We booked the hotel blind, as it offered the best discount. We were delighted with the result as the hotel is superb and ideally located for our purposes as we were attending the HSBC Golf tournament at Abu Dhabi Golf Course which is just a short drive away. I've now stayed at the Park Rotana AUH 4 times - it is an excellent new hotel only about 15mins drive from AUH airport, which is convenient for business travellers like me who have relatively short stays in AUH of 1-2 nights. "Perfect for Sports City events"
Stayed one night to attend an event at Sports City. ZSC is a very short taxi drive away -and a 20 minute walk home (if you fancy it and dont mind walking without sidewalks anywhere!) It was a really easy check in and the staff were so helpful. I have a couple of issues though - the taxi they booked me charged me AED 75 to do a journey which I later found out costs AED 30. Then a male member of staff walked into my room when I was inside after knocking and waiting a split second before opening the door,this was very bad. "A good 5 star hotel in a convenient location"
Located about 15 mins from airport and 30 mins in to the City (traffic permitting) this is a high quality hotel. However, like much of Abu Dhabi, it as adjacent to a lot of construction and this was audible from room early in the morning. Ask for one park side and you'd be fine. Excellent restaurant - Teatro - serving a mix of Asian and Western food. […] Pool area is a little disappointing - you do end up having to chase the sun since the area is surrounded by the hotel and an apartment block. However, pool staff are great and will move the sun beds during the day. Nice swim up pool bar though. This is mainly a business hotel, but our family enjoyed their stay and would consider going back for a short break. The staff here are all incredibly helpful and friendly. I went to Abu Dhabi for the FIFA Club World Cup and spent 4 days @ Park Rotana. I was impressed by staff, really kind and always keen to help. Room was clean and well equipped. Restaurants serve excellent food (sea food buffet is a must) and bars have a good selections of drinks and snacks. The swimming pool has warm water and that compensates the fact […] that is pretty much for the whole day not touched by the sun. And the area around (with a tennis court, a beach volley ground, a small kids playgroound) is not big.
