We stayed at the Augustinenhof during low season (feb) so we hardly saw any other guests. That didn't bother us one bit! The staff were very nice, they changed our room so we could have wifi, they turned on the sauna for us when we got "home" from a cold day in Berlin (highly recommended) and they were very friendly! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because of the price (12 euro / person) but there were plenty of früchstück-places nearby. The only negative thing was the old tv and the lack of channels other than german. But who spends their days in front of the tv when in Berlin?! We would definetely stay at the Augustinenhof again!

Mitte, tidigare centrum i Östberlin, är delad i mitten av gatan Unter den Linden och här finns många kyrkor, museum, teatrar och minnesmärken.TV-tornet Fernsehturm vid Alexanderplatz har den bästa utsikten över Berlin.Här finns bland annat Pergamon, National Gallery, Bode och Old Museum.Det röda stadshuset och katedralen ligger nära alla museum.

Vi bodde där i 4 nätter och vi är super nöjda. Stor fräsch lägenhet med jätte sköna sängar och sänglakan. Trevlig personal! Ligger flera bra restauranger på samma gata, speciellt en pizzeria (som jag tyvärr glömt namnet på) ligger på en höjd 4 min ftån hotellet. Bästa pizzan vi någonsin ätit! "Trevlig lägenhet i trevligt område men ingen hiss."
Ingen hiss finns och vårt rum var på 3. våningen (det finns 4!). På hemsidan framgår att hotellet inte är för handicappade, men för att komma upp alla trappor med bagage och inköpspåsar är inte helt lätt för de som är äldre.Verifierad gästrecension

"Old Town Apts. - inte alls som på bilderna"
På vägen till Berlin blev vi uppringda av en engelsktalande representant för Hotels.com, han hade av hotellet blivit ombedd att ringa oss och be oss ringa hotellet 30 minuter före ankomst. Hotellets nummer fanns inte med på bokningen så jag fick ringa på hotel.com's svenska nummer för att få fram hotellets nummer. Efter som väglaget var riktigt illa […] valde jag att ringa hotellet från en restaurang ca 45 minuter innan ankomst, och då bad de oss ringa igen när vi var 10 km därifrån... Ganska mycket ringande alltså! Väl på plats blev vi visade en lägenhet på tredje våningen, trots vi hade ett barn på tre år med oss. Detta framgick ju naturligtvis av vår bokning, men det hade det tydligen inte tagits någon notis om. Parkering fanns på gatan till en kostnad av 1 euro/timme mellan 9.00 och 24.00. Parkeringshus fanns 100 m därifrån, men det stängde 21.30 fram till morgonen. Hotellet har alltså inga egna platser. Det blev lång väg att gå i mycket snö med väskor och barn, för att sen behöva klättra upp till tredje våningen med allt bagage. Låter kanske gnälligt, men det är ett gammalt hus med långa trappor. Den lägenheten vi fick ser inte alls ut som på någon av bilderna, utan påminner mer om ett slitet vandrarhem. Värmen var avstängd i lägenheten när vi kom, så det tog ett par timmar innan det blev varmt. Vi är alltså inte nöjda, och kommer definitivt inte återkomma. "Centralt & billig lägenhet"
Låg en tunnelbanestation från Alexander-platz som är den centrala delen av den östra sidan. Och den närmsta tunnelbannestationen låg ca 100 m från lägenheterna. Rosa-Luxemburg. Handdukar och sängkläder ingick i priset, samt städning. Trevlig personal. Helt okej boende!Verifierad gästrecension
"Nice flat in a good location"
We stayed in the apartment at the beginning of 2013. It was easy to contact the staff on arrival who were friendly and very helpful. The studio flat was clean, neat and tidy. The heating was very good. The kitchen was basic but had more than enough for 4 people for holiday time. The flat was very quiet ( except on new years eve- but that is accepted). […] It faced a middle courtyard so even though it was on a main road we didn't hear the traffic or the tram. Tha flat is walking distance to the underground stop (actually a lot closer than what I thought) and a tram stop. You could walk to Alexanderplatz in about 10 minutes or only one stop on the underground). If we went back to Berlin, I would look no further and would book the same flat. Studio apartment centrally based in area with plenty of nightlife and entertainment nearby. Apartment was basic but clean with all necessary equipment - except iron. "Amazing apartment"
I stayed in this apartment last weekend and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The living room kitchen and one of the two bedrooms were very large. The second bedroom was big enough as well. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed: kettle, mircowave, pots, pans, plates, cuttlery, etc... They even included the detergent and sponges […] for the washing up which I did not expect. My only complaint, which is very minor, is that i didn't like the shower head. But I am being very picky. My husband and I spent 5 nights in the Old Town Apartments, Schoenhauser Allee in Berlin. We found it to be very clean, spacious and very pleasant indeed. When I had said that we wanted a peaceful quiet time, we were given a 4th floor apartment to be well away from any noise. The staff were very helpful and we were assured that they were on duty 24 […] hours in case of any problems. There were none. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these apartments to anyone. Great place to stay in Mitte, our favorite part of the city. Excellent location, walking distance to most interesting places. Lots of nice cafes, restaurants and bars around. This is not a regular hotel but rather an apartment building. There is no regular staff there but the main OTA office is just a couple blocks away so they will show up in 3 minutes […] to check you in. Apartments are very nice, clean and stylish, it's quiet. The staff at the office were very helpful and spoke multiple languages. They knew the sites and made excellent recommendations on trips, personal safety, and getting around. The only problem, and it was a minor one, is that apartment office is not located at the apartment site, an I wasn't aware of that before my arrival. "Basic but comfortable"
This is a serviced apartment rather than a Hotel. Nonetheless the staff were very pleasant and helpful and said they were available by telephone if needed. The accomodation is in a older style Apartment block with large rooms and high cielings. The Apartment was clean and warm. Furniture was basic but adequate and there was a handy kitchen for drinks […] or food prep if needed. Coffee and Tea was provided but not Milk. The apartment is in an excellent location in Berlin, just 1 stop on the very nearby metro to Alexanderplatz and a very leisurely stroll to Kollwitzplatz. which must be one of the nicest parts of Berlin with lots of good restaurants and small shops. The apartment is well equiped and the staff very helpful. If we were given more towels, a better ironing […] board and the leg of the table fixed we would mark this place 5 out of 5! Our family of 4 rented a studio apartment. We were very happy w/the apartment, although the only drawback we had was we forgot to call 30 minutes before arrival so someone would be there to give us the keys. When we reached someone they were there in under 10 minutes. The beds were a little firmer than my hubby would've liked, but still comfortable […] nonetheless. I had a plain, simple, apartment. No frills. Kitchen, big bedroom, nice bathroom. Wireless internet service worked well. Clean. Quiet. It was great to have my own apartment for a few days in Berlin! Excellent neighborhood with lots of restaurants and near major subway station. They have other units nearby that might be a little more luxurious--I'd check […] with them. I'd stay with them again. Better than a hotel because I could cook my own food and it was quite large. Two things to be aware of: 1. You HAVE to phone 1/2 hour in advance if you are arriving after-hours so they can meet and give you the key. They are not on the property at all hours. 2. Lots of stairs, no elevator. Definitely not for someone in a wheelchair or unable to walk several flights of stairs. I was on the fourth floor, so it was a workout to go to my apartment. Det er ikke et egentligt hotel, men derimod en række lejligheder samlet i en bygning.Der er ingen reception (Man ringer ½ time før ankomst, og bliver så mødt af en person der er tilknyttet). Der er derfor ingen rengøring eller lignende faciliteter. Lejligheden ligger i et lidt slidt område af berlin, og der er en del støj fra gaden.Verifierad gästrecension
