Fantastic breakfast cooked by chef (omelettes, panncakes). Close to the ski slopes. Liked the fireplace in the room. The hotel is quiet old. I wouldn´t use the pool amenity - doesn´t feel all that clean.

Great hotel - nice modern room (except for the old TV), clean, neat, good service, good breakfast...BUT not soundproofing at all. you can hear conversations in the neigboring room and the people above seem like they are going to fall through the ceiling. Had a nice time. Room and hotel were both very nice, but the resturaunts wasn't open when we were there, and the air conditioning wasn't working either. Was clearly off season for them but still a very nice stay.

unfortunately we went on a dead weekend at the end of ski season. But i could tell this place would be great when its in full swing. Nice roomy lodge/lobby, big outdoor porch, huge game room downstairs, nice jacuzzi... We had been up at Pico for Tweed Music fest and didn't get to the hotel until late into the night/morning. I talked to an employee via a phone in the foyer and they left the door open for us because they figured we'd be late. Very helpful! We stayed here with kids participating in a ski race at Killington. The breakfast was great, the kids enjoyed the game room and hot tub, and the location was handy for Killington.

Stayed here during a recent ski trip to Killington. Very convenient location, only about 10 miles away. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the free breakfast each morning (pancakes, eggs made to order, bacon, coffee). The rooms were very spacious. Really loved the service here. The hotel is on the older side so if you want brand-spanking new it's not for you, however everything was clean and comfortable (and TONS of hot water). They even have an area for your skis/boards.. nice touch! Contrary to the listing on hotels.com the pool etc is indoors, and breakfast is free. Breakfast was a nice highlight, […] actual bacon and eggs at the buffet vs frozen crap that you often get at hotels. Definitely a nice touch here and fitting with the overall great service received! Booked a room because I was planning on snowboarding at Killington Resort. It's only 10 minutes or so away. The room is in pretty good condition. They have old school CRT TVs but at least the Comcast cable was good. Room also had a 1-cup Keurig with 3 K-cups.

If I had paid more I would have been disappointed but for the reasonable mid-winter price it's a good place to stay. The owner is nice and very friendly. I'm not going to pick the place appart because of the reasonable price. The free breakfast was a nice perk, not bad at all and they had good coffee !! Dinner, not so good. I think this will be my go-to hotel each time I ski at Killington Ski Resort. It was clean, very confortable and extremely affordable and only a few mile ride to the ski area. Free breakfast was included..eggs, pancackes, bacon, sausage, etc....and NOT a buffet either....we ordered what we wanted and were waited on. There's also a hot tub and sauna […] and game room with fooseball, board games, tv, etc. It snowed while we were there and the parking lot, sodewalks, etc were wonderfully taken care of..no slipping and sliding at all..Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only warning would be the restaurant on site. The food was terriblly expensive and not nearly worth what it cost. There's MANY places to eat in the area though, so this wasn't a large concern for me. We just won't eat there for dinner again- lesson learned. Was a bit far from Killition. But it wasnt to bad. Not a bad hote,l just a bit far for my taste and no outside pool. There breakfest was not good at all.

Price was fair and location good. The policy on cancellations was tough. I wanted to cancel because both my wife and I were under the weather. But we would have been charge 100% of the rate. Furniture and carpets could use some updating but overall OK.

We stayed in a fireplace room - very nice, clean, and comfortable. They also have a huge gameroom with ping pong and tv area. The hot tub was very nice as well. The hotel wasn't busy so the complimentary breakfast was made-to-order and excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Convenient location to Killington (15 minute drive).

Hotel is located 1/2 way between the city of rutland & killington ski resort. Staff was very friendly. Food was good. Nice ping pong table & rec room. Nothing negative to say about our stay.

Everyone very friendly and accommodating. Dinner in their restaurant was excellent and dining room very cozy. The inn was decorated so nicely for the holidays, and the fire in the fireplace in the lobby/dining room made it very inviting. This is not the fanciest hotel in the area by any means, but it was affordable, clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable! The receptionist was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. We could even see the tip of Pico from our bedroom window. I would certainly stay here again if I am in need of a hotel near Killington.

We stayed with Stacey and Brian the weekend before Irene hit Vermont. The road up and off the mountain was totally washed out. We had no power, water, and food was limited. Stacey and Brain went above and beyond helping their guests to be as comfortable as possible and putting out food and water to keep every going. They are the nicest people you would […] ever want to meet and they made a terrible situation seem not so bad. If we had to be stranded by a hurricane, I'm so glad we were at the Mendon Mountain View Lodge. It was like being with family and they calmed everyone's fears and the lodge was so comfortable and welcoming that it made you forget about the horrible conditions outside. We arrived on the Friday evening before Irene hit on Sunday. Many guests had already canceled their reservations, so it was very quiet. We were very warmly welcomed. We had a lovely room with a view of the mountain behind the lodge. It was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was included, and was very good. We had eggs, bacon, waffles, hash browns, fresh […] fruit, and all kinds of bread/muffin/bagel options. The dining area was pleasant. After hiking and canoeing all day on Saturday, we enjoyed some wine (that we brought) on the deck. No one else was around. The next morning we woke up to pouring rain. We enjoyed our breakfast again, and took our time leaving. But it's good that we left when we did, since the road was later washed out. The hotel staff was wonderful. We were able to leave our ice packs in their freezer, and our leftover food in their fridge. Not sure how different it would be if the place was full, but we sure enjoyed the peace and quiet. The Mendon Mountainview Lodge was amazing. The surrounding area is nothing but pristine nature, with close access to Killington Ski Resort and every necessary amenity. The lodge was clean, incredibly comfortable, and at an at-home feel to it which made it incredibly easy to relax in. Great hotel, owners Bryan and Stacey were most accomodating. Excellent location for skiing or touring central Vermont. Views of Killington and Pico are outstanding, sitting on the patio in the fall would be a dream. An excellent value, wonderful amenities (sauna, hot tub, game room, pool). A great choice for a visit to the Killington/Pico area

For the price, you can't beat it. There was a bit of dried vomit, though, in the corner, near our bed, that we noticed late in our stay. I'm sure they would have taken care of it, but I suppose the question is, should it have been there in the first place? The staff was great--polite, helpful, and hardworking. This hotel had friendly, helpful staff, nice common areas, a great breakfast buffet and SPECTACULAR views! The rooms were clean and larger than expected. We didn't need to wood burning fireplace since it was the summer, but it was fun having it in our room.

Stayed for one night. Room was very clean and had a nice view of the mountains. Hotel is located in a very pretty area and there are some restaurants nearby. Had dinner at a great Thai restaurant ( Thai Star/ East Mendon ) about 3 miles down on US Route 4.
