We had a great stay at the Outrigger. The three bedroom villa with pool had plenty of room for our three boys (ages 11. 9 and 6). They loved the swimming pool and TV in the bedroom. The service was very good. All requests were handled promptly. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We ate at both restaraunts. The buffet breakfast at Panache was expensive. […] We decided to only eat it once. We did get the continental and hot room service breakfasts. Also expensive, but we were able to order for only 2 or 3 people and had plenty of food for the 5 of us. The shuttle service around the resort was good. We ate at another hotel and went to spa using this service. We also visited the Canal Shopping VIllage. "Shopping Village" is a bit of an exageration, but they did have a mini mart and a few souvenir shops, and it is convenient. Boys stayed in the Kids Club one afternoon. It is small, but for a few hours it was fine. The beach area was nice, and even though the hotel is not directly on the beach, the shuttle service was quick to get to the beach. Laguna also offers a tour service with a representative at the hotel. We booked a few tours through them, and were very happy with the service. Loved the 3 Bedroom Pool Villa - was very spacious and has everything you need. Would definately recommend staying here. We basically didnt use much of the facilities at the resort as the Villa had everyhting we needed and we had a hire car so ate out at restaurants nearby. I would recommend you have hire car here to get around unless you just want […] to lie around by the pool - the hotel has a shuttle to layan beach which is nice. We stayed in a three bed villa with our two teenage sons. The villa was spacious, views amazing, pool gorgeous, beds huge (all king), wifi handy, tv programs plentiful, continental breakfasts a good size, delicious coffee machine, daily housekeeping, daily pool towel replacement, all staff from porters to gardeners were very attentive, friendly, timely […] and respectful. We were treated like royalty everywhere we went within the Outrigger complex. We utilized the Outrigger limo service several times: for trips into Patong, for a day out sightseeing, our trip to Phi Phi Island, for transfers to and from the airport. The vehicle was large & clean, our driver, Bon, was fantastic....he was so much more than a driver. He became a trusted tour manager and friend. It is the generous space of the villas that gives this accommodation a sense of luxury and indulgence whilst being an incredibly relaxed and family friendly holiday. Their Kung surong is to die for. This was our second visit to outrigger with the family. Our first visit was 15 days and I still didn't want to leave. This was only a 3 day stay and I was so sad to leave. New pool and gym and day beds are a great addition. The apartments in the new area don't appeal to me, don't have the privacy of the villas. Everyone in the pool looks into your room, but the apartments aren't aimed at me and my family. Pool in villas area much quieter and privacy even for two bedroom villas is fantastic. Only downside here is breakfast is quite expensive. Grab shuttle into village and u can grab a cheaper deal. Lunch and dinner however very reasonably priced for this quality of resort. Whilst I cannot fault the 2 bedroom Suite that we stayed in, the resort itself is very isolated and caters to a captive audience. Hiring a car is a must. The pool area is very sterile and hot and if you get too many hot days in a row, the pool becomes unpleasantly warm. Shoes are also a must at the pool area to avoid burnt feet on the mission brown […] timber flooring. The food in Panash Restaurant in the resort was not only expensive but very bland. Further, the resort wanted 765 baht per person per day for its buffet breakfast including for my 11 year old daughter - a total of 2295 baht per day. As we were so outraged we hired a small auto toyota sedan from Andoman car rental for 1100 baht per day and had breakfast at Bake (about a 5 min drive away) for about 250 baht each per day. Many of the local restaurants will come and pick you up and drop you back for no fee. However, if the restaurant uses a local taxi service the security guards at the resort wont let it in. Finally, as the building in which the suites is located is so far from the main road where local taxis are located, you are forced to use the resort limousine service to travel to the airport at a cost of 1360 baht whereas a local taxi is 600 baht to the airport Läs mer

The hotel was apartments with hotel service and feel. Great big rooms with everything you need. The service offering was extensive and great, but it took ages for things to happen. Roomservice was 1hr +. It is a huuuuge estate with all you basically need, but far from any nie beach or city centre. Fantastic spacious 4* luxury villas. Great for families. Resort location is distant from main Phuket town; distance is made worse by local taxi mafia who camp outside resort gate and will lynch any metered taxi that tries to enter the resort. Metered taxi price to the airport should be 550 THB, mafia force you to pay 800 THB, hotel charges 1,300 THB. […] Avoid the hiked up resort prices by calling local restaurants like the Blak Cat who will pick you up and drop you back for free at any Laguna hotel room. Beach is sufficiently distant that you need a hotel shuttle to take you there. They claim they need 30 minutes notice but it took over 45 mins on one occasion (otherwise generally fairly prompt). Beach is relaxing. If you're looking for nightlife this is not the place for you; if you want a nice spacious 4* condo away from the bustle of Phuket town this is perfect. Läs mer

My family and I (6 of us in total) stayed at this great 3 bedroom villa during December 2011. The moment we laid our eyes on the villa, we instantly love it!! It is spacious, clean and it's indeed a home away from home! We have everything we need there. The staff there is very helpful and friendly. They go all way out to make our stay as pleasant as […] it can get (thanks especially to staff "To" who provided us with so much valuable information as to how to get around and where to go. We truly appreciate it!) The surrounding is very serene and quiet. A perfect place to be if you want to stay away from the crowd. The only disadvantage is that it is a little far from town so we finish all our shopping in town in one day so we need not have to travel downtown again. But to make up for this, the beach in this area is simply perfect. No crowd - just you, the sand and the sea. Perfect!! Our 4 bedroom pool villa offered first class accommodation for a quiet get away. Huge villa with top quality furnishings and private pool in a very peaceful location. The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. Free bus transfers around the complex on demand and bikes also provided. A great place to stay - the rooms are fantastic and the staff at the kids club were superb for our 3 year old. Food really expensive and didn't eat at here so can't comment on the quality. Beautiful location. A little bit out of the way, but we had a car and were able to get around.

Excellent hotel, especially the two bedoom villas for families as it's a much better option than paying for two rooms in a conventional hotel. Try to get a package that includes breakfast unless you're happy to self-cater (which is especially easy as the villas come with a fully equiped kitchen and a washing machine and drying facilities!!#. The pool […] is also great and is right beside the two bedroom villas. Not being on the beach might be a little disappointing but the other Laguna hotels are only a short ride away. Unless you are intending to spend most of your time within the resort, a car is essential for getting about - driving in Phuket is very relaxed, with the exception of the main road from the airport to Phuket Town and beyond #which is a several lane highway and moves quite quickly) most travel is done at well under 60 kms per hour. I'll try and tell you what the other reviews haven't already.... We stayed in a 2 bed suite for 5 nights from Nov 16th. Place was fully booked as i asked to view a apartment / villa with/without private pools (for next time) but none were free. The apartment was fantastic... space galore! 2 large doubles with en-suite lux showers upstairs, each with […] their own AC/climate controls, led TV's (37' i think) and windows overlooking part of the lounge / dining area and the large balcony. Downstairs you have an even bigger space again with separate AC/Climate controls, a WC, a fully equipped kitchen (ours had never been used and contained a 4 plate ceramic hob, full oven, extractor and microwave - all Siemens top of the range stuff). Coffee maker, toaster, cutlery for 6, knives cheese graters etc, and an assortment of pots & pans etc. Plenty of electric sockets scattered about to handle electric plugs from anywhere in the world - so don't bother taking your adapters! The lounge has nice comfy sofas and there is a dinning table that seats 6. The normally high ceiling extends to double height near the balcony. Double Patio doors open out onto a large balcony that has a lounger and a breakfast table and chairs for 4. As with a lot of hotels / villa complexes in Phuket you are NOT on the beach or shopping area .. however there is a free minivan that picks you up and takes you / picks you up virtually whenever you want. Maybe Australia should send its hotel staff up here to learn how it is done. I was given first class treatment and genuine care. All staff were extremely warm respecful and courteous. The place was immaculate and there were never any staff sitting around. If there was time to lean then it was time to clean. Excellent

Staff were very helpful , informative & accommodating . We actually got a taxi from the airport to the the villas but the driver dropped us at the wrong hotel so they rang the Outrigger and they sent a driver over to pick us up nothing was ever too much trouble . We mainly used the drivers from the resort to take us around and it was like having our […] very own tour guide he explained all about the local history and even recommended a restaurant for us to try . It was a little further away than we first thought but you could just relax at the villa if you wanted or go on any number of tours that were available or go into Patong for some retail therapy it was really up to you what kind of holiday you had . There was a free shuttle bus service around the laguna which ran every 1/2 hr so if you wanted you could try other restaurants in the other hotels around the laguna . If we were to ever return to Phuket again we would have no hesitation in staying at the Outrigger again as we had a fantastic holiday . Läs mer

We went there in July for some quite time with 3 kids ranging from 6-13. The outrigger is fabulous as long as you make sure you get out and about on the many tours that are offered in and around Phuket. this was easy enough to organise even as first timers in Thailand as we wanted to do a lot of the daytrips and they will all pick you up at the resort […] as part of the deal. Its a good 40 minutes drive from Patong & Phuket town so if your into shopping, bars and nightlife this is not the place for you. We used the limo service the hotel offers, at a price, and found it slightly more expensive than local drivers but they all had better English and better cars. Use the free shuttle service and get down to the beach ( via shuttle at call ). Apart from possibly the best beach in Phuket its got a great rustic restuarant there really cheap and sand in yoru toes as you eat local food. .. Layan Seafood restaurant. The Outrigger is only about 12 months old from what I can tell, and the staff fall over themselves to be helpful, they are reallly excellent. We would definetly return here but I wouldn't be put off by driving stories next time and would hire a car from airport ( only 15 minutes away) just to give yourself a bit more flexibility. Läs mer

The hotel room was an actual "LUXURY" two bedroom apartment completely outfitted with anything we could want in a temporary dwelling. the outrigger phuket is an excellent property if you dont want to stay in the crowded areas... it is in a secluded area with nothin else really nearby.. but they have shuttle service to the beach. they also have regular shuttle to the nearby hotels... the villas are spacious and very well done.. good breakfast but nothin hot... the kids room n the attendents […] there are very good... kids had a good time... bicycles were also available... all in all a good holiday... 其實間VILLA就好似外國電影的獨立屋一樣。租車的位絕對推介，其實整個區基本都是這些不同品牌的VILLA，任君選擇。雖然一班FD煮飯仔，泳池吹水，但要注意聲浪不要過高，因為隔離屋可能人地已經買左黎住！所以要顧及他人。雖然地點遠了點，但有專車送去附近海灘。

這次入住這個度假村, 真的很有度假感覺, 租住的是3房2廳連私家游泳池, 一家人在這裡度假聚天倫樂很開心, 酒店保養得很干淨, 又沒有旅行團的那種嘈雜, 下次會再來!

我们入住的时候拥有四个房间的别墅里面有私家泳池，小朋友玩得很爽，别墅挺新的，有厨房，可以自己做饭，有烤炉，微波炉，洗衣机，洗碗机，基本上家里有的东西他都有。也是岛上唯一拥有四房间的别墅。缺点是：离购物区中心区远，需要40分钟车程。酒店附近有家地道的泰国菜餐厅出品不错。

3베드룸 풀빌라에서 3박 지냈고요. 호텔의 시설, 서비스 모두 만족스러웠습니다. 하지만 빠통, 푸켓타운 등의 푸켓 주요 관광지에 나가려면 적어도 1500바트 이상을 교통비로 사용해야 한다는 것이 유일한 단점. -호텔에서 불러주는 택시를 타고 빠통을 나가는 데에 편도 가격만 990바트, 푸켓타운은 700바트입니다. 하지만 여기저기 다니지 않고 아이들이 있는 가족이 풀빌라에서 휴향을 즐긴다면 가격대비 이만한 곳이 없을 것 같네요. 호텔에서 24시간동안 무료로 빌려주는 자전거를 타고 3km 떨어진 라얀 비치까지 하이킹 해보세요. 푸켓 자연을 그대로 느낄 수 있는 강추 코스!
