Hotell Moevenpick Hotel Deira - Dubai

Excellent hotel with very good central location. We got upgrade from Junior suit to Executive Suit and the rooms are huge and spacy. The hotel is very new, and the stuff very nice. The only drawback is that the location is close to the airport and you can hear airplanes landing at DXB. Otherwise I can strongly recommend the hotel.

Thouroughly enjoyed it. Very clean throughout. Taxi is always available outside. Level 5 was great especially with a side breakfast and drinks available to those of executive rooms. We stayed at the hotel for four nights and had three full days exploring Dubai. The hotel is located near to the airport and took 15 minutes by taxi. The hotel is well situated for anyone who has an overnight stop over between countries. We had a few days in Dubai and because Dubai is so vast, the hotel was perhaps a little far to travel to the must […] see attractions. Saying that, the transport system is very good and there is a Metro station 5 minutes away (2 minutes walk and 3 minutes waiting to cross the road!) If you do not want to travel by train, there are always taxis waiting outside the hotel. The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much to assist you in anyway. We had the room only and did miss having a breakfast, although there is a option to pay extra and have the breakfast, high speed Wifi etc package. For us, we felt it was a little pricey. We made the most of the gym and swimming pool which was excellent. We also took advantage of the free shuttle to the palm where the hotel has use of one of the resort's facilities, which makes one forgive the hotel's location. The shuttle drops off and does pick up in the afternoon, leaving a full day of relaxation and the use of the very good swimming pool and bar there. The room we had was spacious, clean and most importantly quiet! After a long day exploring Dubai, it was nice to get back and relax at the hotel. The bar was a little dark and a bit 'eighties' but pleasant enough. Also it was quite hard to get used to smoking in there as we have been used to England bars and pubs. The food was very nice and quite inexpensive, we only ate at the hotel once as there are lots of restaurants in Dubai. We would definitely return to this hotel if we were stopping over in Dubai. EXELLENT SERVICE I 'LL RETUREN TO THIS HOTEL IN MY NEXT TRIPE

Good 5 star hotel and good standards. Service was very good, staff were very helpful. Only comment is to do with the excursions for the Desert evening; after specific discussion and payments, the 'NET' Desert excursion left a lot to be desired. They were not fully aware of the exact time we were supposed to be picked up and there was a delay and it […] spoilt the timings for the day for us; also we had an accident during the excursion as the 4X4 turned a complete 24 hour where fortunately no one was hurt but I was bruised badly, The restaurant food for the evening was not that great. Swimming pool is a little small and facilities are satisfactory for the gym..But overall the hotel was good and we would not mind staying there again. Läs mer

The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Very thankful to them for making our stay so enjoyable. The hotel is not far from the airport, but it's not very close to the attractions. They do have bus shuttle service to major malls and to the beach. Also the taxis are pretty inexpensive and there is a subway station within walking distance. […] So overall, I didn't find the location too bad. The buffet for lunch was very good at the restaurant. We stayed in a double twin room and it was very spacious and comfortable. The pool is small and there is a sauna which we didn't care much about anyway. The hotel provides free bottled water. A nice place, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, really close to a metro station. One major "but" is the location. It's located quite close to the airport, which can be very convenient, but on the other hand tends to get somewhat noisy. There are aircraft flying over every couple of minutes, and you do hear them. Breakfast buffet is (still) better […] than in most hotels. The gym is really good, too. The pool on the roof is somewhat depressing though, as your only view is a concrete wall and you get a complimentary aircraft passing over you head every couple of minutes. And by the way...contrary to what the lady at the reception tells you while trying to get you for an "executive upgrade", the hotel has free wifi in the entire building, no password needed. The Moevenpick Hotel is real great place to stay at. :-) The Business Lounge option (incl. breakfast & internet) on 5th floor was great - you can escape from busy breakfast downstairs. The gym was just great and the staff's flexibility in openening the gym even after 22:00 o'clock was tremendously friendly. :-) The bar was the only negative thing, which […] unfortunately was heavily loaded with old & stinky cigarette smoke and some "real strange girls" were hanging around there as well (on some days). It was quite surprising to have a siren at 4:30 AM for more than 40 minutes without any reaction the next day at the check out, not even an apology or a question about how it was.

Stayed here for 2 nights en route from Kolkata to London with my wife. Excellent in every respect; staff extremely helpful (and cheerful) - great value for money.

The professional, friendly personalized service is the best my husband and I have experienced in a very long time. We read reviews that said the same thing, but truly the service is over-the-top. We also read reviews suggesting the location is not the best. Unless you want a hotel directly on the beach, the location of this hotel could not be better. […] It is nearly next door to a metro stop and we found the metro easier and faster than taxis. Also, for beach lovers, the complimentary shuttle and access to a private beach club was outstanding! We paid the small additional fee for the executive lounge, and it was worth every penny for the convenience of l breakfast in a private area, as well as tea and happy hour with excellent food. I Have Stayed in many Hotels around the world, regardless if it is 3 start or 5 star the Moevenpick is in the top 5. The Service was great, the Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was exceptional, even the standard room was spacious and quite comfortable. There are Many Hotels in Dubai to choose from, but my next visit to Dubai, I would stay […] in the Moevenpick. I stayed from 17 of Aug 2011 for one week in this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone who wanna stay in a comfy and clean hotel. It takes almost 5-10 min by taxi to get to the deira city center. Overall,my experience with this hotel was great.

This hotel is a nice hotel conveniently located in Diera. It is clean, the staff was friendly and had all the amenities that I needed. I wouldl recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed in the hote t;he month it opened and it certainly was not ready for prime time. Price for value is way out of line, particularly dining. Expensive for what you get, even for Dubai.

i upgraded to the executive sweet for some peace annd quiet. I wanted to go tp the club for some drinks and people watching, but was told i could not wear crocs. there is a rule regarding "open toed shoes" but clearly crocs are not open toes and this hotel has just arbitrarily decided they do not like them. The fact that i paid extra and then denied […] entrance based on footwear....this will impact my decision to stay there again.....silly policy....no flexibility and the manager on duty....or so she said....unreasonable.....i should be allowed to sit in a bar when i am appropriately attired before my 14 hour flight home.....nice hotel....staff attentive.....management...not so much and i doubt i would stay here again.... Wonderful experience for a first time visitor to this facility. Staff exceptional and professional. Priced affordably, convenient location. Am returning next year and plan to stay here with other friends.

I chose this hotel because they were running deals on it, and because of its proximity to the airport. It was a 20 minute ride to the hotel, and when I arrived I was impressed by the quality of service. Upon arriving they noted it was my first stay and gave me a free upgrade to a suite, a room I was quite impressed with. Access to the lounge was a […] definite plus, as were the bathrooms and the impeccable state of the room. The restaurants in the hotel were good, not great, but again the service was the star. My only complaint is the area. I would definitely stay again for business, but for pleasure I will continue to stay at jumeirah beach. For business travelers and the terminally jetlagged it is a great find. For families or tourists, look elsewhere. Läs mer

I stayed here for 5 nights in May. Wonderful staff and room. Very modern and comfortable. Location is good, can walk to several restaurants. I would recommend this hotel.

Dubai has so many great hotels in great areas that this hotel will have its location as its only negative. Its staff, cleanliness, attention to customer service are all great and above expectations. If you don't mind the taxi fare to where you want to go, I recommend this hotel highly.

This new 5-star Hotel everything's awesome! The staff (including internship staff) are professionals to provide excellent hospitality service. I enjoyed incredible Chinese dishes at the Wok-in Restaurant everyday. You've to enjoy recreation activities and relaxation atmosphere at the Oceana Beach Club with the Hotel's complimentary shuttle bus. Hotel is quite new and it looks workable for a night for business reasons or if you have to be close to the airport ( 7km = taxi 40 dirhams). Early check in was possible, but not late check out. Hotel is not overbooked and they did not offer me a later check out than 2 pm. Food is not the best one, just ok. I had a great time at Movenpick. The Good: It’s a new hotel, the staff is well versed and tipping is not required but well deserved. The front desk staff especially Leo was great. Room service was prompt on both occasions that I used it. The food was warm and as expected. The location is about a 10 minute drive to downtown, five minutes to cinema […] or major shopping. Theree are smaller malls, with fast food, pharmacy and medical close by. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport and taxis are cheap in the Emirates. The pool facility, sauna and pool were top notch. The pool temp was perfect. The towels soft and the staff were helpful. The room was a mid range room, great internet, many channels on the tube. The bed was soft as I would have at any American home not hard that you find in the east. The [pillows were soft and comfortable. Toiletries in the room come from fancy dispensers that don’t work well. I think they should rethink the soaps idea. My shower leaked into the bed portion and I had to throw a towel down to absorb the small leak, but it is a new hotel and it was to be expected. The room was cleaned properly each day. The rooms have sound proof walls and windows. You will be hard pressed to hear anything outside. The main washroom in the lobby provides face cloths to refresh yourself, what a great idea. The concierge knew what they were talking about and sent me to the right location every time. Dining was very good and I had many choices for breakfast. The chef made my eggs perfectly! I work in Iraq and cannot get runny eggs but I can at Movenpick! I had to remind the staff to charge it to my room otherwise I would have had a free breakfast on my third day. The Bad: My only complaint… the food was charged at almost two and half times the normal for breakfast. Läs mer

Moevenpick Hotel Deira var et flott hotell med en veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening. Maten var variert og god. Noe for alle.

Dieses Hotel liegt direkt in Deira, die Flugzeuge fliegen direkt über das Hotel. Für Business gut geeignet, wer Erholung sucht, sollte ein anderes Hotel wählen. Die Metro-Station ist fußläufig gut erreichbar, allerdings zu den Malls benötigt man ca. 20 Min. inkl. Umsteigezeit. Es ist zwar ein 5* Hotel, aber ich würde nur 4* geben. Meget hjælpsom og imødekommende personale. Ok pool og perfekt træningsrum. Vi købte executive pakken og var rigtig godt tilfreds med den. Kun 10 minutter til lufthavnen. Kan varmt anbefales.

Hotellet er generelt fint, men ikke helt 5 stjerners niveau. Personalet på hotellet yder dog en 5 stjerners service. Det største minus er beliggenheden (Deira), som nok ikke er det område de fleste forbinder med Dubai nu om dage. Helt genialt med gratis transport til fantastisk poolområde og strand på The Palm - virkelig et stort plus!
