Hotel is in downtown San Antonio. The only parking for the hotel is their valet parking which will cost you $27 a night + tax. Their valet service is a joke. I guess when that is the only way your car gets parked at the hotel they don't have to provide decent service. The hotel itself was nice and clean. The room was very comfortable. Surpassed our expectations by far. Inside this is a gorgeous hotel. Perfect location on the river close to everything yet not the crowded section. Rooms are very big, super clean and just really tasteful and beautiful . Will be back!

It was ok. The restaurant ("Luke") was awful, it wasn't anything like it was advertised. The food was terrible, and they didn't have some of the items on the menu. The breakfast buffet was good. The rooms were nice, we had a suite and so we had a lot of room. We could have stayed at a hotel two blocks away, pay way less, and still be right there on […] the riverwalk, (which is way overrated.) A huge down side is there is no free parking, you have to pay $30 for valet parking (which they took a long time to get us our car), and the parking across the street is a little less because you have to pay 2x a day. I had never stayed this far from the convention center. Very walkable to Market area and the RiverWalk is stil very nice at this end. Might be my new favorite place to stay in San Antonio.

I was excited to go on this Friday since we had recommended other members of our family to stay there since we enjoyed it the previous couple of visits. We arrived around 6 30 pm exhausted from the road trip to get there so we just wanted to get to our room and freshen up to meet our other parties. Unfortunately we got stuck in elevator for 10 minutes, […] we given a room key for the wrong room and the desk clerk was very rude to my child. My family of 5 was in San Antonio for a graduation. We were all in the same suite which worked out well. Beds very good, HVAC was silent. Everything very clean. Hotel lobby elegant. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding in a beautiful dining room overlooking Riverwalk. If I would quibble about anything I'd say they could use a little more help at […] the front desk and valet was a little slow with the car. I was in and out several times, calling ahead and still had to wait. The restaurant (Luke) was decidedly mediocre but there are all kinds of other outstanding places close by. This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The room was so nicely decorated and I loved having a seating area with separate bedroom. The free breakfast had anything you could possibly want to eat, and the 2 hour free happy hour was crazy!!! I will never stay at a different hotel if there is an Embassy Suites in the city I'm visiting. Stayed 8 days. The overall experience was good, with a couple of minor issues. Breakfast, although plentiful, was cold...the containers didn't keep the food warm. Evening reception, was good, but the same stuff for 8 days was disappointing. I've stayed in hotels with evening receptions where they vary the menu. Front desk staff tried to be helpful, […] but I found the staff in the Drury far more helpful, with maps of the area provided by staff. (just dropped in to the Drury) they also didn't have phone books, and kept referring you to the available computer so you could do the research. This would probably work if you were computer savvy, but it was frustrating for my husband and wifi kept kicking me off. If you like to sun, you won't enjoy the pool, it's shaded most of the day except for the early morning. The in room information says that the USA Today is delivered to your room daily. Not true. The front desk said they don't do that, they have the Wall Street Journal and USA Today in the lobby for guests to pick up. We got down to the lobby most days by 8:30 and with the exception of one day, the USA Today was gone. The room was nice and the bed comfortable with a big selection of pillows. It's close to the river walk and the night life but far enough away to give you a quiet, restful time. We didn't have a car, but everything was in walking distance. Watch for the happy hour specials all over the river walk. Overall we had a good time. Läs mer

Very comfortable beds, and enough room for a family of 5 in this two room suite! Lovely view of the Riverwalk, and all of the staff were very friendly! The huge buffet breakfast every morning saved our family a lot of money! We were able to spend it doing fun things like the Imax, and seeing a play at the Empire Theater! It's a great location despite not being on the Riverwalk. (About 4 blocks) The staff was very attentive...they even called our room to make sure we got our " do not disturb " sign that was missing. Parking was very expensive- $27 per day-but that's par for the course for most hotels in large cities where parking is at a premium. The hotel was well kept, our room was clean and room service was prompt and polite. The location of the hotel was nice however parking is disappointingly expensive. Valet for overnight is twenty-seven or you can park across the street for twenty (I spelled the numbers out because the review doesn't post if list specific rates). I can tell you that I will never stay in that hotel again. I paid for a room with a king bed, I got one with a queen bed. Really not a big deal; however, the way the hotel rep handled the issue was really bad. His customer service skills were terrible, extremely arrogant individual. Nothing but great reviews in all categories for this hotel! Bed was comfortable, room was spacious, staff friendly, breakfast tasty. I was not able to take advantage of the 5:30 to 7:30pm cocktail hours, which I would have loved to.

We loved the location of the hotel!! it was right on the river walk. Beautiful!! Everything thru out the hotel was nice. Really enjoyed the full breakfast and happy hour!! Staff was friendly and helpful!! My only complaint was that we ended up in a handicap room!!! and they "said" they didn't have any other King rooms available!!!! I've traveled to San Antonio several times over the past few years & I must admit this hotel stay was money well spent & the best stay by far! I know alot of people complained about having to pay the valet parking but I thought it was convenient & worth it, however they do have parking right across the street for a little less but doesn't give you that […] extra little peace of mind! I really love the fact of the complimentary cook to order breakfast (which I thought was great) they also serve complimentary drinks & dinner as well. The pool & jacuzzi are a bit small but nontheless nice...I really don't have any complaints & would honestly recommend the Embassy Suites to whomever has never been & is looking to stay on the riverwalk :-) Läs mer

The hotel staff was really friendly, we were greeted with smiles, had our room key in hand quickly and was on to the room! The bed was not very comfortable that was my only complaint. It was a bit of a walk to the Riverwalk shops and eating places and there were a few homeless under the bridge right where the hotel sits, but the hotel can't really help […] that issue. beautiful hotel. beautiful rooms. excellent free breakfast (best I've ever seen) and free happy hour very nice! Maid service was a little uneven. All the maids I tried to talk to in order to get service did not understand English, which makes it difficult to communicate. Other than that, the hotel was very nice and met our needs.

When we arrived at 3:00 the staff told us the room wasn't ready yet and they would call us when it was. We hadn't heard from them as of 5:30 so we called them They told us that the room was ready. We went back and checked in. When we arrived at our room it was really nice. We unpacked and kicked off our shoes for a bit and stepped on a popcorn kernel. […] Upon further inspection we found a hair tie on the floor and a wad of hair. It looked like someone had cleaned out their brush. The bath tub had hair in it as well. I was not impressed. The managers reception was a nice surprise but they served dried out cheeses and the fruit didn't look much better. The drinks were fine. The breakfast was great. I loved the made to order omelet. Not enough toilet paper, no wash cloths, trashcan in bathroom was not clean, had to call housekeeping and one day it was 1:00 pm and room had not been cleaned.

About a block from the main riverwalk area, but I liked being a bit off the beaten path.. Hotel was older but clean, and rooms were large and comfortable. Easy walk to Alamo, shopping and riverwalk areas. I would stay here again!
