Hotell Shining Star Beachfront - Hokitika

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved sitting on our deck hearing the ocean. The chalet itself was very appealing and we felt at home there. Had everything we needed other than we could have used more hangers or drawers to put our clothes in.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Perfect place to stay on the west coast!! Chalet was clean, service was exceptional, staff was very helpful, only downfall the mattress needs replacing. Would recommend!

A pleasant property, beach location is nice, and quite liked the Highland cattle grazing close by, a bit of the exotic rural with the seaside!!.

I stayed in one of the beachfront king chalets overlooking the Tasman Sea. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful in telling me about the town--what to see, where to go to get something to eat, and about the glow worm dell right across the street. My chalet was luxurious--large screen TV, electric blanket, mini-kitchenette, remote controlled […] heat pump, and a very comfortable bed. I loved seeing and hearing the sea, which was a brief walk away. That night, I borrowed a flashlight from the front desk and walked across the highway to see the glow worms. This was amazing! I had always thought you had to go into a cave to see them, but here they were--hundreds of them--easily accessible and I was the only one there to see it at the time. Läs mer

Awesome place to stay, we stayed in a Beachfront Spa Chalet and had a wonderful time. Very nice chalet with 10metres to the beach. Nice big double spa corner bath Two TVs, one massive one in the lounge and a smaller 32inch in the bedroom

Good stopping point on the west coast with plenty of room in the well equipped beachfront units. Easy walk along the beach into Hokitika.

This was our favourite stay in NZ. We had a beachfront chalet and it was 'on the beach' - we could hear and see the sea. The chalet was spacious, extremely well appointed - the kitchenette had a hob as well as all the usual facilties - light, airy and clean. The bathroom was a joy to use witha big shower and fluffy towels. Outside the chalet we had […] a private veranda with an unobscured view - perfect for relaxing with a book and a drink. The Shining Star Complex is ideally located being at the back of sand dunes of the lovely beach in Hokitika. It is located on the edge of the town but within a short walk. It is located opposite glow worm caves which are free. The units are well equipped with a good kitchenette. The bedroom is on a higher mezzanine level with a second TV.

Olimme 1 yön. Hotelli sijaitsee lähes rannalla, siitä suuri plussa. Meidän huoneiston ja rannan välissä oli parkkipaikka, jossa kuitenkin liikenne oli vähäistä. Hieman oli kulunneen tuntuinen, mutta kuitenkin ihan Ok. Sänky ei ollut ihan parhaimmasta päästä, mutta sekin Ok.
