Hotell Icon Hotel - Luton

We had a good (but short) time at the hotel. The rooms were clean, and had a high standard, compared to other hotels i've been in England. The key-card didn't work at two occations, but the staff worked effectivly to solve the problem. An excellent choice for a stop over for flights from Luton airport. Its only a short taxi ride away. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The room well furnished if a bit on the small side (In their defence I had booked the standard room).But one had to negotiated the bathroom door to get to the bed. The Hotel is like a boutique hotel in miniature in a retro eighties building. In miniature as its seems a title small? Chose the hotel for location near Luton Airport. Arrived 10pm, car park full. No problem they have an arrangement with the car park opposite. Job done, I thought..... 5am, check out, Carpark locked and the attendant would not allow […] me to revive my car. My flight to Barcelona closed at 7am, carpark would be open officially at 6:30. Hotel should have been able to get car out but not this time. Now the hotel agreed to take my keys and move my car and get me a taxi to the airport and I would collect my car 3 days later. This was a solution that worked, not perfect but it worked, so credit where credit is due. The situation was handled OK, but should not have occurred, some would say? So I say Thank you to the staff and I will come back, if I need to fly out of Luton, but manage your supplier relationships better, oh they also had a broken lift and no draft beer, supplier relationships.....? We have just returned from a fabulous three day stay at the Icon Hotel in Luton. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel was modern, clean and airy. My Wife and I stayed here a week will I was in the area for business. Everything and everyone were great. The hotel only has 10 parking places but it always seemed to work out!

Amazing!! Clean rooms, great staff, super comfort, and all was great!

the staff were amazing. helpful. gracious amazig. the hotel is a bit of sketchy neighborhood. no one had heard of it...including the driver. good price. worked out fine to get to the hotel the enxt day, but if I had to stay more than one night and the flight were for business and not pleasure the next day, I would have been nervous.

A very good hotel with a fantastic staff and a good sensibly priced restaurant let down by minor faults. The rooms are cmfortable and well equiped but when anyone had cleaned under the desk is anyones guess judging by the dust. Similarly the breakfast is really good with plenty of selection on the buffet and freshly cooked traditional fare. But the […] coffee was vile. Can a Boutique Hotel not run to caffatier`s of decent coffee? Last minor gripe. The restaurant serves good food from a small but interesting menu. The food is well cooked and for a change in this type of hotel restaurant the steaks were cooked exactly as requested. Why then do the portions vary so much? We had the excellent antipasti starter on the first night and it was big enough for the two of us to share. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered it again on the second night but the portion had shrunk by about a third! This is a good hotel with a fantastic staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, who were so obviously a happy team and professional at all times. Would we stay again? nice hotel, great staff, all friendly and helpful. great value, a bit noisey due to christmas party going on friday night but all quiet by 12.30 so ok, slept well comfortable bed, easy walk to town, Breakfast a bit disappointing had better at an Ibis hotel. overall good.

Myself and a friend stayed here for one night in November, and we were delighted with our stay. It was a short visit but was perfect for what we had planned. The hotel is very convenient to the airport - only a short taxi ride. The hotel is new and beautifully finished, with clean rooms, very comfortable beds, all facilities that you need and very helpful […] staff. We had to call on them twice and they were more than happy to help. Our only disappointment was the food. There was an event on the night we were there and the dining room was temporarily allocated to a make shift room for the night. There was no issue with that, but there was a long delay in ordering & receiving the food, and the quality of the food was ok. The breakfast we got delivered to room and was certainly not worth the £10.95 we had to pay for it. Poor quality and cold coffee. However this was only the food, and while it could have been much better, it did not take from our stay in the Icon. I would recommend staying, and if I had to be in the Luton area again would stay myself, but would not stay for the dining. Läs mer
