Excellent location. Guest house was just what you'd expect for the money we paid. We liked it, the bed, toilet & shower were all clean, the room warm & everything we needed was available. I would warn however that it's not a place for the seriously house proud! If dust on skirtings offends book somewhere else! :-)

The decor in areas is a bit tired but some efforts are being made to improve, but the location and friendliness of the manager outwiegh this. The breakfast was perfectly adequate for our needs and the location ideal for anyone visiting the west end or university area. We had a small ground floor room at the front. After booking the confirmation email stated if you are to arrive at the hotel after 9pm you should contact the hotel to let them know. I did exactly that only to be told by the hotel that I cannot come after 9pm as they don't don't want to pay staff to stay and wait to let guests to arrive.The problem here is that if thats their policy then why let […] you book it online in the first place. Maybe there should be a notice on expedia saying you cannot book this hotel if you plan to arrive after 9pm in the evening. I managed to arrive at 9pm. The breakfast was to start at 8am, however, that failed to happen. There was no breakfast served at all and there was no staff in the hotel to ask what had gone wrong. I telephoned the hotel, no answer, I rang the hotel main door bell , no answer, I called expedia to help. They phoned the hotel but they could not get an answer from anyone at the hotel. I left the hotel at 10am. No staff, no breakfast, no one to check me out...just nothing. Dreadful experience. Läs mer

I had a great stay and well looked after at breakfast.its near the bus stopand underground i will be going back to the hotel.

Other than the location suiting our requirements, I have nothing good to say about this guest house. Ad said full breakfast included. Breakfast was non existent. Had to ask for everything from milk, water for kettles to make our own drinks, juice, bread. Need I go on. There was no-one on hand to attend to us. Fruit looked like it had been in the bowl […] for about two weeks and any food laid was first handled by the manager and then left uncovered. The room and decor was tired. There were holes in bathroom floor. Towels had holes in them and were paper thin. Our bedroom door was constantly blocked by wedging a fire door open against it. Toilet seat had to be held up if you were male. Undeserving of title of guest house. Läs mer
