Fortunately, it was still off season and quiet when we stayed here. The restaurant and bar are the foundation of this property and noise travels throughout. The location is in the middle of an extremely touristy, busy area. The property itself is gorgeous and new, in an ultra contemporary style. Rooms include nice ammenities such as gas fireplaces, […] large tv's, and ipads. Rooms and baths are very comfortable and generously sized. Just be prepared, on season, this will be a bustling "party" environment, both inside and around the property. If this is what you like, you will be very happy here. Also note, they charge $25 to self park in their lot and this might not be clear on the terms and conditions. There are limited or no other parking options in the vicinity. Läs mer

Beautiful property in a great location on the water and for walking access to Thames Street. The bar is a great spot to stop for a glass of wine, sit by fireplace, grab a bite. The rooms are beautiful as well with great showers and beds and a beautiful bar! There is provision to use the Mariott gym which worked great. We liked having access to both […] the lobby bar and Christie's which offers a casual bar and eating as well as Sunday brunch. It is a pricey spot for no breakfast or extras such as coffee/tea in room. The towels were worn, hard and small, and lighting in the bath was poor, without any make up mirror. We went during off season and the valet was no where to be found during some times, may be working shorter hours off season, but its inconvenient when they have stored your luggage and you can't find. We came to Newport to escape the South for a few days, and our first stop after a 14-hour drive was Forty 1 North. Reaction? This hotel is simply a head above. Hidden in the marina in building that blends in almost seamlessly with its surroundings, Forty 1 North was quite the surprise. The room was wonderfully put together, and the attention to detail was top-notch. We loved this hotel from start to finish. Staff super friendly, hotel beautifully designed, comfortable bed, great location. Only negative thing about the room is you need to install a pot light over the sink, wall sconces do not provide sufficient lighting. Our breakfast was very tasty, however, both of us noticed and commented that our servers white […] clothes had stains on them (old stains), dirty white shoes and dark cuffs and collar (a little unappetizing). The hotel is amazing. Staff is helpful yet they don't overwhelm you. They seem to be able to read how much attention you want or need. It was not good. They were not honest. We were told we had a city view room and they put us in a cottage that was not even connected with the hotel but next to the office and cleaning supply room and where the trucks deliver goods. The couch downstairs was so uncomfortable we couldn't even sit on it. The tvs were not the size we were told they would […] be. We wanted to watch a movie but they couldn't get it downloaded on the ipod. The shower was broken and we couldn't turn it off and had to have maintenance come twice. So they try to make it up to us by giving us $200 toward food and free parking but when we checked out they handed me the bill in an envelope like I would just take it and leave but I checked it and they charge us for the parking $75 and I had to tell them that was wrong so they immediately changed it. It was like they were told if I catch the mistake then quickly correct it. I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone. If you want an expensive dinner where you look at a yacht and listen to very loud music then go there for dinner. Läs mer

The hotel and location are excellent. Good service and the management were very helpful in changing dates and rooms etc. We only stayed 1 night, so didn't get to sample the nightlife. This hotel is beautiful and so comfortable. The atmosphere is terrific! Everything is sleek and contemporary but warm and inviting at the same time. The staff is very welcoming and always willing to assist.The lobby extends into the lounge and dining room which overlooks the harbor and boat(yacht)slips. Awesome views! From the moment we arrived we were looked after from the valet service to the check in which was instant then to our beautiful room .The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace was a lovely feature as it turned a bit chilly in the afternoon. The decor is very tasteful . My only suggestion would be to place a magnifying mirror in the bathroom only […] a minor change but would be helpful. It did not detract from the great time we spent there. The view from our room was of the marina well worth the money. Great location easy walk to all attractions but peaceful at night to sleep. My husband and I stayed for a romantic weekend in July. The hotel is very modern and very high tech. Staff can't do enough to help guests. Rooms are kind of small and. Most do not have balconies. Bathroom is gorgeous with separate shower and tub. Room was always clean and service staff always willing to get what you need. I can't say enough about how lovely 41 North was. We checked in late, and the hotel lobby and bar were so cozy and inviting. The staff person who greeted us walked us up to the room, and check-in was super easy. The room itself was a perfect balance of chic and comfortable. The linens, towels, bath products, pillows -- all awesome. Even the shower was […] noteworthy. We had lunch at The Grill, on the outdoor deck. The food was tasty and the view was great. 41 North has one of the best staffs and nicest rooms that I have encountered in my travels. There are very few hotels that match the comfort, convenience, and luxury of 41 North. Also the high tea is not only excellent but a good value.

This is a sleek and stylish place. Not your typical preppy Newport venue, so you have to like more edgy, but it makes for a very pleasant stay right in the thick of things. It's also very high tech, which is fun--the usual hotel room information (TV channels, room service menu, etc.) is all on an iPad on your desk!

Awesome property and a great location! The staff seemed a little too inexperienced for such a great venue but they were extremely friendly and helpful. They just seemed a little overwhelmed at times. They are almost there because everything else was awesome! Would definately go back.

The best hotel on the island. My new wife and I stayed at 41 for our mini moon and words can't describe how happy we were. We will without a doubt be returning to this pristine establishment! Thank you!

Highly recommend. Only gripe was the $25 per day parking fee. Seemed excessive; would rather it just be baked into the room fee rather than feeling like I was being nickel and dimed on parking. But I will definitely return, parking fee or not!
