The bed mattress was very hard. It was difficult to fall alseep and remain asleep due to the hardness of the bed. I woke up very tired in the morning because I did not get a good quality sleep. I asked for a laundry and no one in the hotel knew where one was and the hotel did not have one. They sent me to the wrong street to look for a laundry. Eventually […] I found it after asking another hotel. The iron was just a heat iron and no steam, useless for ironing. No bar fridge for keeping cold drinks. No soap in the bathroom. We were in transit and had one night in Singapore. We booked into Hotel 81 Princess, as we needed a rest due to a 16 hour flight ahead the following morning and what a waste of money. We couldn't sleep as the beds were half the size of a single and the sheets didn't stay on as the mattresses were covered in PVC, the rooms were not clean and the hotel […] was seedy to say the least. We would have been better off sleeping on the floor of the airport, probably would have got a better nights sleep. Läs mer

well, as my purpose of stay is to wait for my following day flight. so i won't expect too much but it's good for sleeping in such a small room. but if u need transportation around here, taxi might b the only choice. and finally i hope this review helpful for everyone. cheers...

Recommended.

This hotel is alright if you are only staying one night and are on a tight budget, but don't expect anything special. The room is very small and there was no show curtain in the bathroom. The hotel is also in a bad neighborhood.

The hotel is located between three MRTs (subway stations) so you have to walk a bit to reach any of them. There are a busstations closer but we never went by bus. They dont have wifi but you can plug in your computer with lan-cable in the room if you ask for login details at the reception. The sounds from the streets below (we stayed on the 7th floor) […] dident bother us. If youre male and travel by your self I guess you might be bothered by the "friendly young girls" walking the streets in this district. Läs mer

Not bad for a hotel in the middel of Geylang. Its was okay for a 3 night stay in Singapore. Was a little bit dissapointed from the hotel service, they couln'd give us much advice whats to do around there, but in the end we found our way around. Good rates.

I will do the Bad first because there are too many of them and very few good points: 1) BAD LOCATION: The location makes it the single most important reason for people to not stay there. Its right in the heart of the Red Light area of Singapore, so you will see "people" hanging all over the locality. 2) FOOD: Most places around the hotel are extremely […] dirty, the food sits out pre-cooked for hours and no care is taken to ensure that one item doesn't mix with the other. Vegetarians like me will have to really search hard for a good place to eat. 3) Bed is extremely uncomfortable. They have some sort of leather cover and the bed sheet doesn't even cover the entire bed so your feet wander off on the leather cover which isn't a very good feeling. 4) Toiletries: They provide bare minimum. Not even soaps. So carry your own. 5) Cleanliness: Avg to low at best. Sometimes you could see the sheets were torn at places and I had to ask for replacement. The cleaning boy would use the towels to wipe off the floor in toilet and the room. The towels looked like as if they are a decade old. Carry your own and leave it for drying in the Bathroom. 6) Smell: There is weird bleachy smell in the elevator and the hallway that just never goes away. 7) Price: Its quite reasonable but if you throw in where it is located, you are better off paying even double and staying some place else. 8) Room: walls are quite thin. You can heal people going in and out of the room or talking in the other room or when you are outside. Luckily, I had a corner unit with no one else in the rooms next to me. Good: Staff: Courteous. This hotel is ideal for a short stay like mine in Singapore (3 days). Centrally situated to go almost anywhere. Lots of opportunities for shopping and eating near by in a still quiet neighbourhood. No breakfast at the hotel, but the nearest restaurant is less than 100 m away. Free internet.

겔랑거리에서 Hotel 81 호텔들이 시리즈별로 많이 있음. 주변환경은 깨긋한 편임. 인터넷이 공짜임. 40분정도 남쪽으로 걸어가면 강이 있는데 강주변 길거리가 너무 좋음.
