Fantastic place. Electronic entry. Tastefully themed rooms. Very tidy and clean. But let down by plastic undersheet: made for a sweaty night's sleep.

Lovely location, very quiet, gorgeous rooms, very comfy beds. Breakfast lovely and good choices, 5 mins from 2 lovely local pubs for a swift pint, didn't eat there but menus looked lovely. Will definately recomend to family and friends........

This is one of the best Guest Houses we have stayed at in the UK. The 5 star rating is richly deserved. Comfort, service and quality of the breakfast could not be faulted. Outstanding.

This guest house is lovely. Nice size rooms and incredibly peaceful. We didn't get disturbed which was refreshing. Breakfast was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely small guesthouse with indiviually decorated rooms. I stayed in the "Contemporary Room" (number 4). There was an extremely comfortable double/king bed, wardrobe, dressing tabel, tea/coffee making facilities, wall mounted tv and fabulous underfloor heating. The adjoining bathroom was spacious and had a very powerful shower. Fantastic. […] Everything was very clean and modern and whilst the room wasn't huge, I was sleeping it, not living in it, so it served me very well. Breakfast was available from 7.30am (or earleir if required) and was delicious. There was a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad and cooked (to order) breakfast. They don't provide any other meals, but there was a thoughfully prepared Information book available in the communal Lounge and in each bedrrom which had a map of local pubs and restaurants (suprisingly a lot in a walkable distance). The book even had the menu's of some of the pubs/restaurants inside. We walked to the Maypole which took 5mins, and then walked down to the Hazel Pear, another 5mins, where we ate both nights and the food was lovely. All in all a great stay. Stayed for one night Sat 11 Feb 2012. Exceptional level of cleanliness throughout including the grounds. We stayed in the Contemporary Room. The decor, furniture and fittings are to a very high standard in both the room and en-suite. It was a very cold weekend but the room was very warm and cosy. Other guests were staying and you could not hear any […] noise from the other rooms. The conversion has obviously been carried out to a very high standard. Superb guest house, the rooms are fitted to a very high spec! the views from the guest house are amazing, and plenty of choice for local bars within walking distance. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming - and really can't be more helpful!
