Nice room with kitchenette & washing machine. Also Wi-Fi available everywhere. Other pluses were the nice & courteous staff & the quiet neighborhood. Downsides: Breakfast didn't have as many Thai & healthy dishes as I would have liked but I guess bacon and sausages have to be there of some people would complain (not me). Gym didn't have barbells & just […] one bench. Pool was in total shade except for between something like 10AM-2PM, and the entire pool was never in the sun. Bummer! The location was quiet, but the 10 minute walk to the BTS is enough for a cold swede to sweat like a pig and thus need a change of clothes afterwards ;) Läs mer

The hotel is in my view not a 4 star hotel and I can not understand way they have so high points? The hotel is OK but the location is bad and not many taxt drivers want to go there, it is to far away down on Sukhumvit. Allso the standard of tiles, wood, bathtub and more are just plain cheep materia in the room. But the hotel is clean, ok standard and […] if they said it was a 3 star hotel and charge 2/3 of the price they offer (after all the discont) then it would be a great value and standard. Please remember this is not a normal hotel, it is a serviced apartment block and they rent out the empty rooms as a hotel. The pool have only 8 sunbeds and are small but always empty.....go figure way. But breakfast is good and the proporty is clean. My advise is to rent a room that cost 2/3 of this price or pay an extra 1/3 of the price becouse then you will have value. The area and hotel are 100% dead after 19.00, nothing happends, no restaurants, just far away from shopping malls and fun. I have stayd in about 30 hotels in Bangkok from 500 bath per night to Peninsula for 9000 bath per night, and it is boring to see a hotel like this that dont realy are a hotel chargning to much for "nothing". Vi var väldigt nöjda med vår bokning. Fick rummet för ett fördelaktigt pris så det var väldigt prisvärt. Hotellet ligger i en gränd, ca 200 m från Sukhumit road. Gränden är ganska mörk på kvällen och det finns sophögar där stora råttor mumsar på rester utan att skämmas. Det var dock inte otryggt på något sätt att gå gränden och om man vill kan man ta […] en tuk-tuk, men det tyckte vi var onödigt. Vi hade beställt en mellanstor svit men blev uppgraderade till en större svit. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam och de flesta talade relativt bra engelska. Rummen rena och fräscha och på städningen fanns ingenting att anmärka. Vi beställde även roomservice och maten - vi valde thailändska rätter - var god och kom efter ca 30 min väntetid. Frukostbuffén var inget speciellt men där fanns toast, färska frukter, frukostflingor, korvar, ägg, youghurt, bakverk och diverse asiatiska rätter. Det bodde mest asiatiska gäster på hotellet. Poolområdet var fint, där fanns både sol och skugga. När vi var där var vi nästan ensamma. Hotellet låg inte precis i centrum, men väldigt nära till skytrainen och hotellpersonalen hjälper till att beställa taxi. Dock hade vi problem efter att ha varit i Grande Palace och Koh San road eftersom ingen taxi ville ta en beställning till vårt område. Det var förmodligen pga trafiken. Det spelade ingen roll om vi var villiga att betala mer, de ville ändå inte ta oss. Trots att det var närmare 40 grader varmt och vi hade en liten 2-åring med oss (annars är ju thailändarna så barnkära). Till slut lyckades vi övertala en taxichaufför att köra oss till Siam Paragon köpcenter så fick vi ta oss därifrån och hem. The quality of the room, amenities, staff somewhat surprised me. I don't know for sure but it does seem that this is a privately owned single hotel, i.e. not a chain of hotels. Small things that makes a difference, like being provided with wifi password upon checkin (free), having a laundry machine, excellent room service that was both fast to deliver […] and low priced. For family & couple who wants to stay more than 5 days, should stay in Adelphi Grande as the room is equipped with a Kitchenette, a washing machine and dryer combine in one. Perhaps the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in! My partner and I stayed for 4 nights, and found it wonderful. When we checked in, they weren't fully booked and so upgraded us to a more expensive room than the one we had booked. We had a great time at Adelphi Grande. We were greeted by a cold face washer and a nice drink (could not remember what it was, but it was nice). To top it all, we were upgraded to a deluxe room which was awesome because the room was relatively huge. There is a complimentatry tuktuk service that could drive you from the hotel to the main road (and vice […] versa) which is about 5-10 minute walk from the nearest skytrain station. Brekky is good but inferior compared to the brekky offered to our hotel in Phuket. There was a free wi-fi but you need to log in everytime you change floors ( e.g when you transfer from your room to the cafe ) which could be quite annoying. We stayed at the adelphi Grande Hotel in March 2012. We loved the hotel. The kitchen was well equipped and even had a washer dryer which was a great binus for us as we were moving on to Vietnam, so this enabled us to get all our clothes clean again before we left. The staff were very friendly and eager to please. The hotel is slightly out of town but […] that's not too much of a problem as the BTS station is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The only problem we had was that the streets near to the hotel were infested with rats which made getting to and from the metro a nightmare. Not so bad in the day although we still saw a few rats, but at nighttime we had to run the gauntlet. The problem is due to the amount of garbage left at the roadside in plastic bags by the food traders. Of course this is no fault of the Adelphi Grande and it is a shame if their business is affected by the problem as we would otherwise have no hesitation in staying with them again. The service we received there was far better than we have had in some five star hotels. Perhaps the hotel management can take this up with their local municipality. Läs mer

This is a top hotel in terms of quality and the hotel itself - it is definitely a highly rated hotel. However unfortunately I would like to let people know that the area it is situated in is not one I would reccommend to anyone. It made me feel uneasy at all times and for this reason I ended up changing hotels after only one night of not being able […] to sleep. The hotel itself is incredible and definitely deserves 4-5 stars. The breakfast was nice and there was a lot of selection and there was a beautiful pool to laze besides. The meal I ordered via room service was terrible and also overpriced for the meal itself. I was not prepared to stay at a place which I considered a bad threatening neighbourhood where you had to walk down a dirty alleyway with rats to get to the BTS station to travel two stations to feel at peace in a nice suburb for the day. For this reason I would not reccommend this hotel for couples, young travellers or families. A haven of quiet, air conditioned calm in the middle of Bangkok. Staff were professional and helpful. We missed our first night due to flight delays so they upgraded our room with empathy which was so appreciated after 2 days in airports.
