The Four Points by Sheraton at Punta Gorda has been built on a site that few years ago was completely destroyed by a hurricane. Right after that catastrophy Punta Gorda was really left with only one older hotel ; and a couple of older properties in nearby Port Charlotte. Last few years have seen good progress in Punta Gorda ; and perhaps this small […] Floridian Mexican Gulf coast town will earn back its "best place to live" -status in the USA, which it held few times in the past. No doubt, a new large business hotel, with freshly decorated bed rooms will help its way to gain that status again. Punta Gorda is really a retirement town, but re-building over the past few years has seen expansion of both private business and government institutions. With this, having visited Punta Gorda for the past 2 decades, I can see a bit more youthfull dynamism in the town, as well as in Port Charlotte area. Certainly, there are wealth of new shops, bars and restaurant to visit - especially if compared what was there 10-15 years ago or so. As to the hotel itself, it is new, it is fresh, provides good service at reasonable rates. The hotel is easily accessible, right smack on the town center, and on North bound U.S. route 41. Good parking space, and various services and shopping within walking distance from the hotel. Also within walking distance is Punta Gorda historical district, and the park next to Peace river. Available in Punta Gorda also cruises, fishing, boating etc. water activities. Hotel has restaurant combined with bar, fittness room, airy and spacious rooms with large windows coffee making facilities, Sheraton's excellent beds, well appointed bathrooms, lots of space to store clothes and luggage, nice and fast Wi-fi and ofcourse LCD TV with umpteen channels as always in the USA. Hotellet är verkligen jättefint!! Helt nytt och mycket snygg inredning. Pool och bubbelpool ute och egen tvättmöjlighet på flera våningsplan. Stort sällskapsrum med brasa och internetuppkoppling. Hotellet ligger mellan in-och utfart på broarna till Port Charlotte. Det är inte störande och tillochmed läget ser bra ut. Läget i Ponta Gorda är inte helt […] toppen, inte speciellt många matställen utan man får ta sig vidare till Port Charlotte där det finns gott om snabbmat framförallt. Vill man däremot besöka kusten både norrut och söderut är läget bra, lite mittemellan. Vi var 4 personer och upplevde rummet mycket rymligt, även toaletten var stor och bekväm. Läs mer

Lovely location - my room had a beautiful view of the harbor and Peace River. Too bad they didn't put in a little balcony for each room -sigh-. The room was very clean, all supplies stocked and the bed was very very good!

Hotel rooms served it's purpose well. Would have been nice to have a refrigerator, and the batteries in the TV remote were almost dead. Channels didn't change easily. Otherwise bed was cozy and walk-in shower was superb.

Very nice. Disappointed there was no refrigerator in room. Loved the sliding door to bathroom. Where can I purchase that slider hardware??? I'm not kidding. If that could be answered, I would be grateful :-)

We loved the beauty of the hotel....the service was great..it did have piped in music which was annoying....the rooms were very beautiful in their design and we had a view of the harbor. The sound proofing was excellent also.

This hotel may not be the lowest priced hotel in Punta Gorda but in my opinion, it is the best value for the price in terms of service, maintenance, cleanliness and comfort.

The hotel was clean, but the room we stayed in had bare bones facilities, much like a dorm room or low-end state room. There were no drawers to put clothes in, just open shelves under the window seats. The bathroom door was suspended from a bracket and just slid over the opening offering only visual privacy. No towel racks, no counter space, If you […] opt to not have the linens changed daily, you will be given $5 incentive at the in-house restaurant, but then they do not even empty trash cans or restock coffee supplies. Nice new hotel which was very clean and smartly decorated. Beds were very comfortable, no noise disturbances and AC worked great. Within walking distance to historic area of Punta Gorda (which is very small), including antique shops, consignment shops, little art galleries, and a few bars and restaurants. From check-in till departure, everything was PERFECT! I have never been to a hotel as warm and welcoming as Four Points Punta Gorda Harborside. NEVER! Rooms were sparkling clean and the hotel restaurant staff and food were outstanding. Loved the band and scenary at the tiki bar, too! We will definitely stay again when in the area!

Overall our stay at this hotel met our expectations for a Sheraton hotel. The only glitch was that there was no coffee available in the early morning on our departure day. My husband was told it would be out in a minute or two. He waited 10 minutes before returning to our room. Hotel room was not "habor view" as stated unless you count the small glimpse of the harbor barely visable through the trees across the high traffic bridge. Room was near the ice machine which woke us up several times through the night.The "cocktail lounge" consists of a tiny bar visible to everyone passing through the lobby, checking in, or dining in […] their only restaurant, including families with children. Very pleased with hotel and staff. However after having an excellent dinner we had an awful overpriced breakfast. The potatoes were old and cold. The bacon was tissue thin and of course not capable of retaining heat. As a result we recommended that our friends not eat breakfast in your establishment.

Fabulous experience, the staff is incredible, the food is far superior to most 5-star hotels, all-in-all just a wonderful place. Highly recommended. Try the Chicken-Walnut Salad with Sweet Onion Dressing . . . Mmmmmm

We had a great stay here. The pool was open 24 hours (which is nice for late nighters). Our rooms were clean and staff was great. we also had a short walk to the marketplace and tiki hut. The hotel staff also went above and beyond when after I left i noticed that I had left a jacket in my room. this hotel GETS IT! The property is well appointed, upscale, and spotlessly maintained. The staff is courteous, attentive, and professional. In an area dominated by indifference, this hotel is a great find. For business travelers it is conveniently located just off of the I75 corridor and has excellent facilities to work and play.
