrid! Läs mer

El hotel está a 200 metros de la estación de autobuses y metro. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y muy originales. La cama es cómoda y grande. Ha sido una buena experiencia. Lo recomiendo!!!!
