The hotel is very large and is part of a multi-hotel complex with the hotels bearing Greek names: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Vega. The hotel building is huge (I believe it has 28 floors) but secure. The hotel is very busy, so you would have little chance to move into your room early (before 2pm). Nevertheless, they try to accommodate guest wishes: […] I asked for a quiet room and I got it (very high floor, end of the hallway, away from busy roads). The luggage storage is semi-free: the first 6 hours are free and then you have to pay ~$3.5 per 24 hours per one piece of luggage. The rooms are rather small but clean and cosy. While most Americans would expect a queen or a king size bed, in a regular room of this hotel you would get a double bed. The furniture, bedding and bathroom are (not completely but) rather new and I would not call them worn out. Temperature control worked, the water pressure in the shower cabin was high. The hotel is located very close to a subway station - about 5 minute walking distance. It would take one about 20 minutes on the subway to get to the city center. There are several grocery stores nearby (including a 24h one and a big supermarket 5-10 minutes away), also a few restaurants and cafes, a fitness center, and a pharmacy. The hotel also has a beauty saloon. In the spring time there is a lot of melted water, dirty snow and puddles around the hotel, but it is typical for Russia in general. I have used Vega several times. It is close to the Partizanskaya metro which takes 15 minutes to the centre. Rooms have been renovated to a reasonable western three star level with free wireless that works. I would take breakfast outside unless you enjoy canteen style dining with 500 others!

Shady Place. The Security guard swindled one of our party members for 100 dollars and then the staff covered it up. Corrupt. Never going back. Shetchy people. Stay away from this place. Also despite reviews it is in the mittle of nowhere and is extremely difficult and expensice to access by car..

The hotel is quite far from the centre, the staff is also not too polite, we asked the concierge for a cab to the airport he quoted us a price of 255 rbls but i landed up paying only 1400.

Anywhere else you would be disappointed to pay this much for a three star but this is a Moscow three star does not pretend to be a four star! The non smoking rooms are clean and non smoking, the bed linen is fresh and clean, the cable tv works and so does the internet and it is really 5 minutes walk to the metro and 10 minutes metro to the center. The breakfast is poor in quality rather than quantity for those who like mass, canteen style dining experiences....if it is not included save the $ 15 and go to a central cafe or if you need to work order a sandwich to your room. The hotel was a nice clean place to stay. 3 to 5 minute walk from the Metro Station. A few restuarants around and small grocery stores. Also 5 minutes walk to a very low cost suvenier - flea market. I would stay at this hotel again.

The rooms are small, but clean. Heating and insulation are good, and this is important in Russia! There is free wifi in the rooms. The toilet and shower are clean and there are plenty of amenities, including shampoo and slippers. It's a buffet breakfast, but the selection is not extraordinary. The hotel is approx. 100 m from the Partizanskaya metro station, which makes it very conveniently located. The official taxi takes you to the hotel for 2000 RUB from Domodedovo airport, which is not bad for the 60 km ride. But you can get to the hotel by the Aeroexpress trains and the metro as well. Fantastic location with the Metro only a stones throw away and shops and restaurants practically on site. The hotel offered everything and more and I would totally recommend the Best Western Vega Hotel to anybody wanting to explore Moscow from the comfort of a luxury base.

This hotel is not in the centre of Moscow as you'll be able to see from the map, however its a few minutes walk from the metro which was 5 stops into the Red Square at a cost of around £1 for a return trip. The staff spoke great English are were really helpful with any of our queries. In the surrounding area there are 4 other big 4 star hotels and a […] few really nice restuarants, we only felt the need to go into the town centre for one evening. Overall we were really pleased with this choice of hotel, the price was well worth it compared to the cost of hotels in the town centre. I've stayed in this hotel for few nights in the "superior twin" room. The room was clean and comfortable, however there were neither tee, nor coffee. The hotel provides 2 bottles of water and all necessary toiletries every day. I'm not impressed with this so-called 4 star hotel at all. The luxury that gives a hotel **** rating is there for the most part, but some of the basics are missing. Although I put the DND sign on my door, the cleaning lady entered my room and left the window wide open on her way out. The room was freezing when I walked in. Ok, not interested in a smelly […] room either, but at least ask, especially when you see the red sign hanging! And when I complained, she literally yelled at me in Russian. Funnily enough, nobody touched the linen and all that when I actually had the green sign. Their treatment of my friends who wanted to come up was rather unpleasant as well. And most importantly, the staff is very disappointing. There is one nice girl and one nice guy at the reception desk, and the guy who helped me with the luggage room is very pleasant as well. All the others are downright horrid. Not helpful, not friendly, and they can't communicate in English anyway. I ask the woman if she understands English, she says "I Russian, I speak Russian". Well done sis! Almost had to beg for a map too. Last but not least, the exchange office doesn't change Canadian Dollars. Generally I would recommend this hotel, it is near to a subway station, a place called Ismailovo Park and a small shopping mall. First we had a room on the 16th floor which receive very weak Wi-Fi signal, the receptionist was helpful and she gave us another room on the 6th floor, then we had no problems with the internet. we stayed at the hotel from 9/7/12 to 16/7/12, it is well located near Partizanskaya metro station, there is a shopping center nearby where you can have a nice meal, I reccommend Teremok for the local dishes, the nice market where you can buy souvenirs and other goods, a wide green park surrounded by a lake where locals even go to swim...the hotel lacks […] air conditioning in the lobby and there is a choking feeling when you enter, sadly smoking is permitted and so it was unbearable for us to stay there. we were lucky to take the "deluxe" room so we had conditioning in the room, otherwise we would have a very bad stay. the inet is free but not good enough inside room, unless you are in the bathroom!! for Russian standards it is a good hotel and a good value for money. Updgraded completely from a previous stay I had before. Staff was excellent. Rooms are air conditioned and very nice. Breakfast was excellent although it will set you back about $15 which is not cheap but not terrible in Moscow.

ROOM: clean and spacious with a decently sized closet and a small table with a couple of chairs. Comfortable beds. Mini bar and safe. The bathroom is also very clean and of a nice size. It's a huge hotel but it wasn't noisy at all. AMMENITIES: wifi is free. The room has toiletries (even slippers!), hair dryer and cable with some English channels. Breakfast […] and dinner buffet are available. They are a bit expensive but at least the menus are in English which is hard to find in Russia. There's also a bar and some souvenir stores in the lobby. The Vega is part of the Izmailovo complex which used to be an olympic villa and in the complex there are other hotels, restaurants, souvenir stores, small grocery stores, and a pharmacy so everything you might need you will find in the complex. LOCATION: it's located right next to the Partizanskaya metro station (careful because in some maps the stop appears as Izmailovsky Park!) just 5 stops on the same blue line to the Red Square, Kremlin and Bolshoi stop. it was our second time in Moscow, we had stayed previously next to the Vega at the Delta building which is managed separately, and we returned to the site because we found it very convenient. Don't miss the market in Izmailovsky Park, after two visits to Moscow we found it to be the best place for souvenirs in terms of price and variety. This is a good hotel for the money. It's one in a complex of 5 hotels that was re-branded Best Western. There are many stores and shopping centers nearby and the hotel is only 5 stops on subway from the kremlin. FOr the kind of money I paid for this hotel I was impressed with the quality of the room, food, and the hotel overall.
